arguing on the internet is stupid
LOL good job openly admitting to trolling
You forgot this.
I was just making a joke about the fanaticism of certain members on this forum, when it comes to women, MRA's and all that gender equality jazz. You need to relax.
If you took it the wrong way, that's your problem.
i didnt forget it; your post heavily implies you are trying to get people mad, ie the definition of trolling. for example, i can make a "joke" how you are too afraid and self conscious to actually state your opinion and just make snide remarks to avoid getting negative ratings, god forbid. just saying "calm down" afterwards doesn't change the original intent of such a statement.
You wanna know my opinion? I thought the video was funny and apart from the idiotic youtube comments, it really puts a spotlight on the male dominated gaming community that is league of legends. If I'd cared about ratings, I would've stopped posted long ago.
and you've failed to address the point I was trying to make which is that in your posts you are clearly antagonizing, shitposting, and baiting. just re-read your posts on the first page and tell me you are not trolling/flaming with your one word responses. in fact, it's YOUR first post that brought the discussion of feminism into this thread in the first place. [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] and i don't see how you can claim that post was a joke when you later come into the thread claiming you were "right" [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] either you were not making a joke or you were trolling and baiting
Then I must have some kind of superpower that commands people to get aggressive and start debating. Maybe I should have some kind of huge warning lights next time.
ok so you're baiting lol thanks
ok so you're baiting lol thanks
no im not lol, but trying to convince you is like trying to convince a brick wall. See ya
just look up team siren
Oh god they sound so lesbian. League of Legends is a great game.
that scene of her playing chess made me cringe
I have no idea what's going on in this thread but I just wanted to tackle this point,
Basicly, making gender among gamers an issue at all is bad. We shouldn't refer to gamers as either "male gamers" or "Female gamers", nor have groups for either imo. It just further divides us based on differences rather than grouping us for what we all love: Gaming.
Ideally, gender shouldn't be an issue at all. However, as society internalizes and institutionalizes misogyny and gender roles, gender automatically affects everything in society. Which, coincidentally, means gender becomes a serious issue in video gaming. Because of society's internalized perception towards gender and women, a lot of issues pop up in gaming. For instance, this is why we have misogynists in "gurl gamer" discussions, male GameStop customers harassing female employees, men/women being told "they shouldn't play x video game because they are y gender," objectification of female characters across gaming genres, transphobia in video gaming communities, slut shaming of female gamers (often by both genders), online sexual harassment, etc etc. In other words, yes, gender shouldn't be an issue - but our society inherently makes it an issue by causing severe discomfort for non-privileged gamers. In the end, we should simply abolish gender and transcend its boundaries because gender is just fucking stupid. It's very noble to suggest that we should rise above gender, and, as a society, we're slowly veering in that direction. But, we can't simply ignore gender issues, because gender directly affects the gaming community daily. We need to tackle gender and understand how it impacts players, because misogynistic gamers WILL make others uncomfortable one way or another. Plugging your ears and saying "I don't want to talk about gender" only makes things worse for people who are directly affected by these sort of bullies.

It seems it's not difficult to make people mad on this forum(including you). Everything I post is 100% serious btw.
lol i trol u xD

I think that people should be brought together based on common interests rather than divided up into opposing sides, based entirely on something as insignificant as gender. I think that opening discussions, working to understand sexism, and how to overcome sexism would be a far faster process if we weren't treating each other like opposing sports teams. To change society's sexist tendencies, we have to see each other as brothers/sisters rather than "us" and "them".
maximizer39v2 is having a bad day. Poor maximizer39v2.
