Does anyone else follow mastermilo on youtube? :v: I can't believe how much abuse this car put up with
A friend of mine once acquired a horrible automatic Saturn SL1 from the early-mid 90s for $50 with an almost full tank of gas, back when gas was >$3/gal. We beat the remaining piss out of it on dirt for like 2 or 3 hours, limped it back to his driveway and then it never started again. Wrecking beaters is fun.

One of the dudes had a father who worked in scrap so he'd just turn the no longer functional vehicles over to his dad. It was outrageously dangerous since many didn't have interiors at all and we would just ratchet strap milk crates or some shit to the floor to sit on it, many were technically totaled with bent frames or worse. It's amazing how cheap you can get running vehicles when they're taking up space in a guy's lawn and his wife is making him get rid of that junk.
She may not be the prettiest or fastest but damn she's fun.
Installed an addon trans cooler to my SUS, inline with OEM. Huge difference in stop + go. Bought some 'Hyper Lube Super Coolant' Anyone have experience with it? Reviews are excellent on every site. Mainly want it for extra corrosion prevension, though it claims to help with cooling.

NP241 (1994-2002 dodge) and a NP271 (2003-2005 dodge). Gonna take some BFH persuasion to get this fat bastard in the truck, but its a much better transfercase all around. I guess at this point I'm just getting rid of any and every weak link this truck has. The bottom picture is with the new axle, its actually not pushed forwards, rather centered to the shock tower. The stock axle had the spring mount forward of the axle (pushing the axle back) [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/1B9BC848-3789-4C1B-8F36-01CDC0024F3E_zps21shcker.jpg[/thumb] Welded the control arms too, between the 2" .250 wall tubing and massive joints I think they weigh about 35 pounds each! If all goes good the trans is going in tomorrow [editline]2nd June 2017[/editline]
Installed an addon trans cooler to my SUS, inline with OEM. Huge difference in stop + go. I plan to use it with my fresh 50/50 coolant. I live in North Carolina, so 100F summer, 25F nights in winter. I do travel north now and then, so i stick with 50/50 rather than switching every time i go up. My car has the EJ25D, known for headgasket issues. It has low miles and good headgaskets. Subaru recommends running stop leaks, though i feel it will cause issues in the long run. My thoughts are to run extra corossion preventors.

I can't watch mastermilo's videos. I always get incredibly sad seeing cars that could be fixed up or given to those in need just ruthlessly abused. Ever since seeing cash for clunkers videos like this one, I really get upset over stuff like that. Absolutely monstrous to just floor an engine without oil until it dies. We did so much dumb shit with that car, driving it offroad, over a pedestrian bridge (which was barely wide enough to fit the car) Good times.

That is not cool. Speaking of XJ's and being triggered, replaced the fuel pump, all EFI sensors, o2 sensor, full oil/filter change, full trans fluid change, nothing unusual in any of the fluids. Problem has not gone away, although it is a little better, it's not good to drive. :surrender: I guess i gotta get a fuel pressure gauge to plumb in and pull the injectors for a refurbishing. I struggle to think what else it could be.
Now sit back and get comfortable as I tell you this story about how not to drive your little golf "off road". After a hard day's work yesterday I decided to go camping in my Golf. I do this once a week and it's great! Go down to some lake, have a fire and grill some sausages and just chill. Sleep, have a dip in the water and go out for a drive. Great stuff usually. Well, last night I was out at a place I've never been. Saw a road barrier and went and had a look, yep it's not locked. Cool, it might have something good behind it. I spotted a lake and drove towards it on this road that became worse and worse. So bad that it just turned into bush. Went to do a u-turn without thinking too much and heard a loud THUNK as the front wheels slipped down into a ditch. Completely stuck, wouldn't budge. Subframe, oil pan and floor were lodged on the dirt completely jamming any movement. "Oh I want an adventure so this is okay, I'll be out of here in no time" I thought. 5 fucking hours of digging with a spade (that broke) and a knife (that didn't break) well into the night and nothing. Still stuck. My jack broke and wouldn't lift the car any more and it was getting pretty cold. My pants were completely covered in water and mud, I had sores on my hands and the sun was starting to rise again. Figured I'd have a rest and continue in the morning. Before sleeping I wrote a note and walked 20 minutes to a house I had seen along the way. Wake up freezing, waited an hour or so and then my savoir came!! An old man came walking down the track and laughingly said "oh this is camping then is it?" 10 minutes later I was free. I pushed the car as he drove it and it came unstuck. Now to put the front lip among some other plastic bits back on and fix a hole from a rock in the power steering line and I'll be back on it for another weekend. Hopefully not getting stuck next time :v:

It's basicly a additive so electrolysis won't eat your engine. Your "fluid"s additives will break down faster then just using additives in like pellets.
Boring stuff today -Installed rear-sway bar -Replaced all suspension bolts with NEW OEM bmw bolts. (I kinda regret paying 200+ euro's for new bolts n shit but whatever :v:) -Installed custom solid transmission mounts Then I looked into getting the front parts sprayed....Since my neighbours moved I don't have access to a spray booth anymore. So I went to a local bodyshop, told them i needed my fenders, grill and front-bumper sprayed. I told them -No bodywork required, no filler, bodywork or whatever -Will drop off separate parts, no masking required -Will provide paint -2 stage paint, no clearcoat required -Doesn't have to look great, just look OKAY from 10ft. -SO JUST DUST OFF AND SPRAY THE FUCKING THINGS Then the absolute madman quoted me 700 dollars! So now I'm looking into getting rattle cans mixed in the specific color from the same store I bought the original paint from. Wat do you guys thing? Agree for finish with rattle cans Disagree because I'm an idiot

Bare metal + clearcoat :^)
I have a cheap shitty HVLP, but my workplace is in a warehouse with lots of exposed glass ment for production. There can't be the slighest amount of overspray wandering about... Maybe make a shitty tent, but then there's no air filtering...
For $700 you can get a shitty tent as well as a cheap fan and make your own paint booth [editline]3rd June 2017[/editline] Just look at it as spending $700 to paint your front clip, but instead you're gaining some new tools
Also comparison : [editline]3rd June 2017[/editline] Hmmm I should really keep a tight leash on the budget. oohh..... carbon fiber headlight delete plates... BUY

Holy shit the alternator is literally trapped in the engine bay of the AW11. Both the BGB and the Haynes say nothing about how to actually remove it. Shits a puzzle
damn it [t]http://i.imgur.com/cTRS1fm.png[/t]
new fuel cap. Just call it at that. Just finished my P0455/6 code, it was a fuel cap. I'm actually pretty happy about that. I didn't wanna haffa smoke test my car. But now I have a short somewhere in my aux power lines for police equipment. Fucking god only knows where, it worked a few weeks ago.
