Well considering you said it to another Welsh person, no.
More like Asshattery.
Mae'r geiriau yn edrych fel rhywun Tarodd ar fysellfwrdd
I live here. Does that count?
Hence the name.
Your not really a country, more of a principality.
The flag is ok, but personally i think the Union Jack is the best.
Have you any Idea what the Union jack stands for? The English and Scottish alliance? Just cuz the scotts had William Wallis, The fact is, the English never crossed the Welsh borders, we threw them out quicker than you could say, "iawn will?". Then the last great King of Wales died :c Llywelyn The Great. Some stories you won't hear in an English school's history lessons.
No films about the English invading Wales?, that's cuz they got stopped from the word "go". Most records of the massacres that the Welsh-man caused were destroyed to avoid Wales and Scotland forming an alliance.
It sorta sucks that the language is dying, can't say I'm suprised though.

I was also expressing my opinion, that you should be less ignorant before posting.
>:D Don't take it to heart man, I'm just a revolutionist.
Dude, If you visit a "Very Welsh" town, I would advise you to not say that in public :S
Obviously, as I don't live there, I'm not the expert - but I'm just sayin' what I'm seein'.
Besides, as I said, I'm not insulting the place. Why would I insult my birthplace?

Do you live in a small village with a single post office? That seems to be the only type of civilization in Walse apart from the cities which are usually based on the coast
OP you're weird.
This is such a frikkin coincidence. I've been living in Swansea for the past 6 months, finally moved back to London today.
It's generally a nice place, though I found the Welsh don't really consider the likes of Newport and Cardiff to be part of Wales, coz there are soo many English there. To the people I met 'true' Wales starts at about Bari.
Also, if you're English, avoid going to Wales when the Rugby is on. They hate the English, especially when it comes to Rugby. They support the other Celtic nations too. They don't give a shit about football.
The Welsh seem to be a very patriotic people. Obviously I'm generalising here on the people I met while I was there, but after six months in Swansea this is the overall impression I came away with.
Also, the Gower peninsula is beautiful, even better then Cornwall's beaches IMO.
Also my Girlfriend is Welsh (hense why we were living in Swansea).

Actually where I live is on a medium sized farm, in the middle of three smaller houses either side, I haven't met my neighbours in the 8 years I have lived on the "The Island". So there is no post office either, infact the nearest village with a corner shop is about 1.5 miles away. Very peaceful n the shit you see in the sky cuz of no street lights is AMAZING !
Eh, When I went nothing really to see, so it is impossible to gather an opinion from the ENDLESS fields.

Sounds like somewhere my dad would like. He loves astronomy

I suppose the vast open space is a good place to chill, but also can be VERY creepy if your alone. At night in the middle of a country lane 2 miles away from your house, with all sorts of noises going on....Does stuff to ya head :S
@carcarcargo
when I lived in my old town on the coast of Wales, I never had seen a shooting star or one of those meteorite things, but after living in the middle of nowhere. you get used to them, although sometimes, They can make you think UFO !!!
Rydw i yn cymraeg!
You sure you weren't in the wild west circa 1887?
That's exactly what I thought. We backed up and came out the pub. Once we were out, the music started again. It was surreal.

You should have said "Hi" and waved at the piano guy, slowly and slightly retarded like. They were probably saying
"Oh, Its an outsider boyo, look at his shiny clothes, n those f##kin shoes, I could do with a watch like that"
In the background.
I lived in Shropshire quite near the Welsh border for a while a year or so back. Was quite nice but not a lot there. I was in a village with a pub. That was it! One pub!
Been there twice. Dismal place full of old ugly people with a horrible accent.
I went years ago to visit my family in Llandudno. I don't really remember it because I was pretty young but it was a pretty peaceful place, boring but peaceful.

If you are implying that Welsh is mumbo-jumbo, It probably is to you. But the welsh language has hardly changed since we threw the Romans out. So if you are implying that it is "mixed up english" you are sadly mistaken. English only came about when the saxons invaded, and thats a good thousand years after the Roman times.
No, I am saying that's what the written language looks like to me and if I had to write fake convincing Welsh, that's how I would do it.
It's funny because a steam friend in Oxford gets 2mb internet but mine goes to 7mb sometimes it got the full 8mb.
[editline]09:04AM[/editline]
I did have books from school of which I could write whole stories in welsh but now I have simply forgotten most of the language.
in milford haven visiting the fam atm
absolutely love it here
I was down in Cwbran last week and it was amazing.
Just finishing my first year at Bangor University. One of the least welsh bits of Wales, but it's a lovely country regardless. I'm not in a hurry to leave.
Why does everyone hate the welsh accent? It cheers me up every time I hear it.
