-snip- [editline]08:35PM[/editline]
I tried to connect through FileZilla to the FTP, but I got the Critical Error. And now when I try to connect to the website I get "This Account Has Been Suspended". While trying to connect to FTP I inserted: Host: ftp.jaggerestep.info User: MuffinMania@jaggerestep.info Port: 21 And password of course. Any help on this?
yeah I'm getting that error too :C
Must be your host. What a shame. Knew it wouldn't last. Protip to OP: setup your OWN server, use your OWN code, and don't be so cocky.
Don't worry. I'll get it unsuspended. The owner told me it's okay for me to do, so it must have been a misunderstanding.
Don't worry. I'll get it unsuspended. The owner told me it's okay for me to do, so it must have been a misunderstanding.
Oh thank god :buddy: [editline]08:59PM[/editline] do I have to reupload the files again if you get it unsuspended?
no idea, i'll see
ok [editline]08:59PM[/editline] is the site back up now?when will the site be back up?
oh fuck we're down
Wow. Your nice for taking another go at this, even though the person took it down before.
Dude mah account is suspended :saddowns:
The domain "jaggerestep.info" has been found to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions. There are several gigabytes of illegal data within the account due to the file sharing service. At this time, this hosting account is permanently suspended pending termination. We will gladly provide a backup of the account MINUS the ftps directory containing the data of which is in violation of copyright laws. If i get my hosting back, I will not continue to provide FTP. Lock this thread. If I don't get my hosting back, I'm out $25.
And thus ends that saga.
Fuck sake FP
I wish they would have informed me that there was illegal stuff, i would have deleted the offender's FTP.
I only uploaded legal stuff(like linux stuff and installers of programs like ubcd4win) and a couple of mp3 files(3-6 I think ) and a bunch of videos I downloaded from youtube
i saw that i think.. i think that would be considered illegal, the mp3s.
I just had my back ups for my portfolio :saddowns:
i saw that i think.. i think that would be considered illegal, the mp3s.
oh well......I can always put them somewhere else :P [editline]10:24PM[/editline] oh what about .rar or .zip files? can I use them to store the mp3s for when I upload?
if it's illegal, it wasn't allowed to be there at all. I'm going to wait for the owner to get on so i can plead for my account.
And thus ends another free service that Facepunch has destroyed.

Gah. Why everything always gets ruined?
Sorry OP, if I was part of the problem. :(
I wish they would have informed me that there was illegal stuff, i would have deleted the offender's FTP.
... That's not their responsibility, that's your responsibility.
All good things have to come to an end.
Those free unlimited storage / hosting sites will always shut down within the first month, so it's not even worth it because you'll have to go through the hastle of finding another storage company. If you lose the original files on your computer and the storage site shuts down, then you're screwed. I'll stick to my paid GoDaddy hosting.
