I want a civic. Specifically, an EP2 with low profile tyres, black rims. Hopefully I'll find a decent one after my current car is sold.

Sorry but I think the ricer community has ruined civics for good.
They consider themselves a community... geez
:'(
Maybe I should've said those stupid ricer fucks ruiend civics for me.
I mean shit, there was a ford escort with dual fart cans, I walked that bitch easy, well, All 3 of us.
That civic though doesn't look too bad, though I bet there will be a cheap fart can on it.
What's a 'ricer'?
Choices, Tommorow just get 4 Goodyear GT tires in the morning and wait till saturday to get headers installed. Or wait to drop car off in afternoon and then take tommorow off get everything done headers and tires
chocessss

Some people say an import car (or its driver), but those people are wrong.
Some people say an import car (or its driver) decked out body kits and flashy paintjobs, but that's only partially right.
IMO it should be used to refer to an individual whose car is covered in rice (or the car itself)-- an acronym for race inspired cosmetic enhancements.
I like that best because it doesn't discriminate between national origins of cars-- and there are plenty of riced out domestic cars, too. Namely impalas and monte carlos on 24" rims with angel eyes and stick-on vents from autozone.

General Discussion V6: R.I.C.E. Edition GOLD
Droped my Aunt off after she had spent the night, after cooking Thanksgiving and all that. My mom asked me to pick something from the store and half way back home from the store, and multiple stop lights later, I turned onto a side street from a turn lane at a stop light. About 50 feet down the street it was still in first gear at 30mph, probably 35-4000 RPM. I pulled over and shifted through a couple gears with the lever, put it in Neutral, park, and reverse. Those all worked, but it wouldnt shift out of first. I started rolling again, through a neighborhood almost at my rev limiter, at 9pm on a friday night. I tried shifting again, I shifted the gear selector to OD and it shifted into second, still not much but better than being stuck in first gear.
Not sure what the hell the issue is, but it is shifting now. However it's holding the gears until almost redline. It's like someone installed a shift kit and didn't tell me. :\

i like coolant in gas form. it smells and tastes like candy, but instead of candy it's poison :(
[editline]25th November 2012[/editline]
I remember the first time i had a taste of coolant. a car i was working on was running hot, and the rad cap was off and some of the antifreeze in gas form had escaped. I'm standing there and I suddenly get a sweet taste in my mouth. I thought, "huh, why do I taste candy-OH GOD ANTIFREEZE IM GONNA DIE"
commence me spitting for ten minutes straight :v:
Under moderate acceleration your shift points
should be close to the following:
1-2…………………15-20 MPH
2-3…………………25-30 MPH
3-4…………………40-45 MPH
Mine shifts at
1-2 25mph
2-3 40mph
haven't driven far or fast enough to get the 3-4 shift yet, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Anyone got that link to that online library posted here somewhere a few weeks ago that had service bulletins and wiring diagrams for like every car, ever? I can't remember if it was posted in this thread, or a different one, but it was here in this section somewhere.
[editline]25th November 2012[/editline]
Never mind it was on the second page.

Yes, I took the pics and made a huge one of them
Is it not a Karmann Ghia? I'll have to take some pictures of the cars at a VW shop down the road. Tons of beetles and Karmann Ghias parked out front. And lots of kit cars running Air cooled motors.

It's uncommon to see any vintage vw here in Germany. I think I've seen more vintage beetles in the states then here.
