I live in washington, and the snow is alright here. About 2 hours from Baker and close to 2 of the main mountain passes so its pretty sweet. I've been boarding for about 3 years, this seasons is my 4th. I have to agree with you (Mr. Hoff) somewhat as I personally hate some aspects of snowboarding, bust as a sport, I love it. What I don't is that most snowboarders I know are all the "cool" kids who only want to hit the park, because "thats where it's badass". Like, I don't care what you say, I hate riding the park because of all the 13 year old kids who get all of their money from their parents and wear over 1000 dollars in outerwear alone.
Skiers usually piss me off to no end (No offence to skiers, I hope you don't do this) because of how they go from side to side across the entire run. Look, I know that's how you ride, snowboarders have to carve too, but it doesn't take an entire run to do so. Also, apologize when you end up cutting someone off. All older people (50+) will never apologize it seems. I've confronted people before, and it's like they don't care.
^I agree, skiers are big douchebags. One of them hit me with his pole while i was attaching my bindings. He said it was an "accident" but I saw him swing it toward me purposely. :saddowns:
Plus, I don't agree with snowboarders sitting in the middle of runs. I have never, ever witnessed that.
I feel your pain, it's happened to me once. It was after a skier tried to cut me off, so "accidentally" swerved and knocked him over. I even apologized :saddowns:

I can't comprehend that you've never seen that, I see it just about every time I go skiing.
Really?! Yeah I honestly never see that, even on Friday night's when all the 12 year olds ride the bus up to the pass.
I have an artificial ski slope near me lol, biggest one in europe apparntly
Nice! Better than nothing. Do you ride at all?

Is it sad that that's the first thing I saw too?

Which peak are you at? I've gone to Breckenridge 2 years in a row and love it. That's my only time to ski though, so Im not very good. I always stay in the big hotel near the Maggie.
Oh my, hopefully you'll enjoy it.
As for me, i never had snow fall on me or seen real snow. I've seen bastardized snow that was so thin it melted when you picked it up and some of it had a yellow tan on it. Sad, sad desert man.
I went to turkey for 10 days and i just came back yesterday, no snow but still beautiful :banjo:
I love skiing although I've only been once and that was to St Moritz in Switzerland, I want to ski somewhere in America or Canada but it's rather expensive to get there an stuff (since I live in England). I'd try snowboarding but I only have a dry slope near me and the lessons are quite expensive compared to the skiing ones. Hopefully I'll be going somewhere in Europe (probably Austria or France) in two years with some friends

Right off the Four O' Clock run.
i'm off skiing with my girlfriend and the rest of the uni ski club to tignes on the 1st jan. should be pretty good, i'm probably going to buy a pair of skis at the end of this season but i just can't help enjoying renting skis - you can trash them and it doesn't matter.
Going skiing on New Years day, going to be kick ass.
