Nice, now we need to start a euro tractor racing club, if there isn't one.
I wash my car every 2 - 3 days all winter long (OCD ftl). Theres no rust yet, and its 5 years old.
I wash my car between 8 and 12 times a year. :v:
Florida has its benefits, in that there's no dust to dirty up a car, and no snow to rust it out. Just fucking pollen everywhere in the summer which causes every car in the entire state to turn yellow.
Just sold my truck, I'm tearing up now.

Im worse in the summer since my job allows. I washed it 5-6 times a week this summer, and waxed it at least once a week. Serious OCD, but oh well, I love my car. It doesnt look like it has 110,000km on it. Sadly today, I even chanced getting stuck in 3 foot snow drifts so i wouldnt have to drive down salted roads.

This was cool
The Golf has become long
That feel when car door is frozen shut, then opening it makes the latch freeze open. Now I can't shut my door until the latch thaws and I have no way to heat it up to melt the ice.
Fuck.

Purchase two lighters, one in each hand :downs:
I ended up thumping the door panel until the mechanism popped and I shut the door and let the car warm up. Was fine after that.

One time it was so cold I broke the door handle to my nissan pathfinder.
I've never broken a door handle like this, but I have had doors stuck enough that they would NOT open. Encased in ice.
One time, my Colt's door was covered in a good 1/4-1/2 inch of ice, had to pour hot water over it and take an ice scraper to it until it finally broke free.
silicone spray in the door seals does wonders
I've had something like that. A tiny amount of water went into the lock of my car, froze over the night, door was completely un-openable. Had to wait for it to melt. :v:
Every time my door has frozen I have been able to get in from the passenger side and push the drivers door open
Sometimes the outside lock doesn't work when it's frozen but the inside does
Hairblowers makes wonders if shit like that happens, my friends moped both got ice in the keyhole, and had a sad engine that didn't want to start when it was cold. So he just took a hairblower, and first melted the ice, then warmed the engine and then drove off to school :v:
I used to heat my moped key very hot with a lighter and then slide it in
usually worked

getting it out was a different thing
Get those lock deicer and put Vaseline on your door seals. If your seals are new, you are better of putting Teflon grease or pure silicone oil. No more problem in winter related to doors.
Got the other pics of the Valiant!
Now I feel all giddy, it's looking great I think. The interior needs some work before I start yelling at women telling them to get in my car. But at least it looks okay.
Since someone said this'd get okay mileage I feel quite good about this.

Yeah it's pretty warm here too today considering it's been under 0 last week. But I'm pretty sure that my work location (Parc des Laurentides) is gonna be full of snow either ways, hell we had snow in September.
le parc des laurentides est vraiment epeurant quand tu vois les semi trucker a 120 sur la glace/neige en sans jamais toucher au freins.
truckers are the shits
