Deal with it, they're not there to teach just you, they're there to teach everyone which means that just because you spent the last 10 years infront of PC and know it inside and out other people might not.

Become a teacher and tell her she should go into your class and learn the fuck she is teaching.

We do boring shit in IT. It was funny as hell when our IT teacher bent over to help a pupil and reveled a bright purple thong.

We've been learning how to edit things in Microsoft Word. Takes like 15 minutes to do all the day's projects she gives us and then I just play games the rest of the class. She also calls the tower the CPU.

I took IT one year as a bludge and my teacher spent an entire term telling us how "powerful" Powerpoint is.

Yeah this happens alot. It really pisses me off when teachers click the start slide show button instead of pressing F5, and when you tell them about F5 they usually get shitty with you.

Or when a prompt comes up saying with an option saying "do not show this message again" and they don't press it.

I told her that the reason it can be edited is to CORRECT it, and only /b/tards change it to wrong information (She wouldn't know what a /b/tard is anyway), but she refused to accept that fact and gave me a 0 because I used one sentience from wiki. Fucking hell it was worth 300 points, it caused my grade to drop from an A- to a C-. :bang:

My Linux teacher arranged several LAN weekends at the school for the students, he was fucking awesome. I think he lost his job because he was :pirate: ing some stuff at the school Last time I saw him, he was working at his mothers pet shop. :fireman:

I've never met a teacher who would allow it as a source for the fact that it can be edited by anyone (just because only a small minority do decide to put in erroneous information doesn't mean it's a good source).

Back on my degree the only 2 good teachers were the two games teachers (was a computer games development degree but oddly we had pointless classes added on top like "web application and development" thrown in. :|) We had steam on the "games lab" machines (we had our own locked room with much better computers) and as long as a class wasn't on you were allowed to play games with headphones on. Usually resulted in some LAN where one team was one year and one was another year. Was the best degree I could have asked for. :buddy: My high school teachers were absolutely dreadful though.

ITT: children see adults make a mistake and think they are ready to leave school and get a better job than their teacher. Go to the office and announce you will leave school at the next available opportunity. Enjoy the real world.

I'm so happy my programming teacher actually knows what she's doing, but isn't afraid to admit when she doesn't know something and she doesn't get mad when someone corrects her.
