My neck did snap, but it didn't break. The initial snap felt good for some fucked up reason, but once the suffocation set in: not so damn fun.
And the gun shot, for aesthetic reasons. Didn't want my to have 2 huge noticeable holes in it.
One in the back of the neck, and one in the front was a better route at the time. The back would be covered while lying down, and the front could be covered with a suit and tie.
I know, I'm a sick bastard. But when you have a bilateral cluster headache every day for 6 years, you look for any way out.
Did you ever try Vicodin?
Well great OP, now im scared as fuck.
Fixed and quoted for truth.

Doctors around here won't prescribe anything stronger than tylenol unless you're dying of cancer.
I found this short (10 minute) documentary about the subject of Cluster headaches called Clusterheads. Be warned though, it does contain footage of people going through Cluster attacks, and it is a little morbid.

Edit: After watching some more of it, it's sorta...home made-ish. Not as professional as I would have thought.

I wont judge you.

I would have said "forget that" and gone off to find some people with connections. No way would I let a single doctor tell me "No" after all that you have to go through with this.

Get a Physiatrist. Talk about the pain and how you are thinking about killing yourself and ask for something to relieve the pain.
Get a Physiatrist. Talk about the pain and how you are thinking about killing yourself and ask for something to relieve the pain.
eh.... That won't work too well either.
Been there, done that.
Psychiatrist said "Don't be stupid, you know you'd never kill yourself for such a minor condition" and then proceded to prescribe me tylenol. Insult to injury. Needless to say, first visit was my last.
Oh, I must have forgot to say this, but the last one was around 1 1/2 years ago. Hopefully they never come back, the next time I may just buy 10 oxycontin 80mg's off a dealer, and take them all.
Can't handle the USA. Bunch of asshole "doctors" that don't have any compassion. All they're after is money, and repeat visits telling them the med isn't working, so they can prescribe a different named, but pretty much same "medicine", which also won't work. Thus you keep returning, and they keep making more money.
What the fuck happened to doctors that actually care about suffering of other humans?
I wake up with throbbing headaches quite often and I thought they were painful enough, but I guess they're nothing in comparison

Video isn't anything near the attacks I used to get.
At the severity I had, my only option was to close all windows, blinds, etc, cover them with multiple thick blankets, close all doors to the room I was in when it struck, cover the cracks in the doors to muffle sound and light, turn all lights off, all electronics off, unplug them, and curl up into "fetal" position for 6-10 hours until the pain started going away.
It was pretty graphic, nothing I would wish on my worst enemy, EVER.
Just a notification, going to lay down for a half hour or so. Need a little rest time, I've been up for 2 days now. Not related to the headaches. I just stay awake a lot longer than other people. Come to think of it, it may be a result of the headaches.
Ah I remember reading about these awhile ago.
I had cluster headaches for a few years but last year they just stopped without me noticing.
Psilocybin aka Magic Mushrooms help, seriously.
I would have threatened the doc and told him if I didn't get my pills I would kill him before I killed myself.
I'm not trying to be a dick, nor am I calling anyone a liar
But am I the only one who's finding it hard to believe that we just so happen to have two facepunchers who suffer from this condition, which only 0.1% of the human population suffer from? (OP I can believe - he did make the thread afterall)

They probably just had migraines.
They probably just had migraines.
If migraines make you want to pluck your eyes out to get the pain to stop then yes, I had a migraine.
[editline]11:02AM[/editline]
The typical migraine headache is unilateral (affecting one half of the head) and pulsating, lasting from 4 to 72 hours;[2] symptoms include nausea, vomiting, photophobia (increased sensitivity to light), and phonophobia (increased sensitivity to sound).[4][5][6] Approximately one-third of people who suffer from migraine headaches perceive an aura—unusual visual, olfactory, or other sensory experiences that are a sign that the migraine will soon occur.[7]
Does not apply to the type of pain this (Cluster Headaches) cause. Some parts do but the description of the type of pain is wrong.

Don't be an idiot all your life.
I noted in another thread that I used to get cluster headaches, and the OP noted he did too in that thread, and after a few minutes of chatting, he PM'ed me that he would be making this thread. And here it is.
Quote from original thread:
Kab2Tract - I do construction site clean ups for houses my Dad is the contractor/finisher for. I get $10/hr and get a minimum of 2 hours each visit. That means I get $20 even if I was there for 1 hour.
Also, I do wood staining for $15/hour because that is pretty painstakingly long work, and very toxic smelling. Oil Based Paints/Stain = Headaches ahoy!

ME - Those headaches are nothing compared to the headaches I used to get every day for almost 6 years non stop. Cluster Headaches are the worst pain you can ever endure in your life.

Kab2Tract - Wow, another coincidence with me. Although I didn't have cluster headaches for that long of time, I have had them. My Dad has had them for a long time as well. Having those, as you would agree, is definitely one of the worst experiences a human being can go through. Especially if they are chronic, or last years. So, do you still get them or did it end? Or is there some kind of treatment?
When I had a migraine for like 5 hours I felt like crap too.

No, a 5 hour migraine is not the same. You are just trying to get a rise out of people now.

Did you ever try smoking/consuming cannabis?
I had a friend that used to have them, he basically had 1 grams worth in the morning and a spliff in case one crept up.
Although i don't know if it was cluster headaches, but he'd writhe in pain really bad when he had one.
Yeah, when I had my first one, I started bashing my head against the wall and took was it 3 or 4 Ultra Tylenol Migraine relief or whatever. It lasted about 30 minutes until I practically passed out and it died down.
You don't get these, lol
They're one of the rarest conditions in the world, there's only like 3 people in central Europe with it.
Scared now :v:

How am I being an idiot?
There's no need to be so hostile towards me; I said I wasn't intending to offend anyone.
I just find it hard to believe that we have so many people suffering from this condition, when only 0.1% of the human population suffer from it.
There's like 4 people who've said they have it in the thread so far, so I'm sorry if I'm a little sceptical.

Yes, cannabis did help, but I can no longer use it due to my job requirements.
66,972,540 in the world have this roughly and 1,722 people on FP have this. Fuck off about the odds.

Well, the original conversation is in the "Facepunch: A working Class?" thread. Page 2 I believe.
Check the date and time and you'll see I brought it up, he agreed, and he then made the thread.
And I'd have no reason to lie about this. I don't have anything to gain here.
Just check that thread please. Life's too short to argue.

Yeah, he's just trolling now.
There's no way you can be that naive without trying.
