Wat? I actually wanted one of the craftsman digital one's.
There's a Harbor freight near me and there's cost like 22$ or somthing, But I want dat warranty so When I jump up and down on it I can take it back saying it broke wile tighting up a Minor bolt.
I bought one of Harbor Freight's Pittsburgh torque wrenches, along with a breaker bar, 3 sets of sockets, an extendable ratchet, and one of their cheaper tool boxes. Never had a single issue with any of them and they work well. In fact, the ratchet works better than my Craftsman ratchets do (it notches more frequently and with less travel). In addition, I also picked up a set of unibits there, which are ordinarily anywhere from $50+ at home depot, were only $15 at Harbor Freight. There's a lot of naysayers when it comes to cheap tools, but with uncomplex tools like sockets, wrenches, and bits, you can't really go wrong with the cheap stuff.
My buddy tried to use my 1/4" Pittsburgh Pro ratchet to break his 20 year old exhaust bolts loose, took it back and they handed me a new one without even walking past the cash registers or spending more than a minute in the store.
They always have coupons for $8(3/8") and $9(1/2) torque wrenches
My favorite ratchets are my Pittsburgh Pro ones actually, nice solid and lifetime warrantied like every Harbor Freight handtool.
See? :)

For some reason no one tries to race me in my car. The only people I've even had play with me was an STI (and it's not like I was going to even try... luckily he was very dumb and got himself pinned in between two cars while I blasted past him in 3rd gear on the freeway).
My city = 99% civic.
So, I bought an X-shaped tire iron at Vato Zone today (partly because I didn't want to wait on my friend with airtools to remove the lugnuts of death, and partly because not having a tire iron is a bad idea in general).
So I get the lugnuts off and...
[sp]...the caliper bolts are also tightened with the force of 1000 suns.
brb killing mechanics[/sp]

WD40 works too.

Toyota problems, I dont let mechanics touch my truck anymore because they overtorque everything.

I've broke their cheap sockets quite a few times, I bought a set of craftsman 3/8 and 1/2 metric sockets as well as a set of standard 3/8 sockets. The laser inscribed sockets are ridiculously nice when under a car, although I think the Pittsburgh Pro lineup has sets just like that which should be pretty good.
I also bought a set of wobbly extensions since I just couldn't bring myself to trust the Harbor Freight ones when I needed them to perform.
There's been a few tools from Harbor Freight which I've just wanted to throw away after using like my Air Compressor. However I have so many one time use tools I picked up for a few bucks like a spark plug wire boot puller that was $1.
We practically relied on $4 multimeters when building electrathon cars in highschool, 90% of our tools were Harbor Freight and frankly they all performed as needed with heavy abuse. If you mind occasionally breaking something which you paid 1/4 as much for and getting a new one for free Harbor Freight is like your store.
There's tons of useful tools you can pick up for a few bucks like $3-4 magnetic trays which cost $9 elsewhere with logos painted on them or oil filter end sockets to $6 9 screwdriver sets to abuse to hell and back. I don't know why you would pay more than $3 for a rubber mallet or $1.50 for a set of socket bits for your drill/electric impact.
Just cranked up my Polaris 600cc(I think) 4 wheeler for its bi-weekly run.
>Started off smokey
Going to go run it so see how it is once it warms up
>Get started off everything is ok
>Half way threw It stops smoking is at normal Operating Temp
>WFO TIME
>Gets back at the house mom is pissed because I was doing 600 mph down our small county road.
Ooops I forgot that the 4 wheeler has a straight exhaust.
R.I.P Neighbors Ear's.
Brought my car to a shop since I give up.
Started fine this morning, started fine at work, then wouldn't start after that. Bought a new battery which didn't help, so some guys helped me push it to get it started and I drove it to the shop. I'm almost positive it is the starter motor but I already pulled it out and had it tested and was apparently in working condition.
Is anyone else here going to the Formula 1 race this weekend? I'm leaving for Austin tomorrow night, and am pumped! I'm gonna try and take some pics but... i don't know how easy that will be.
So me and my mom are going to buy my dad a toolchest for christmas. The only requirments being
- Ball-bearing (My dad always looks at the ball-bearing ones in the stores, and talks about how much he likes it)
-Two piece. With a main set of drawers on the bottom, and a small removable piece on the top with 2-3 smaller drawers?
-Under $600(ish)
We are open to about any company, other than harbor freight stuff. I get 50% off through Snap-on, and would like to use them, even if I have to go over budget a tad
I've done some looking, but all I can find is Craftsmen stuff, which I am not a huge fan of, I've broken every thing I've ever owned Craftsmen and Kobalt. I just have a slight-dislike. I can be swayed on that though, if enough valid points are brought up?

Anyone know good ways to piss off tailgaters without brake checking them? I swear if another jeep faggot tailgates me they're gonna end up rear ending me
Anyone know good ways to piss off tailgaters without brake checking them? I swear if another jeep faggot tailgates me they're gonna end up rear ending me
set up high beams for your brake lights
Only way I solve tailgaters is just to move over, seriously they are trying to get around you or just being a dick...
If you got some were to be and a caravan is blocking the road wouldn't you want the caravan to move?
Some of my friends suggested the following:
Air Raid Siren
Train Horn
Strobe Lights
Bright Lights

Only one solution, get rid of them

Going to put aftermarket headers on the accord then go from single to dual exhaust. Body and paint all fucked up but vroom vroom
Also today we had some bimbo come in with a two-door 2010 Nissan Altima to get her oil changed. I started checking her tire pressure when I noticed something odd. All of her tires were set at 96 psi even though the max pressure on the tires was 50 and the recommended pressure is 35
i why'd with the power of a thousand suns
What was taht popping noise? Who cares! it wasnt my tires!
