oh well, we only care about their motorcycles anyway.
I liked the small offroaders, such as the Samurai and the bigger ones, such as the Grand Vitara and just Vitara. And Jimny.
Little update about me buying the Peugeot rallye, I didn't buy it, even though it was a good deal, the engine would not turn over, so either the starter engine was done, or the ignition it self.. and that would just be a pain in the ass to do.. I'm never buying a car without hearing the engine, unless it's on purpose..
you could have push started it to find out if it's the starter
so my 2003 explorer's alternator died when I was downtown last night. Me and my dad jumpstarted it 6 times and got it around 10 miles and half the distance to our house, before we called a tow truck. Borrowing my cousin's unused Toyota Corolla late 1990s. Being this low to the ground scares me (all the SUVs have their tires at my shoulder oh god), but I kind of like it too... also getting better than 13 MPG is cool.
you could have push started it to find out if it's the starter
No brakes, battery was dead, so i had my gold hooked up to it, and it was standing on a small hill...
auguhuguhhhh
Exactly what came out of my mouth as I scrolled down.
What are some simple things I can do to my car to improve it's appearance/performance? Already slapped a kn filter in there (:v:), and early next year I plan on getting a new intake. Anything I could replace after 72k miles?
spark plugs, wires, exhaust
oil :v: but seriously, timing belt and spark plug wires.
What are the best spark plugs I can buy? Or at least some of the best? And how easy is it to replace spark plugs?

There's only so much you can do to an Altima to make it look good as well as perform well. Essentially the engine on that is tuned for economical reasons. Just do a basic tune-up and replacement. Nissan already set out the parts you need to change at different mileage intervals. Consult your factory service manual. For my Nissan, it was complete flushing of all fluids. Replacements of plugs/wires/dizzy cap/rotor. Alignment and brake system check is also in order. Put on some cheapie Megan coilovers and some decent rims and call it a day. Its your car, you shouldn't have to ask for what kinds of tastes you like. Imo, its a daily cruiser so make it look VIP or just clean style; its not really meant for speed. It'll look good as much as you want to throw money at it. Imo, just clean it up and make sure its safe for your everyday driving. Save the better funds for a performance project car
I keep forgetting that 95% of people here couldn't care less about Altimas, guess I'll stick to Altima oriented forums for advice. Thanks for the tips though shiban
welp i'm hoping to actually finally get the brake lines in #2 done tomorrow.. i got those new rubber lines (all of 7-8" each, fff) and went to take apart the passenger side to get the old rubber line out and ended up ripping the end of the metal line connected to one side of the rubber line clean off so i ended up going to get another piece of brake line and between work and weather i've yet to really get a chance to crawl under there and put the new line on so i'm hoping to do that tomorrow morning followed by setting the points and timing and finally actually taking the old girl for a ride so i can find out that everything else is broken and i don't have any money so that's cool. all run on sentences were performed by professional whiners under the supervision of fuckin' nobody, fuck. please do not attempt this at home.

Thanks for the tips though shiban
Its not that dude. Its because we dont know what your tastes are or what you want to do with your Nissan. It really is up to you. There is really no "cheap" way to make something you're describing. Air intake kits are a money pit as they can actually be detrimental to performance; not a real cold-air intake. Coils are costly but dramatically change the feel and look of the car. Tinting windows/lights can also add to the look. What else do you want us to describe lol. Believe me, I like Altimas and I even side with Nissan. But keep it in perspective. Not everyone here owns an import/knows anything about Altimas
What are the best spark plugs I can buy? Or at least some of the best? asking for simple things then going on about coils and shit. get a tint, put leds everywhere and let the rice feel through your glorified camry
Whenever I turn my key to start my engine, I can hear a click in the engine bay which sounds like the solenoid is working, and the lights dim slightly which seems like the starter is pulling power from the battery, but it won't even crank at all. But it can't be a battery problem because last time it happened a boost didn't help and it didn't crank until the guy was jamming something down into the engine bay. I might go to a junk yard and pull off a solenoid to install, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to pull off the whole starter and change mine. I just don't want to have to pay extra for the whole part and then pay the fucking core fee. Any advice?
Sounds like your starter is dead. They aren't that expensive, you return your old starter and get the core fee back. Easier to just replace the whole thing.

Still pisses me off though that it was working fine until I got my tires changed. But I don't want to go back in there and blame them for breaking my car when it could have been a coincidence.
whoa whoa whoa, $200? What the hell kind of car are you driving? Maybe I just got lucky with my truck, I think I paid less than $80.
