But it is a V8. Why would anyone claim it isn't?
So Florida is finally getting some (relatively) cool weather..
There really is something about cruisin through town with the windows down, and the sensation of building up the revs, and changing gear.. It's almost therapeutic ;D
If I wind down the driver window on my car I can't get it up again, the winder is broken and just skips cogs, at least that's what it sounds like.

First result on google without even clicking on the link:
The SLR McLaren sports a hand-built 5.4-litre, supercharged V8 engine.
:v:
the same engine as a mustang gt500?
No.
"The car is powered by a 540 horsepower 5.4-liter (330 CID) supercharged V-8 version of the base GT500 engine with functional Cold Air Intake and unique calibration"

This was at work, the fender cover probably costs more than most of our cars.
If I had enough money for an R8 I'd pay for the stupid cover, I wouldn't want some clumsy mechanic to mess up the paint.
[sp]Or alternatively work on the car myself.[/sp]
rained a lot today, now it's about -5c
slippery as fuck
cold tires, even slightly wet roads for me is drift time.
Pulled out of parking spot, did a bend and car was ready to go sideways i was like woooooooooahhhh. Then everyone else at work had the same issue as we all left.
Gotta get my winter wheels straightened out and painted before the snow comes :|
If only there was a dry day coming soon...
snow isn't as bad as ice though
I want a RWD car, I can't doriftu with my stupid FWD Opel.

The Shelby GT500 has a 5.4 liter Ford Modular V8.
The SLR McLaren has a 5.4 liter M155 ML55.
Entirely different engines. Why would Mercedes belittle themselves so much as to put an inferior Ford-built engine into one of their iconic hypercars?

Images like that make me so happy that the only belt that takes anything more than a jack and removing a motor mount to remove on my car is the timing belt.
I don't think you could pay me to replace belts on motors like that.
Actually the way the Ford is layed out, you need only undo the tensioner and unroute the belt.
i've changed a belt on a MB OM904LA with 2 alternators
never again

My old car used to do that when I rolled the window down too far., but it was missing part of the door panel so I could just shove my hand in the door and push the track back against the motor. Don't know if you feel like ripping your door panel off though...
Alright, so once again I'm gathering ideas on what car to get. Right now, my requirements are manual transmission, RWD or 4WD, American made (imposed by my dad), and be able to seat at least 4 people. Currently most interested in a Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0L or a 3rd gen Camaro with the 350ci.

Budget, Likes?
Oh yeah. Under $2500 preferably.
Ugh. Sick.
Going to bed early, calling on this car tomorrow and seeing what exactly happened to the distributor. I have the parts to rebuild it and it could be driven home from there, so if that's all that is wrong, I can see the tags are up to date, I may have me a new DD.
Will be pretty cool, having two Chevy compact cars from the 70s. We'll see how it goes.
New co-worker of mine borrowed 20 dollars from me yesterday, tells me he'll pay me back Friday. Today I come in and my manager tells me he quit
