I don't get why everyone goes so apeshit over these self-made TF2 videos. They aren't all that great, but maybe I'm just missing the picture. Are they exceedingly difficult to make or what?
Most people do think that they are that great.
That many people? Damm. Oh okay.
About three hundred. Valve's approach to credits is to just list everyone in the company, alphabetically. So I tried to follow that.
thanks royzo now im watching casino royale
Are the janitors and stuff in the list? Especially the one lady who cooks for all of them in their little food court thing? is she in there?
Ha! Yeah I've always wondered that. I wouldn't be surprised if there were, and they could be right underneath Gabe Newell's name. I like their attitude though. Even the janitors helped make Team Fortress 2, in a way.
You forgot Yanis Varoufakis! :v:
You forgot Yanis Varoufakis! :v:
Oh yeah, the new economist! He wasn't in the credits files I used, and I used the Counter-Strike:Global Offensive one, which should be the newest. I'll put him in the description.
He's not calling you a dummy because you didn't like the video, he's calling you a dummy for not realising that the credits were the entire point of the video.
That was the entire point of the video? Nothing but running around, shooting each other and slow-motion shots and taunts. Sorry, but it wasn't that great. Sure, I got a laugh from the knife gun, that was pretty funny. But the rest was meh.

Literally half of that was credits. Good job, though.
Another fav added the list. Hope you're planning to keep using SFM because I love your stuff.
To everyone going on about it only being credits Have you ever seen a James Bond film?
Its also a parody of this:
Oh cool. Never seen that movie but it was a cool parody in that case :v:
Oh cool. Never seen that movie but it was a cool parody in that case :v:
James Bond films always have cool intro's. Anyway, you should check it out. The movie is called Casino Royale. I really enjoyed it, maybe you will too.

That was really awesome, well done! Also, it's saddening that people don't recognise the effort and talent that went into something like this. And it's just plain funny when they complain about the video being mostly credits; despite the fact that the credits are the entire point of the video. :v:
holy fuck i did not see that coming whats your address if you live in the uk im going to make a medal with crayons and fucking send it to you oh my god
Literally half of that was credits. Good job, though.
How do people like you miss the entire point of the video?
Absolutely goose bump inducing. Mister Royzo I cant wait to see what you have in store for the future.
That was beautiful.
the video is a copy of the casino royale intro and a tribute to Valve, not a fucking episode of Gmod Idiot Box or some shit
Yeah, they explained it because I hadn't seen the movie. At first I thought it was gonna be a collaboration of all the "Meet the..." videos into one giant awesome-fest.
James Bond films always have cool intro's. Why is Chandler Murch - Gabe Newell?
Fucking win mr royzo :D
Now do From Russia with Love wit Heavy and Medic. [sp]seriously though, that was pretty damned incredible. Was it all done in SFM or was there post production?[/sp]
Great job, I am positive if you keep on honing your skills you will be one of the best SFM people out there, I hope to be as well and I am really practicing hard on everything.
Royzo, you've shown in the past week that you are a comedic and cinematic master.
Why is Chandler Murch - Gabe Newell?
Ah, you see, I didn't include a hyphen for just such a misunderstanding. Most 'fancy' credits include only the cast and most important crew members like the director and the producer, and the rest is done in a 'conventional' (read: cheap) credit roll. This, however, tries to include all 300+ names in the 'fancy' credits. That's why there's two columns of names, to get everyone in. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline] Also, the end of the credits are more visually engaging, so I didn't want too much names cluttering up the screen, so I made sure to get most names in the beginning, where I had slower, longer shots that are visually more simplistic. That's why there's more names in the beginning than in the end. Bonus trivia.
