What do you guys think about this one? Thinking about buying it. It's the TW Steel TW902
I would buy one of those simple indestructable ones soldiers used in WW2, but I like my retro-style digital Casio. (90's nerd? Fuck you, the display is huge and the alarm is loud) [editline]29th February 2012[/editline]
Gentlemen... Edifice EF527D-1AV. Best Casio watch if you ask me.
Does that thing where they add so much shit to something you can barely see the primary function happen to every piece of portable tech
I use an analogue watch. It's not an extremely fancy one, but I prefer it to digital displays. It helps me estimate the passage of time more easily.
I find wristwatches really irritating, so I go with a pocket watch. They don't really make many digital pocketwatches, so yeah.
I'm thinking about buying this one:
Not ones within my shitty price-range, anyway. Also I just generally have shitty watches because I have a fairly low price range.
I (currently) wear the watch my mother got when she bought her BMW. It's nothing fancy, An Expedition Indiglo. Analog clock with second hand, battery powered, small digital screen for numeral display of time. Can display two other time zones, the date (d/m/y), and two different timers.
I think I should get a watch again, too.. any recommondations for something cheap?
I have a pocket watch that runs backwards. I love pulling it out and confusing the shit out everyone.
I have a rewinder as well, did you get yours in the book about time travel?
I have a rewinder as well, did you get yours in the book about time travel?
Nah, my grandfather gave it to me about a year ago, he said he found it at a yard sale and it was broken. He fixed it and gave it to me. He's not a watch maker, but he knows how to fix them up.
I currently own a Citizen Eco Drive MB6687-53F

It has one of those fancy solar panels that charges the battery even from lamps and such.

I know this isn't an analog watch at all, but it's still the coolest fucking watch I own. It's called an Iron Samurai:

My favourite watch, which i will never own as it costs $700,000 Its a Harry Winston time piece - Histoire de Tourbillon 3 - with nearly 500 moving parts [t]http://storage.harrywinston.com/images/products/eca548dd87684fc0944bda2ea09c701b/large[/t] http://expensive-world.com/harry-winston-histoire-de-tourbillon-3-watch-baselworld-2012/
My favorite watch which nobody except the owner knows where it is is the Stauer Graves 33' Designed for a millionaire collector (Henry Graves) it took over three years to design. It has 7 hands, 27 jewels, and 210 individual parts. Made by hand, tested for 15 days to ensure accuracy, then after it made its trip over seas it was tested again. It was bought for 11,030,000 by a private collector(anonymously). You can buy reproductions. The reproduction costs $100.00. Pocket watches are so goddamn sexy
Holy shit, that looks awesome.
It's $5.00 on amazon as well, pretty good price for it. http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Samurai-Japanese-Inspired-Watch/dp/B0035QP2R2

Y/N?
A lot about good watches is personal preference. I personally prefer the large second hand to go with the time itself, and have smaller faces act as part of the chronograph. I do like the yellow hands, and the lower part of the large second hand(the T shape). One thing I don't like is that the stainless steel, being reflective, makes it seem like more of a dress watch and not a tool(personal preference). If it was blue, or less reflective I think it would look better considering what it is. What did you get it for?
my current watch simple, classy.
Its to bad most of these watches are battery powered.. I personally own 3 watches : FOSSIL Got it for my suit OMAX Grandmother got it for me (Can't find image.. :/ too lazy to take my own) RAKETA (made in USSR) Hand winding! :) Btw, if anyone is thinking about getting a Fossil watch - I'd suggest going for stainless steel.. Ya sure it will scratch, but when the paint starts to fade.. Also Fossil watches are fairly heavy, but then again every watch is like that.. (Ones that are around 100-200 dollars that is) (I know hard to see but that's the color fading off the watch)
I think I'm going to buy a watch for my girlfriend as a birthday gift, any suggestion?
I got this very nice and simple watch for my 18th birthday: A citizen eco drive with a chronograph, as said above it has a neat little feature in that it's solar powered with a watch battery backup I love the thing quite a lot but seldom get to wear it, i'm not going to wear a nice (and expensive) watch like this to work/school. I'm looking for a rather nice, inexpensive watch to wear just around.

It's beautiful.

[img_thumb]https://www.jackthreads.com/data/products/supersize_Tri_EyeChronoAnalogWithLeatherStrapsWatchBlackWhiteA.jpg[/img_thumb] Watch I currently have. Thumbed for size.
I got given this by my granddad when we left England. Its nice, but its stopped and the strap is broken. [t]http://i.imgur.com/hFg7r.jpg[/t] Its probably fake, but even so I think its a nice watch.
The Rolex Sea-Dweller, the best watch I have ever owned.
