Has the "chillness" about DD just become a gimmick recently? - General

it doesn't really matter which one's the most chill really. this board lost a bit of it's charm. i dont understand why people feel the need to be mean. I'm not saying that we should all be at peace with everything and never get mad. Some times there is a need for violence. But I don't think that this is the place for such. We're all here to have a good time man. You have to understand what's truly important in life. Getting angry at things like these is pointless. Love above all.

When I first came here this place was pretty chill and shit. I've noticed there is a group of people who are your typical ass hole internet forum goers who are all politically correct and must enforce hatred towards people who slip out a few loose words. But they're like their own kind of internet ass hole who smokes all the time and thinks everyone else barely knows shit or something like that. (asshole stoners?) I know there's other drugs/users of those other drugs that come by here but you know, it would be all cool and shit if people were more chilled and accepting of newer folk. I mean, when I'm stoned as fuck my posts usually have no strict touch to them and flow freely, you know? Hell I dunno what I'm trying to say. Smoke weed and be chill I guess. lol

the only time i feel the 'chillness' is a gimmick is when someone makes a stupid thread and they get a negative response they are like "cmon man i thought you guys are chill". We are, its just that when you lurk and shit, not even showing your face in addicts lounge or any other thread, and you make a dumbass thread, you come off as stupid. I dont understand why people lurk either. I invite everyone to at least post in addicts lounge a little bit to introduce yourself. Then after we warm up to you maybe we will be ok with their occational shit thread. I understand that we arent supposed to "care" about shit threads, but theres a limit. For example, "im so high threads", it is what it is, it will die quickly and the guy is PUI, give him a break. Have fun with it. But when you bring in here "Racism/Profiling" its like wtf? do you want us to argue? I come in here to relax, not get into a fucking debate over racism or some shit. I just think the excuse of "chill" when you get a negative response is silly, its like pulling out a card, "you cant argue because youre supposed to be chill". Fuck that. all in all, if you dont feel comfortable and lurk, please come to addicts lounge or drug discussion first, in there i promise we dont bite.

I have to agree with the captain, most of the time I see the word unchill tossed around, its because someone was being stupid and they can't handle being told they were being stupid. Maybe they should chill, you really shouldn't be getting so worked up over someone thinking you did something stupid.

You don't have to be worked up about stupid shit someone else does either. It's not really hurting you, if you don't like it just look away. This sub forum is about durgs(lol). There's high people posting all over the place. Stupid threads are bound to happen. There's no need to get all worked up about these things. Insulting someone just sends bad vibes, not only to the thread/post creator, but also to the people that are reading the conversation. dont like it dont eat it

So basically the old saying "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" come to effect. There isnt that much hostility as you think there is. To start off, the addicts lounge, drug discussion and other informational threads are [I]chill[/I] (im getting sick of this word), and they have the most activity compared to other threads. We've even got a few new threads that are going along nicely like "Favorite Liquors and Drinks" and "What has DD done for you?". An important thread i would like to point out as doing good is "Bout to do shrooms, what should i expect." Now that thread is special because it violates the Drug Discussion thread since you are supposed to go in there for a question like that. However, we will provided advice on the subject and it has got some people talking about their shroom experiences. No hostility. Now, the two threads that im sure caused all the calamity of "omg DD is no longer chill" is Racism/Profiling, How do i find dealer, how do i get money for weed, and edit the pic while blitzed. Racism/Profiling is my personal favorite of being the dumbest thread that just straight up doesnt belong. I understand what FreeHugs was getting at, but you are bringing a very sensitive subject into a forum. Now i know DD is usually pretty good with stuff like religion and philosophy but this just asked for trouble. It just didnt belong. How to find a dealer is the op's fault since he is utterly useless. We did all we can to give him advice on to how to find a dealer and make friends, yet he continued his bs point of that he lives in a small town where apparently "nothing works like that around here". If thats the case, then close the thread because you are utterly helpless. How do i get money for weed was a disaster waiting to happen. How else do you think you get money for drugs, you have to fucking earn it, dont just mooch of family and friends, it makes us look bad and supports the stereotype that we waste all our money on drugs and cant support ourselves of our out of control habit. If you are too young to work, you are too young to smoke. And finally, the only case that i believe makes sense is "edit this pic while blitzed". I know why people were so against it but it went a little to far. You cant force art, and the original idea from StormChanger and Cypher_09 means that it shouldve been started by one of them, not some guy that to be honest, never seen him post before in the forum, maybe i just missed you or something, but he didnt look familiar. Anyway, this thread shouldve just been left alone and left for dead instead of just continually yelling at the op. One post is good enough, no need to have everyone yell at him. Only the sudden burst of negative threads have made this seem like a huge issue, when in reality, it was just a few bad threads. DD is still chill to me, not as much as it used to be but it's still a cool place to go.
