Some people for some reason need validation from reviewers to justify their love/hatred for a certain game. Personally I really REALLY like this game, despite it's fair share of issues. I think Massive at least is gonna be a bit more proactive in the upkeep of this game and with more free content coming out over the next two months it could probably shape up to be a good game to come back to and play with friends over the months.
I knew people would call it repetitive from the getgo.
It's basically a mmo, and those are very repetitive, no matter what.
Still, the idea is nice, and imo, Ubisoft COULD have something going on here, if they do the right stuff.
Or maybe I'm late and they are already doing/announcing it.
I am starting to get the feel that all of these modern games (especially by big companies) are following the same sheme. Buggy as fuck, usually low on content, overhyped and always overpriced with a bunch of dlcs and/or a season pass.
Especially this case makes me think back to the time where you could just buy a Tom Clancy game without worrying because you knew they had some effort and depth put into it (The old Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon & Splinter Cell titles for example).
Not to excuse them, but I guess the problem here stems from deadlines and possible complexity of the whole thing.
although, the low content part smells like its the evil scheme of future DLC, like always
Sucks that this wasn't as great as made out to be. I really like Tom Clancy's work, and to see his name in most of the games he's never truly helped with is kind of irritating. Bullet sponges should NOT be used with human opponents/bosses unless they're wizards, or armor protection all around.
yeah, i cant really remember a normal human or humanoid monster that took more than 5-6 slashes
whereas in the division there are heavy units on challenging that take upwords of 1000~ headshots combined over 4 players to murder
Like shit, I remember being able to 1 hit equal level dudes in TW3 if I lined up a perfect overhead charge attack thingo
If you're the type of person upset about shooting a guy in a hoodie 30 times but not hitting a peasant with a sword 30 times in The Witcher 3, this isn't the game for you.
I would be upset in both cases, shooting a guy in a hoodie 30 times, and hitting a peasant/equivalent with a sword 30 times. Apparently neither game is for me.
Also speaking about Angry Joe, I think his reviews progress really nicely. He strips the subject games down to pieces, and then discusses them thoroughly, with also humor in the mix, giving each game a complete and honest-to-heart review.

Well awww, does it now?
Seriously though I agree. Enemies soaking up too much damage just looks unattractive, and doesn't really work in games that involve guns or swords -- Or anything with enough kinetic energy to completely destroy whatever you hit or shoot it with.
So yeah, you either need to be a wizard to stop it, or a suit of armor with a protection so powerful no ordinary man could wear it.
My favorite thing is that some bugs that are shown in videos of the release version of the game were there when I playtested this back in May last year. :v:
