Besides, your merc is cool.[/QUOTE]

im crying
I've got a question..
I've got my Golf II and my corrado,
Now that i'm a mechanic, and i want to make a little money, i have a friend selling a Peugeot 1.3 rallye,
brakes are failing, and that is basically all that is needed to repair...
Should i take the shot?
because i'm in need of a little extra money for my project car (corrado)
But again, the time, and the money put into the Peugeot...
So i'm right now 50-50 about it, want to hear you guys what you think..

I did something the same and I have found the breaks on a peugeot to be a pain sometimes. I would do a really good check on them to make sure that is the only thing wrong. But yet breaks in general can be a pain.
Hard to give advice based on so little info.
You should make an estimate of the cost and time of repairing and purchasing and then you should do some research on what kind of money that particular car usually goes for.
Calculate the money you can gain from it, and if it's enough to take the risk do it.
Oh and always remember to ask for "buddy discount" unless your friend is in dire need of money.
Like the car is cheap, REALLY cheap, and as far as i know the brake lines are corroded.. But i can make them for nothing at my work place..
Guessing you mean you get it for a good price. Again this sounds like a winning situation if you can, at least to some degree, verify that you can make a nice profit.

My transmission leaks everywhere and I need to replace it, that doesn't mean i'm giving up though.

I can't work on my cars like you guys. We've put thousands of dollars (talking more than 8) into this car in the past 2 years just to keep it running. We simply can't afford it any longer.
The bmw 7 series is the exact same, 3 grand a year to maintain it. But an old e30 is rather nice and simple.

I really don't want to see anymore bmw, I can throw a rock and hit 20 3 series outside my window.

Well...its not 3 grand a year. We've owned other BMWs, my best friend just got a 530, and the maintenance is not that much. It's roughly 1500 a year, which is much more manageable. I also wanted a car that isn't a boat. My Mercedes has had blown shocks for the last year, and it makes it ride like shit. I have new shocks, but I'm going to either return them, or install them and sell the car.
Who knows, we may keep the merc and put it in storage. I just wanted a newer car that isn't totally broken.
We rebuilt the transmission twice on it last year - that is not a normal repair job.
God fucking damnit I hate my family.

A friend of mine's got a 70cc moped, and he goes through a tank of gas either each day, every second day or something like that (he rides A LOT), or well, he used to but not anymore, since now the snow has finally come to our little town, and this time I think it's for the rest of the winter :v:
Just testing my new cheap dashcam. Didn't record at maximum resolution but it's not too bad.
Average Winnipeg drive home:

I work at subway, making shit. I basically live paycheck to paycheck. I have budgeted no more than $80 per two weeks for gas
Make them pay a couple of dollars for each journey.

I am way too nice to charge my own family for transportation
Well if its starting to make you struggle financially then you'll either have to make them cough up or deny them lifts completely. I'm sure they'd understand.

IIRC the Aspen isn't too common at all. I think they only made a few years of them.
Almost bought one with a slant six in it a couple years ago, was super clean like that one.
could've tarbo'd the slant six, ive seen one at like 390 rwhp with 20 pounds of boost
why wont it snow here :(((
oh yeah it might because my dad might be forced to take a job in chicago. ive lived in florida since 99 and ive always loved the north but now it might actually happen? fuck man
And yes the Aspen is pretty rare.
