I remember when this was good... 7000-fucking-years ago
Their biggest ideas now are bringing back Hey Arnold! and As Told By Ginger. Because As Told By Ginger is totally one of the more recognizable cartoons of Nick's past.
As Told By Ginger isn't being brought back.
I'm p sure the CEO doesn't give a shit about kids because they probably think kids are fucking idiots and will enjoy whatever garbage show is thrown at them.
Immediately sensing the Enter-bot drivel from you in particular. Still doesn't change the fact that Nick has jumped the shark and how Mister Sandman put it, turned all their shows into hot garbage.

Though i doubt Nickelodeon will ever be good again seeing as how it's continuing to throw out terrible show after terrible show.
It's crazy how different TFOP used to be. Just compare old cosmo to the newer one.
Still won't be as bad as any of the sitcoms Disney and Nick put out. Some of the stuff in those gets to be borderline racist, its even worse for Disney who has that campaign to stop stereotyping people yet their shows are full of them.

Everything involving that show is just all that is wrong with "children's" entertainment, today.

This reminded me that he wasn't a complete moron in the old episodes.
I never watched it. How bad is it?
It's produced by a director's company that made adult films. Basically everything you can think of when you consider those shady Hollywood conspiracies.
You gotta wonder what the hell is going on in Nick's HQ. CN and Disney have been getting relatively great shows recently, meanwhile Nick just... wtf happened to Nickelodeon? Nickelodeon use to have so many great and unique shows back then, but now they're left with new mediocre/bad shows and they're still milking old shows like FOP and Spongebob. Like holy shit how did this channel go so low?
Complacency. For a long time, Disney wasn't considered to be much of a threat and cartoon network took a dive in quality after their late 90s-early 00s programming ended and the concurrent Boston bomb scare controversy, so they believed that they were invincible. Now, a decade later, cartoon network's mounting a successful comeback, Disney channel has more robust programming and nickelodeon has little to show for the past ten years.
I remember there being a campaign to ban it because of all the themes related to cuckolding.
Yes. Something like that, and all of the other racist overtones it possesses making it totally disgusting, for some show that probably isn't going to get another season, regardless.

Now, a decade later, cartoon network's mounting a successful comeback, Disney channel has more robust programming and nickelodeon has little to show for the past ten years.
I think the key difference is that the programming actually changed where Nick, well, hasn't. Cartoon Network became much more adult and has created a line of shows that successfully appeal to teenagers and adults, and by extension, kids. Not to say CN doesn't have bad shows too, but their best shows, Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Steven Universe, are all a lot more adult and aren't afraid to have more complicated stories and emotional moments and character growth and adult humor and shit. Nickelodeon on the other hand, has tried to say pretty much exactly the same as they were at their highest point. They keep the big zombies of Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents going but the rest of their shows are just the same dumb slapstick, mixed in with weird CGI shows like Fanboy and Chum Chum that try and fail to capture the air of successes like Jimmy Neutron, and god awful sitcoms trying to be the success that Drake and Josh was. It's the same shitty, lazy, slapstick, corny shit where little to nothing ever matters. Cartoon Network grew up and changed with the audience, and they're succeeding because of that. Nickelodeon has just been sitting around wishing it was the early 2000s again. I wouldn't be surprised if Nickelodeon sees Cartoon Network doing stuff like Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls again and decides to stop trying to emulate their glory days and start trying to drag the rest of it back from the grave. Maybe they'll reboot Danny Phantom or some shit, only terrible. Y'know, looking at all this stuff, maybe we really shouldn't be so upset that Invader Zim got cancelled. I'd hate to see what the Nickelodeon of now would do to it.

Most of their live actions shows get canned pretty fast anyway. There is a reason most of their live action shows are from the last 2 years. I think by definition Nick is truly insane by pushing live action show after live action show even though most of them fail.

Let it die. Please. I used to watch this show, but just let it die, Nick.
um UM do we need to call the police
Please use proper grammar, when you're shitposting like that. It really helps the discussion.
I think by definition Nick is truly insane by pushing live action show after live action show even though most of them fail.
They're trying to compete with the Disney Channel. That's what started the Schneider binge they were on before these newer shows.
But it still doesn't make any sense to compete with Disney Channel when Nick was more famous for their cartoons and a very small selection of live action shows. Trying to compete with Cartoon Network or at least Toon Disney (R.I.P) might have been better in the long run for them. But then again if you look at their current cartoon line up they are not very good at cartoons now either.

I'm not even 20, but when I watched TFOP, Cosmo's voice was probably in-between this and how he sounds in the new episodes.

In my opinion i don't think Nickelodeon will ever go back to being good because while other channels like Disney and CN are getting good content like Steven Universe, Wander Over Yonder, Adventure Time and ect. Nickelodeon is left in the dust attempting to appeal to kids by throwing out more Dan Schneider sitcoms thinking it'll be the next Drake and Josh or getting another bad cartoon thinking it'll be a huge hit. I feel like if Nickelodeon were to listen to what people want from them to have their channel get better that would actually make them start to improve, but i doubt they'd ever do such a thing and the only thing Nickelodeon would ever be good for is watching old re-runs of Spongebob.
Don't remind me
The only redeeming factor of this movie is that the voice of Timmy's Dad actually plays Timmy's Dad in this
I want to know if that movie is canon in the context of the cartoon. Because for some reason it makes it more likely in my mind that Timmy will get fucking shot after everything is said and done.
