Isn't Zosky Kaput the company that animated rugrats? :vs:
Exactly.
...You mean this isn't a parody? Holy shit.
I legit thought this show was canceled years ago like Danny Phantom.
This might just sound like a good idea in my head, but this thread made me think that we could use a General Cartoon Nostalgia thread.
We can talk about when Spongebob used to be good and how *cartoon* went off the air to soon or how it overstayed its welcome.
If there is enough interest I may make the thread or someone else can.

The idea that they clashed a show about science and magic to make something pretty fun makes me miss the old cartoons that used to air.
I remember when Cartoon Network did this huge cross-show promotion called INVADED that went between 5 of the shows ending with a finale on the Grim Adventures.
Cool enough, the specials actually had some continuity within the cartoons for like a season or two.
More events like this need to happen. By the time the shows were starting to get stale, they do this to freshen the experience of not one, but five shows at once for years. Imagine Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Regular Show, Gumball, and Transformers: Robots in Disguise had this massive crossover and it's the same aliens as before or something just way over-the-top.
We all have our dreams...
We shouldn't trust Cartoon Network to do crossovers anymore.

The seasons before Poof of Fairly OddParents had this oddly enchanting way of worldbuilding.
Think about the things they came up with, like the pixies and the island of rejected wishes and all the other fairies.
Every time you learned more about the fairy world it felt like a discovery.

I don't think that was CN's decision.
The people who made Uncle Grandpa and Steven Universe are actually friends with each other and wanted to do a crossover for fun cause they like each others work.

No. Because I have those memories too

I'm gonna be completely honest, although uncle grandpa is pretty garbage (or so I've been told, I haven't watched it) I really didn't mind the noncanon crossover. It was innocuous and a pardoy of itself, not something that has consequences episodes down the line.

Edd Ed n' Eddy is probably the only cartoon I've ever seen that both ended at the right time and had a solid ending.
I only remember this invasion thing because this episode aired after the ending it had, oddly enough.
The Ed Edd n Eddy movie was so good.
This show needs a mercy killing.
I watched an episode of the show that aired when I was a kid and it was incredibly unfunny and extremely annoying. It really gets down to all those god damn sound effects.

I've seen some episodes of UG. It's just goofy fun that got laughs out of me.
Also for the most part /co/ has a neutral consensus of it, so that's good enough in my book.
For me Uncle Grandpa is hit and miss.
IMO it's not that great.
However, It's way better then Teen Titans GO.

I didn't even really like the show, and I liked the movie.
Do you guys remember Kaput and Zosky :v:?
No but I'm watching an episode and one minute in the guy mentions "one of those gizmos you use to decode porno stations" :v:

FOP was always pretty mindless if I remember it well enough. It was annoying to the point that my dad told me I wasn't allowed to watch it anymore. Must've been hell to hear that in the background while trying to read the newspaper.
there was a movie?
Yeah. It's about how the crew screws up big time with one of their attempted scams and have to go to Eddy's brother to resolve it.
there was a movie?
do yourself a favor and watch it. it was probably the best way to end the series, especially for it to come like 2-3 years after the show ended.
[editline]31st January 2016[/editline]
that is if you're a fan of the original show. it's huuugely fanservicey and has a lot of plot points based off of the show

I'm glad that the two shows that I was crazy about on CN got really good endings: Foster's Home and Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy
Foster's didn't get a movie like EEnE did but it had a fairly sentimental last episode that called back to the whole premise that began the show. They even poked fun at them jumping the shark, (apologies for the shitty video, I really can't find it anywhere else,) in what I feel like can only be Craig McCracken knowingly nodding to the audience as he walked out the door on his final project at CN. There's one big final resolution, a dumb gag, and a thank you from Craig McCracken. It wasn't a big affair, but it meant a lot to me as a kid that religiously watched the show week to week.
Nick used to feel like a serious competitor back in the day, now they're a joke, and the 'Life Support Network' is a pretty fitting name.
I checked, and y'know what's the oldest cartoon show currently being made by Cartoon Network? Adventure Time. And that's only 5 years old. Nickelodeon's oldest show, as I'm sure you're aware, is Spongebob, clocking in at 17 years old. And the newer stuff they put out is just a load of hot garbage nobody cares about.
But they pretty much put themselves in this situation, y'know? Like imagine if Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob were cancelled tomorrow. The network would fucking die. Because nobody gives half a shit about 'Sanjay and Craig'.
At least they're smart about Spongebob and only make a new season every 2 years or so instead of pumping out a million half-assed episodes.
There's only been 9 seasons in 17 years.
For comparison, Adventure Time has only ran 1/3 as long as Spongebob but already has 7 seasons and 30 more episodes.
That's because they have 1 new episode every 2-3 months.
So it takes them a year to even get though half a season.

As someone who's love for cartoons and art was hugely influenced by The Powerpuff Girls, I owe Craig McCracken so much.

I don't think I ever saw that episode. I always thought the last one was that two hour long special "Destination Imagination."
