That fender rust though
Actually, it's orange paint from a previous Mustang that it came off of :D, my hatch is green on the inside and my rear bumper use to be blue!
We got a new trailer at work, it's 6 inches shorter than all our other trailers. You can't drive a fork lift inside it.
👍
around here we call that a basin city special

love how basic it looks
love how basic it looks
It is!
I try to keep it as simple as possible. I got rid of the entire default wiring harness.
I don't have ABS or anything either. My brake lights are triggered by a sensor in the brake lines. Do pretty much everything is analog. Which keeps the headaches away :v:

Analog is the way to go, a reason why I like older cars better.
Nothing digital in my car :-)
Maybe you should stop owning Chrysler products
:s: So far all the issues I've had with my cars are because of previous owners neglect to maintain their vehicles. You wanna know how much stop leak I found in the Daytona? I guarantee you the cooling system is 60% stopleak by volume.
PT Cruiser was also owned by a neglegent fat depressed lady. I can tell she did the bare minimum because I've found way too many repairs that were sketch. Like, who the fuck JB welds a boost line onto the intake manifold? Why would you not even attempt to vacuum out the vehicle before selling?
I don't have much time to work on the PT ever, so it's kind of an uphill battle of repairing things.
Doesn't matter what car or brand I get, I feel like I'll just be fixing other peoples mistakes. Even on new cars stupid shit happens, but at least some one else has to fix it for you.
so you bought a piece of shit that wasn't even cleaned before being sold? You know the track records that pts have. Even more so turbo ones, and you bought one that was clearly abused!:why:
Yeah. I bought a piece of shit on purpose.
That reminds me, I saw a matte black turbo PT Cruiser the other day with acid green fenders, also matte. Looked like a walmart spraypaint job. It had a bunch of autozone accessories tacked on to it. I really couldn't get the thought out of my head that someone bought a PT Cruiser, liked it, but thought, "you know, this isn't quite as good as it could be," and that was the result.
So apparently one of the mounting bracket bolts on my exhaust wasn't torqued down enough when it was installed, the heavy vibration of the bored out engine eventually worked it loose. With just one bolt to secure it, I guess too much load was placed on the joint of the exhaust where it connects to the engine and it broke. Engine suddenly sounded like it was underwater and I noticed I was dragging my exhaust behind me, hanging on by just one mounting bolt.
Fortunately, the can itself only got a slight dent/scratch on the underside and the pipe was just 40 bucks to re-weld. Gonna bolt it down again today with rubber grommets so I can torque it down like a motherfucker, maybe loctite it as well. I'm just glad it didn't happen on the highway or anything, was only going like 10mph in a neighborhood so it wasn't a big deal. The welder said the welds at the pipe joint look real pretty, but aren't very strong. Surprising for a 500+ dollar competition racing exhaust, but all is well now so I'm not worked up about it.

Racerboi child inheriting mothers or grandmothers PT Cruiser.
When you buy new paint for the front fenders, and call up the paint shop to mix THE EXACT SAME THING
and then spray your shit, and it turns out the color is wrong :v:
Mechanic told me my MR2 would be in the shop to finish it up on Friday.
Haven't heard from him yet :saddowns:
Last he told me, the new engine was running, but needed a new TPS.

Oh thank fuck. you scared me man.
I have the money to replace my (broken) headlights. I'm just way too damn lazy to do it. And the tinfoil ball is holing up perfectly
My buddy that bought a Genesis coupe like a year and a half ago just traded it in and bought a '12 c63 AMG. He makes as much as I do. :(

he obviously has less bills
He traded in his Genesis and got like $28k and put most of that down on the Merc.
It's so fuckin loud holy shit
Alright boys,
Its been a long while since Ive posted some good content, and Ive had some lying around ready to post.
The vics front fender got all nasty again
[t]https://i.imgur.com/l8RsNoO.jpg[/t]
so I wallerd er out and slapped in some years-expired bondo, making sure to keep fucking with it after it set up, so it got all nice and nasty
[t]https://i.imgur.com/aPmFE9K.jpg[/t]
couple times of rework later
[t]https://i.imgur.com/WpQoSer.jpg[/t]
and I redid my crappy rattlecan wheel paint with more crappy rattlecan work. This time, with primer
[t]https://i.imgur.com/KFzGwJP.jpg[/t]
[t]https://i.imgur.com/qfzWHo7.jpg[/t]
I might grab a buffing wheel and knock off some of the overspray later, but for now its better than it was
[t]https://i.imgur.com/CTXVHl5.jpg[/t]
I also replaced my shitty coolant leaking plastic ford manifold with a shitty plastic doorman manifold, where theyre so cheap that they didnt even thread the plastic holes for the coil pack and fuel rail mounts, and included self tapping screws. The holes in the coolant crossover and the manifold dont even line up right. Doesnt leak cooland [del]yet[/del] though.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/EhvYFSo.jpg[/t]
then I added some bitchin stuff like window vents and a fresh "police interceptor" badge
[t]https://i.imgur.com/56mIKSB.jpg[/t]
After that I went on a roadtrip to wisconsin with my friends, where the vic ate a water pump bearing, so I changed the water pump in the hotel parking lot. It was a nice break from the cheese and alcohol. Saw a kickass swamp tank on the way.

[t]https://i.imgur.com/dPdq8aR.jpg[/t]
now heres the kicker:
When I was dicking round with the intake, I snapped off the EGR tube near the manifold. There was no way I could get the nut off the manifold to put a new one on, and honestly I was considering doing a delete anyway. Im not real keen on the thought of intentionally dumping shitty sooty air into my beloved boat anchor of an engine. The downside being that if I put a block off plate on, I would have another annoying CEL to deal with. So, me being a good midwest boy, capped off the line at the manifold and smacked it up with a little cheap auto store magic.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/rLkKNwq.jpg[/t]
Bam, the valve still works, and still detects flow, so no annoying CEL, and no shitty smogshit going into my shiny new intake. I was really interested to see what it would do to my mpg, and lucky for me I record my mpg at each fill up. On my trip, hauling me, 3 mildly overweight guys, and a trunk full of beer, going 75-80 mph average, I got just a blonde one under 22 mpg on the first fill up, just under 23 on the second fill up. Previously I would be lucky to get 18 hauling just me and an empty trunk. I bet if I put goot 91 octane corn free gas in it and kept it to 70mph I might get close to the EPA rated 24 mpg hwy.
TLDR: I made my hooptie pretty again the lazy way and improved my mpg by 25% by sabotaging the emissions equipment.
Holy shit birdman you are the reason I'm afraid to buy a used police car :v:
I'm actually a bit surprised, My 2005 interceptor was cleaner than Birdmans :V
I got out of a 100mph speeding ticket on the way to work because I told the officer that Kickstart my Heart had come on the radio and how can you not put your foot down?

In other news I'm going to court for having an accident

What do you mean by that? Rust wise? In that aspect i totally agree, this much rust has got no place being on a 2010 anything.
In other news I'm going to court for having an accident
what the fuck
you mean where you drove under the speed limit, and hit a patch of black ice?
what the fuck

Yep
[editline]7th June 2017[/editline]
The police simply refuse to believe me and insist that I drove without proper care ect
How about they PROVE you did anything wrong
