The voice acting ticks me off for some reason. None of the orcs really had that bassy warrior tone you'd expect from a Warcraft 1-2 lore movie. Too human would be putting it lightly. They all sounded like lamer versions of Thrall, which already has a pretty fucking lame voice actor to begin with. Everything else was great though, pretty happy the famed Warcraft movie will not suck.
Hopefully if this movie becomes a success, i would enjoy watching a Star Craft movie like this.
Jesus the youtube uploads are getting picked off quick. Someone reupload it as unlisted tia

did someone say mega.co.nz i am sure someone said mega.co.nz https://mega.co.nz/#!EdoCWbxa!CjWtfs5aHqQRAWjRU6ZroFKYOI1LaPMAkTVEgMLHlmM
I know it's bad footage but the CGI looked better in motion than the few still shots I've seen. I really had no hopes for this movie, but now I'm pretty excited.
shiiii- sorry postal. My bad. Feel free to ban me for my sins. Please don't.
[editline]t[/editline] What the fuck I can't even upload it?
you'd have to flip it. they've got it set to that content aware filtering.
Anyone hear that stupid douche in the audience "Lol i'm already not interested its a stupid computer one like avatar" hurr durr...
As someone who's only played WoW for a month or two (aka completely ignorant of the lore) this really did not look appealing at all. Bland fantasy movie. Doesn't help the Orcs are all civilized and stuff. That scene where he talks with his wife about naming their kid was cliche and made awkward by the fact that they're fucking Orcs.
Space goats get no sympathy from me.
Spoken like a true Garrosh :v: Also I think the relationship between Durotan and his wife is going to be fucking adorable.

Also that "kid" is [sp]Thrall, the character Blizzard creams themselves over creating.[/sp] [editline]15th July 2015[/editline] Also this is hands down one of the best looking CG I've seen ever. Even if folks don't care for the story, EVERYONE will agree that this is the pinnacle of modern CGI technology, and talent.
^Generally movies have been "appealing to a wider audience" for a long time. Even then I'm sure there's plenty of people who play WoW a ton but don't know the warcraft lore, so it won't even appeal to all WoW fans. Anyways betting that guy who "said it looked like avatar" and that he was a bored is in a similar boat. Niche audience for this movie, for their sakes I hope the budget isn't too big.

This is literally where Warcraft starts, whose not to say it couldn't introduce folks to the lore? This is a beautiful looking cg trailer I've seen this decade and you don't like it because of the silly reasons you're posting.

Pretty much every superhero movie from the last 15 years would disagree.
As someone who's only played WoW for a month or two (aka completely ignorant of the lore)... ... It really puts the huge scale into perspective when you're used to Azeroth being so tiny in game form.
It really puts the huge scale into perspective when you're used to Azeroth being so tiny in game form.
Yes, absolutely love the massive scale of this. My lore stops at WC3 considering I was never really able to get into WoW, but I can't wait to see this. Wonder if they'll do a human teaser as well?

Well those videos got taken down quick
Well those videos got taken down quick
When will companies realize that once it hits the internet it's never going away, best to do what Warner Bros. did and release the trailer like it should be seen, since it will be seen either way
Yes, absolutely love the massive scale of this. Wonder if they'll do a human teaser as well?
There is, from what I've heard, a couple of more minutes of footage shown at SDCC which shows humans and some fighting between humans and orcs.
You think if this get's sequels it'll be either Warcraft II, or just combine the lore of Warcraft I and II, and just have the sequel be based on Warcraft III.
You think if this get's sequels it'll be either Warcraft II, or just combine the lore of Warcraft I and II, and just have the sequel be based on Warcraft III.
Sequels will probably be Tides of Darkness and then Beyond the Dark Portal. There's too much stuff going on to merge any of them. Who knows this one might bomb and they won't do any sequels.
I'm not into warcraft at all but that looked pretty damn cool I thought the movie was live action though?
I'm not into warcraft at all but that looked pretty damn cool I thought the movie was live action though?
It's both. Orcs are cg and humans are live action.

It seems that the only fantasy films lately we have gotten is Hobbit. Warcraft seems to be a basic fantasy film with orcs and humans, and it looks fantastic. People don't really need the lore to know when a good movie is a brewing.
It looks like they're focusing on human vs orcs and keeping the weirder stuff to a minimum which is honestly the best way to do it in terms of making a film.
this movie is based off the novel Chris Metzen wrote called The Last Guardian I personally loved the story and it really is great, hopefully the movie sticks true enough to the book [editline]17th July 2015[/editline] its important to note that the orcs in warcraft are pretty much nothing like the orcs in any other fantasy story when it comes to character
