No-one likes a snitch. At the end of the day, you should only snitch when it is really important, not for silly things like writing on walls. $200 may seem nice, but it isn't worth the damage it'd do to your social life.

They're defacing school property, why would they even come forward at all? I don't think that the faculty was promising 200 usd to the culprits, but to anyone with information about the culprits.

For 200 dollars and complete anonymity, I'd do it straight away. Besides, people who damage the school's infrastructure should be punished, hard. In college if you're caught writing stuff on the walls you get expulsed and banned for life, from every other university in the country too.

If you're going to snitch, do it anonymously. Don't walk up to whoever and say so and so did it. Send an email instead, from your house. Then, tell them to drop a briefcase off containing the money at some disclosed location, such as in a park where you can monitor it accordingly. Be sure you find a little kid while doing this. Tell him that if he wants to make a quick $10, to go up to the man with the briefcase and get it from him, and bring it back to you. Nobody will know a thing.
