That's not mine, and I said I wouldn't do mine up with the front end like that, all I want is the doors.

Be brave enough to do what you want.
So I want to get a new car next year and I need some recommendations. I have a budget of $5500, and I'm looking for something that's fun to drive (can be manual), quick, decent mpg, and parts that aren't hard to find. Oh, and it's gotta look cool :v:

Mercedes 190E perhaps?

Relatively fuel efficient, still pretty modern, 2.3l 4 banger for added fun and pretty neat in size and shape.
im totally not biased.
[editline]edit[/editline]
It is possible to get one at a 5500 dollar budget, but I'm not too sure how big the repair and maintenance bills would be on it. What country do you live in? German parts in America are genuinely pretty expensive.

I'm sorry, when did 19 combined mpg become "relatively fuel efficient" for a 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine?
I must have missed that memo.
And I highly doubt a car weighing around 3500 pounds would be much fun to drive with 160hp (or 130 if you're unlucky enough to have a pre-facelift one).

I know you love the Benz thing and all, and I respect that. But come on, be realistic here Jack.
Mercedes are cool, but I'd rather not feed it all my monies just so it can drive

wait what
I thought the thing did 28.5 mpg, that's what my local websites for cars for sale say. And on the fun factor, it's a race car if you get the Cosworth version, albeit them costing a bit more. There's one currently for sale here at 8500 USD, so not totally out of budget. However, I never thought about the weight. :v:
glitch get a smart car
now thats some fun
I don't think my Golf likes winter.
It was only -15 degrees today and it struggled a lot to start

We have a 1992 190E 2.6 manual and its decent on gas, plenty quick, and generally a lot of fun to drive. You can get them for dirt cheap.
Drove past a fatal accident 10 minutes ago. Never before have I seen so many emergency vehicles. Im talking 3 ambulances (plus their supervisors), the entire PD, State Patrol, MedFlight, and almost the entire FD.
2-car head on. One vehicle landed on its side. 2 are trapped.

That accident.
need to find a long oxygen sensor for my new header. halp
nvm ill just run to advanced auto parts tommorow buy one thats longer
This o2 sensor seems to be the cheapest Honda 4 wire plug o2 sensor that Team-Integra found.

Denso is what Honda uses I think, NTK/NGK is a really good brand too.
The only downside is that they are longer than the specific application Integra o2 sensors, which is good for you lol.

rip jeep grand cherokee
So I was fucking around in the Seattle yesterday and after failing to break into Valve's offices I was driving home on the 405 when I noticed that when I used the wipers my tach would wig out. Curious, I tried it a few more times when I noticed that in the process the green lamp on the dash that says the running lights are on was dimming each time as well. Then I noticed that the illumination on the RF gauge on my CB was dim as hell. Everything was telling me that the power was running low but the regulator/alternator circuit lamp had not come on. I began switching off the stereo and radios in an attempt to fix it but now the tack was pure and simply useless.
She was dying. For some reason the battery was no longer being kept topped up and everything in the car began to shut down over the next ten minutes. First the lights, then the ABS shut down, then I lost all my gauges but my speedometer and I had still yet to pull over because fuck that, I was on the interstate.
Pulled into Lynwood searching desperately for a shop or something and by now I couldn't even keep the car at idle. Minimum 2K engine rev or the thing would sputter. Pulled onto highway 99 and floored it and there was just nothing there and it finally died (and NOW the fault light came on) and I coasted into a parking lot.
None of the surrounding shops had an alternator and none could install it before closing late on a Saturday afternoon so I ended up having to walk to a hotel and spend the night.
Ended up having my dad drive seven hours and across the border with a new alternator/voltage regulator and some tools. Took about 45 minutes to swap.

Gave the car a jump and everything sprung back to life.
