Well, the original conversation is in the "Facepunch: A working Class?" thread. Page 2 I believe.
Check the date and time and you'll see I brought it up, he agreed, and he then made the thread.
And I'd have no reason to lie about this. I don't have anything to gain here.
Just check that thread please. Life's too short to argue.
I'm not arguing. Nor am I calling you a liar. I said that before.
Yeah, he's just trolling now.
There's no way you can be that naive without trying.
Pretty much. Anyway, good to hear you no longer get these.
66,972,540 in the world have this roughly and 1,722 people on FP have this. Fuck off about the odds.
[editline]11:15AM[/editline]
oh .1%? Then I have to recalculate. I was using .01
[editline]11:16AM[/editline]
World:669,725,404
FP:17,219
There's 6.7 billion people on the planet, how in the world are you getting that 670 million have the condition with .1 percent?
I had cluster headaches for a few years but last year they just stopped without me noticing.
Judging off how the OP describes these cluster headaches I find this very hard to believe. How would you be having headaches which are mroe painful than childbirth and lead some people to commit suicide and then they go away without you noticing them stopping?
Also I am very suprised that there have been about 4 people in this thread claiming they have had it or know soemone who has it, especially considering it only affects 400 people in England which has a population of 50 000 000 people. I think many of you are confusing it with recurring migraines, but it may jsut be that all of you do have them. Although I do believe what superstormj is experiencing are legitemate cluster headaches.
By the way, if you got these, you probably WOULD have killed yourself by now. It's apparently the worst pain on the planet 5+ times per day every day.
And they don't stop.
(you don't have these)
(trust me)
Pretty much. Anyway, good to hear you no longer get these.
Well, statistically, they should be back in another year or two.
If that happens, even though my state has medical MMJ, I'll be moving to a state with broader lists of conditions eligible. This state doesn't cut it.
I took the user count and divided it by .1. Dont be a fucking idiot.
Sorry, I thought you were doing the maths correctly.
It's 0.1% of the world's population, dumbass. Dividing the usercount of facepunch by .1 and saying that's how many people suffer from it is completely incorrect.
I could have 1000 people in a room, and by your maths, that must mean that one of them, statistically, suffers from cluster headaches.

No. 100 of them would have it.
[editline]11:26AM[/editline]
You fail at basic math.
You don't divide by .1, you multiply by .1.
Are you still in elementary school? Look at it like this: 1 hundredth of 6.7 billion.
670 million is a tenth of 6.7 billion, not a hundredth.

Thank you. My Windows 7 Calculator is malfunctioning for some fucked up reason.
Figures, computers were created for the sole purpose of calculations, and now they can do everything but.
Oops, you did divide. You're supposed to multiply by .1
Scary shit.

I fail at basic maths? Really?
Because 0.1% of 1000 is 1. Not 100.
Oh lol. He was dividing by the decimal, rather than multiplying.
Someone's retarded.
That image I failed but its still 669 725 404

No, you probably just changed some setting thinking you were smart.
That image I failed but its still 669 725 404
No, it isn't. Go read my post.
When I had a migraine for like 5 hours I felt like crap too.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
I fail at basic maths? Really?

You are retarded. 100x.10 is 1. 1000x.1 is 100. one tenth of 10 is one so add two zeros and Guess what? its 100/1000 instead of 1/10
I get these. lucky me.
I get some kind of headache everyday, if not every other day. Weed helps for the minor ones though.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
It seems as if there's a lot of people in this thread who don't.
No, you probably just changed some setting thinking you were smart.
Don't start.
I can do this shit in my head, but the computer's calculator was more feasible at the time, thus I tried to use it, but it's bugged for some reason.
You are retarded. 100x.10 is 1. 1000x.1 is 100. one tenth of 10 is one so add two zeros and Guess what? its 100/1000 instead of 1/10
I'm almost positive you're trolling, nobody can be this inept at math.

Oh my god, you really can't be this stupid.
0.1% of 100, is 0.1. It's per CENT. Per ONE HUNDRED.
Any percentage of one hundred is the number itself. What are you, 5?
No, it isn't. Go read my post.
:D
You guys really can't be this argumentative at 8:00 fucking AM, jesus christ.
Let the math go, and talk about the subject at hand.
Nohj: PM.
.1 is 10% not 1%
Yes, but 0.1% of 100 is 0.1.
Seriously, just leave. You're just embarrassing yourself now.
I'm tired of explaining this to you, Nohj. All I can say is that you need math lessons.
I can't imagine how horrible this must be.
The closest I've had was a terrible migraine, but I can always get ready for it, the warning comes in the form of scintillating scotoma. That's pretty scary, if you don't know what it is. Basically you get a blind spot in the middle of your vision, which enlarges, and moves toward to side. It passes after 20-60 minutes thankfully.
You did it wrong, you dont mutliply the population by .1 to get 0.1 percent because 1 = 100%, not 100 = 100%. Therefore you should multiply by 0.001 to get the correct percentage out of 1. Anyway, as I said earlier i highly doubt the numbers are as high as 0.1% as only 400 people in Britain experience these.
Edit: I think it should be 6 697 254 041 x 0.001 = 6 697 254
Edit: Since there are 29 529 active members on facepunch, the percentage of people on facepunch who according to the statistics should have experienced cluster headaches comes out to 29 529 x 0.001 = 29
