Its been half a year. I thought he was dead or something.
He occasionally tripfags on /v/ when there's a thread about him.
The Artorias fight is pretty great. [sp] I was taken off-guard when he choked at the end - he was doing really well up until that point.[/sp]
I had no idea Siegmeyer had a continuation to his story after Izalith. The first time he died when I tried to help him and the second time I ran away from the chaos eaters so that he could regain his knightly honor :v:
They have very different styles. For example if you watch bunnyhop's critical analysis of the MGS games , he tends to focus a lot more on themes and ideas, while Matthew dove deeper in terms of mechanics and game design. You can even see the same thing in this video versus Bunnyhop's Dark Souls video.
I would say that if you like Bunnyhop, you'd likely enjoy Matthew. I know I do anyways.
edit:
Also I want to point out that if this is your first time watching Matthew, I wouldn't recommend this video. His videos are usually more concise, these commentary ones are more lax and I would think are really only meant for ones that are already a fan of him. You know, the ones that would watch a six hour video.
I don't know if I'd say that, I think that Matthewmatosis and SuperBunnyhop lend pretty equal focus to the narrative and mechanical aspects of games. I'd say the difference between them is that Matthewmatosis is more detail-oriented and SuperBunnyhop is more big-picture-oriented.

SBH also focuses a lot on companies and their ideals and motives more than Matt does imo.
I finished watching this last night, broke it up into roughly hour-long sessions over the past day or two. Was overall really enjoyable, I particularly like Matt's videos because he's much more observant than myself. I like to think I notice a lot of things, but he catches a whole lot of stuff I completely overlooked or never thought about. Kind of makes me want to go through and play Dark Souls again just to see it with fresh eyes.
