It was originally supposed to be a mini-series of about six episodes that turned into four seasons. I'm not gonna say it was milked but with that in mind I could see someone coming to a conclusion like that.

Back on the topic, I see no reason why the Fairly OddParents should still be running. This show has done nothing to influence the animation industry like long-running shows like SpongeBob and the Simpsons.

my theory is that it's been in this sweet spot where it's just profitable enough to not tempt the executives to cancel it and exactly the right amount of mediocre to avoid attracting either a fandom or a hatedom.

Which is a shame cause it was my jam.
I remember staying up to 8PM to watch a half hour of Fairly OddParents on Nick almost every day in 2005.
It's kinda how I discovered Avatar The Last Airbender, so I've got this to thank for that.

It's less mediocre now and just plain shitake. Nobody's a semblance of who they used to be, there's now a magic babe and dog to cause [I]~wAcKy~[/I] shenanigans, everybody except Timmy and co. are gone, and now Chloe.
This is not the show I remember.

I actually haven't seen the new episode just read about it, and I don't remember a lot from Channel Chasers, but in this new episode they fix everything at the end, so that future part of Channel Chasers could be after the fix

i think its kinda fair to say that CN hasn't really had much of a dramatic downfall
apart from that CN real bullshit back in 09, they've always been pretty strong

that's what i meant by CN Real, their dumb attempt to be like the MTV of cartoons and make live action shit, of course it didn't end well and resulted in major backlash

Nickelodeon on the other hand is just getting progressively worse, you'd think by now they would have struck gold like CN and Disney in making a show that gets a cult following but they haven't.
Nick has the ability to lean with live action because they were doing it before they were called Nick (Pinwheel) but even that shit has been fucking garbage
I think honestly the only thing that has Nick running is nogalistia for old shows and Nick Jr. which is still favoured amongst preschools and some education departments
What people hated most about CN after the ATHF bomb scare (generally considered to be the network's lowest point) was how it was run. Didn't necessarily mean all the programming was shit, just that the person in charge was an idiot.

Teen Titans Go plays on Boomerang too and I'm pretty sure that's still on-going. They basically turned Boomerang into a second CN that occasionally plays old cartoons too. It sucks.

They do daily repeats. I'll see an episode of Tom and Jerry in the morning before I head to work, and then I come home at night and the same episode's on again.
