Wow thanks jeez I didn't think that'd be a book spoiler
what else could it have possibly been spoiling?
Orlando Bloom more like Orlando CGI amiright
Hmm Sherlock wanting to kill Watson will sure be a fun thing to watch.
shiiit benedict you scary
nice VFX reel
i love the fact that they are highlighting the descent from "lighthearted child fantasy novel about courage" to "the dark lord has risen and hope is fading" by juxtaposing the enemies specifically in the first part of the hobbit, the orcs (or goblins of the mountain per se) were more silly, more fantastical, as they were depicted in the novel; they highlighted that by making hobbit part 1 orcs/goblins using CG and being very fluid and colorful now as the world falls back into the "despair" of the lotr series, they seem to be portraying the orcs/goblins as darker and brooding as they were in the three lotr novels by having real human actors in prosthetic costumes that alone makes me love the mood shift from hobbit 1 to 3 that we'll be seeing
My head was rumbling when Smaug spoke. And I was only wearing headphones...
This does look really good. Smaug is epic with that voice.
benedict cumberbatch continues to have the greatest voice of all time in every situation
Hobbit is my favourite Tolkien work apart from Smaug dying to a single fucking arrow from what's almost a side character. I think they're changing it for the movie though aren't they? I hope they do. A dragon shouldn't die to one freaking arrow.
yeah and one guy with one ring shouldn't change history... twice. Epic Fantasy happens.
benedict cumberbatch continues to have the greatest voice of all time in every situation
until they somehow include Eru Ilúvatar the Creator in a LotR film and he's voiced by Morgan Freeman
yeah and one guy with one ring shouldn't change history... twice. Epic Fantasy happens.
The one ring is one of the most powerful magical artifacts in the history of middle earth. Bard is a guy with a bad attitude and a longbow. He's cool and I get that but one fucking arrow is a complete anticlimax for the last dragon's death.
He's cool and I get that but one fucking arrow is a complete anticlimax for the last dragon's death.
well they could make it a bit better with a good sound effect however if there's just a quick "thwip" it's going to suck
I find it weird the Cumberbatch is doing both Smaug and Sauron. Like, he's a good choice for either, but both?
When he says "Don't be shy" I keep thinking of the Cheeky Girls.
Smaugs voice reminded me a lot of the Lich in Adventure Time
Orlando Bloom more like Orlando CGI amiright
It's 2013 can't they spend the extra few hours to render Orlando HDR instead
And the plot tiwst is that when they defeat Smaug, super Ornstein appears.
The first one, while disappointing, was still really, really fun to me. This looks miles better. All aboard the hype train.
I was blown away by the first one, it completely shattered my expectations, unbelievably excited about this.
It's weird how they mostly keep Smaug in the shadows in this, yet the first trailer completely shows his face.
It bugs me that Bilbo isn't invisible during the parts where he's supposed to be invisible. Also the whole Elven-King helping the 13 thing.
Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite movie, dude. My expectations were way too high, and I knew that going into it. Looks like the Hobbit trilogy is only going to get better and better. I love it.
I thought An Unexpected Journey was a better movie than Fellowship. Not that I didn't like Fellowship.
benedict cumberbatch continues to have the greatest voice of all time in every situation
Bendydick cucumberpatch does have a nice voice, but I think Ian McKellen's voice is just too good.
Orcs in Tolkiens setting are generally weak and just work in horde/rush like a zerg. Dwarves can easily fight outnumbered while Elves are the perfect warrior. Dwarves fighting outnumbered is pretty common place due to their low birth rates. [editline]1st October 2013[/editline] [sp]Fili, Kili also die[/sp]
[sp]Unless your Bashki, then Bombur dies, too.[/sp]
I've never been a huge fan of any of the lord of the rings movies I'm not saying they're bad, they just never appealed to me. Will probably go see this in the cinema like I did with the last one, that one was alright and I felt like it was worth the money. I hope this is as good as the last one or even better!
