that's a future goal, there has to be understanding to get to that point. that's the point of the video. in the future, when we have overcame sexism through discussion and understanding, we will naturally not judge people based on those criteria. the point of the video is to say, "let's get to that point" not "let's just drop it immediately" because the matter of the fact is we are not ready for that. ignoring something does not make it go away

I'm not suggesting to drop it at all. I think that sexism is indeed an important issue that needs to be discussed. I'm just saying that putting people into separate groups based on gender is counterproductive.
so what divides us is the idea of creating a community where people who feel divided can be a part of something, but not actually misogyny or racism

well you don't have to refer to them as that at all times, but when we are discussing gender in the gaming community it's necessary, of course, and beyond that, for females, a minority in said community, it gives them something to be a part of. Again, it's really no different than a clan for gay people, or even a clan for people that like smoked cheese. it allows for a friendly group with a centralized focus and ultimately holds no negative effects on any other clan. i can't see how its in any way a problem. it's no coincidence girls never complain about guys "flaunting their gender".

it doesn't make sense. why would you join a group you have no connection to? do you know why they don't let men in those groups, beyond that? because the whole purpose is to create a safer group for women where they dont have to worry about men fucking with them what so ever, and where they can share experiences that you as a man could not have
