next thing you know you'll start drinking like a lunatic and telling people to bite your shiny metal ass
Don't know if any of you remember me but I came in this thread about a week ago asking for advice on buying an Audi A4 2002 as my first car. Now I've been looking around and I'm really liking the look of the 2005 Audi A4 model, So I've upped by budget to aprox 10000usd. Now I've stumbled upon this 2005 Audi A4 with only 110.000km's on it. It costs around 9k which is amazingly cheap for it's price, I'm gonna go over to the owner in some time to check the car and I'll be bringing a friend who happens to own a garage so he can check for me if the car is alright. Now this would be my first car and I know jack shit about maintaining cars in general and I was wondering what my options would be in regard to giving it some more hp as it right now has 130. Oh and are there by any chance some Audi owners here that could give me some tips on what to look out for when looking for a car?
i actually have a 2005 A4, pre face-lift though it's inherently a tad expensive to maintain, what with it being an Audi and all
i actually have a 2005 A4, pre face-lift though it's inherently a tad expensive to maintain, what with it being an Audi and all
Oh nice, The pre-facelift version, Would it be a total no go to buy one with more then 200k km's on it?
i've got 169k on mine and i just recently had to fix a coolant leak, and my oil pan is getting hella sweaty i've seen the undersides of a lot of audis, the older ones are almost always sweaty or a tiny leaky.. as much as i love my audi (quattro is unbelievably amazing for winter driving), i really wouldn't recommend one as your first car someone else on here drives an audi too, wait for his opinion too
Posting here for page 58 were Audi owners get together. 130 hp? waaat
diesel maybe i think the 1.8T is like 170 brake, no? [editline]17th November 2012[/editline] ACCORDING TO MY WIKIPEDIA SKILLS
Welp the best thing I can say is make sure to check it out thoroughly. Any single kind of thing can rape you with cost's to fix it. Also would not hurt to have a VAG-Com cable with you to check the OBD.
wait DP was that you that drove an audi wagon?
[sp]Wat me driving a station wagon? Yea right! I would never be caught driving those![/sp] Yes... that was me. Currently for sale to see if anyone would want it. Valon has been telling me to shorten my craigslist ad because I'm too honest...
damnit, i'm so jelly i want an audi #swagon really badly for some reason
With how much it needs you can just state the obvious stuff and let them find out the other problems, thats just me though because personally I wouldnt touch the car with a 50 foot pole with how nuch it needs for the price.

[editline] fdfg [/editline] I would change my ad if craigslist would send me the damn confirm email. :suicide:
Fuck yeah this is sweet http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/3407294551.html Too bad it's a ways away and I don't have the money to get it. Meh. [editline]18th November 2012[/editline]
damnit, i'm so jelly i want an audi #swagon really badly for some reason
You have to get a real AWD #swagon [editline]18th November 2012[/editline] Loading up to go pick up ANOTHER Dodge D200 4x4... My dad's bought three of them in the past two days. This one runs on propane! Going to be weird driving it.
Why is he buying all those dodges? Going to make a franken truck or what, wish i had one.
He's a Dodge man. You can never have enough Power Wagons.
Friends dad bought a 1969 Mach 1 351 Has a edelbrock 4bbl carb new in the box, set of hedman headers new in box, and a few other parts. Floors are solid, front frame crossmember is rotted out, ~$300 part IIRC Badass car, don't know what color he's going to paint it, hoping for some kind of red or something. I would of gotten more pics but he and his buddy's were possibly smoking a joint in the background and I figured they didn't want that online. [editline]18th November 2012[/editline] http://s137.beta.photobucket.com/user/C0nK3r_r3d/media/VIDEO0094.mp4.html And some Monte Carlo revs for ya. Some point this fucker needs to call me up during the DAYTIME so we can get pics and vids of it that aren't blurry and dark.
http://s137.beta.photobucket.com/user/C0nK3r_r3d/media/VIDEO0094.mp4.html
"delicious" laughed for like a half hour at that, fuck you
Maybe AA can help me decide. With the day that I become a licensed driver right around the corner, I'm going to eventually need my own ride and stop using my family's soccermom crossover. My top choices are a Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0 I6 and a manual, a Pontiac Firebird with the 5.7 V8 and a manual (preferably 80s, but 90s are cool), or a Monte Carlo SS (preferably an 80s one, but the 2000s one with the supercharged V6 is ok too). Which would be the best choice? These 3 all passed my set requirements, otherwise I wouldn't be considering them any more. Now I'm just gathering opinions, like what would be the most fun to drive? Also which would be the most reliable and have the largest aftermarket?
Find an 80s Monte Carlo with a 350, non-TBI and that would have a fairly large aftermarket I'm pretty sure, although the aftermarket parts might appeal to the donk crowd more because the majority of those cars are 'high and fly' [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] The 4.0 I6 in the Jeep will be bulletproof, and the 70s and 80s firebirds are slugs.
my sis sent me this heh
my dad sent me a photo of his buck he got yesterday... I wish I was hunting. BIG BUCK [t]https://photos-4.dropbox.com/t/0/AABpmmxqSaSgXLM1d5lSHvnd_ztinaHwHzEb3dhDIVxvzA/10/11823009/jpeg/1024x768/2/1353301200/0/2/2012-11-16%2016.45.21.jpg/sWxc6Vxij68gEsH4baRGvgrakPYdpb2Viib4S1SH5eQ[/t] (User was banned for this post ("This isn't car related at all." - BANNED USER))

How are those tarp shed things? I've been thinking of getting a 25x11 or 20x11 to work on shit since my garage is tiny and I don't want to always have to use my neighbor's shop.
Pretty nice, the earth anchors that came with it kept it seated in the ground through 3 pretty bad windy storms. It'd be great for working on small stuff, or if you need a weatherproof shelter to work on a car or smaller truck, but It's awful cold in the winter and hot as hell in the summer. Mine was about 2k I think.
