rip cars on the east coast with cold air intakes
Good.
bah. stupid rain, i want to be working on my cars but it's been raining like crazy all day and it's probably going to do the same tomorrow.. and the day after that, and the day after that
fucking. figures i just get my 20 day plate hoping to be able to get the other car on the road and go for a ride and then it's going to rain like a bastard for the next week
Went to the store again, each time I go there's always a new set of cool cars outside:

Bought some nice poly bushings for my caster/tension rods and a boot for my shifter. Pieces of tooth-less hose clamps as well.
Each day that passes I have a chance to improve upon this car. Now I'm going to start paying for my own insurance on this car too. No more leeching off dad
You know guys, I don't post here allot, but I really enjoy reading everyone's comments and seeing small internet relationships grow.
Everyone here is (generally) accepting and nice towards each-other.
I just want to thank everyone for providing some good information, helping others learn,
and showing everyone aspects of other car cultures (Imports and German cars, moreso on my part).
People like Hell-Strike, Bradley, and a few others have always been there to throw information my way when needed.
Thank you all for adding into this small community.
Facepunch sub-culture of the year, 2012

dead serious btw. This place is heaven compared to some others
I swear its because of scalpels.
I don't even know who started this scalpel thing. I've seen people saying it.
Anyways, I like AA. Aside from the occasional rude people who pop up, everyone is nice. And I try to be helpful in exchange.

That year we got hit with four in a row. Good thing we still have our pathfinder.

What can cause low oil pressure? Usually not an issue until engine is warm and then while only at idle (stoplight or whatever)

Warn piston rings can cause low oil pressure.
Can't seem to find any guides, videos, or anything on this so was wondering if you guys could help.
Anyone know if its possible to install a stereo unit on the lower area of a 97 civic EX where the CD player is vs the upper area? If so, how?

For those not aquanted, the Civic EX's have the CD player where the cup holders are under the main unit (you can't see it in the picture since the guy has the cup holder lid up, which blocks the CD player). That's where I'd want to install my stereo unit
I want to put it there because the size is the exact size you'd need to fit a stereo unit inside, so I don't have to buy a mounting kit. It also wouldn't make sense to have 2 CD players installed (what would happen if I just installed it where the radio is). I also don't want to lose my keyless entry, and on the 97 you need the stock stereo installed to have that work.
Problem is, 99% of stuff I find is for installing a new stereo to replace the old radio, when I just want to replace the CD player so I can have my own CD player that has an aux input built in.
where do you live? let's trade places, I want some fucking rain
New England.. it may be rain now but in a month or so, it ain' gon' be rain no mo'.
It sucks because I love having the 4 seasons.. i really don't like summer, i prefer spring/fall (on days that it doesn't rain, at least..) 'cause i love temperatures from 40-65. being able to work outside and not be sweating like crazy is great and seeing as I do HVAC/r for a living, i spent a lot more time outside than inside most of the time.
..but I hate winter. I like the cold, I hate the snow. Well, really, I don't mind snow - I hate the salt that snow incurs. I would love living somewhere like Texas, Arizona or Cali (especially Cali) because old cars are EVERYWHERE (especially Beetles) and they're mostly rust free. The sand wreaks havoc and if they're too close to the ocean, the salt water wreaks havoc but it's still better than guaranteed road salt 4-6 months every year (well, December of one year and until March-April of the next)
and that's another rant on how weather is a bitch but i hate hot weather too much to move somewhere that doesn't have snow and my favorite cars are plentiful in pretty rust-free, running condition
Warn piston rings can cause low oil pressure.
Piston rings refer to cylinder pressure, they have nothing to do with oil pressure. The oil circulation system is a complete system from oil pickup tube, oil pump, crankshaft journal, rod bearing journals, oil squirter on some rods, oil passages to the cylinder head, oil journal(s) through the camshaft(s) on some engines (not all), and then there are return ports on the head where it pools in the pan.
Any one of those parts can cause low oil pressure. Generally you're looking at a weak oil pump, bad rod bearing, or otherwise a leak somewhere in the system (Maybe the sending unit is leaking? Crankshaft seal?).
Check that you don't have ANY leaks, and make sure that it's of course full of oil (low oil -> oil pickup can't get to the oil), and from there it's an internal problem (oil pump or worse).
Short throw shifter on the way... and my midpipe is getting here tomorrow!

Nice and quiet shouldn't be in the same sentence when talking about exhaust.

I'm so used to driving loud shit, I don't mind a good sounding but quieter exhaust from time to time.
Have you made any progress on your Volvo? Hoping you get it back together alright.
Everyone look at the laughable fitment of the FMIC on this thing:
