Their only "proof" is that the tire marks off the road were long. How much braking power do you think you have on studless winter tires on a downhill slope on really wet grass on a field? [editline]7th June 2017[/editline] If I by some miracle lose this court thing though, I will have to pay for the entire court session and the fine I got originally which also may be bigger since it's going to be a completely new sentence.
For anyone who likes to watch drifting in Ebisu, here's a fucking 8 hour long video
Is it possible I wired my car radio all wrong and now the display is really faded (can't read the led display very good) and it jumps FM channel every now and again? It's a shit car but it gets me from A to B which is all that I want in a car. (I probably don't belong in this thread)
Ahhhhhh someone hold me I found a racing company that claims to own the ORIGINAL moulds for the BMW PTG GTR racecar. If only
Yep [editline]7th June 2017[/editline] The police simply refuse to believe me and insist that I drove without proper care ect
I have no clue how the judicial system works in norseland, but do you have some sort of "innocent until proven guilty" assumption up there?
How about they PROVE you did anything wrong
We'd cite for that too. Thats driving without due care. In no event shall you be moving at a speed that would cause you to lose control of your vehicle and strike another.
We'd cite for that too. Thats driving without due care. In no event shall you be moving at a speed that would cause you to lose control of your vehicle and strike another.
So when there's a risk of black ice you should be driving at 10kmh at all times?
Fuckin work man. 14 hour days and all I want to do is work on the MR2. Guess I need the cash though.
See, like araknid said that's the bullshit of "unsafe speed for conditions" tickets.. black ice is dangerous because it's unexpected. I've seen cars in the ditch on a sunny winter day because the road got wet from melt, then the sun moved and it went into a shadow and froze. How do you prepare for that? It's a little ridiculous.

Ridiculous or not, if you leave the roadway or hit someone else it's your fault, not the weather's. They're called crashes and not accidents for a reason: they are preventable.
Thing is though and I've told the police this, that when I went out to drive that day I of course saw the road was wet and the temperature was low and I did test braking several times to check the road surface and my grip and continued at the speed that seemed safe yet not way too slow. If that's not "proper care" then I don't know what is

hello guys. while driving home last week a rock struck my windscreen right at the far left, it was complete bullshit there was no cars near me. i didn't notice any damage when i got him but the next day when i got home from the shops i noticed a large crack had formed. its about 6-8 inches long going to the right across the windscreen, is something like that repairable? if so how much generally does a repair cost, if not how much would a replacement cost for a 94 lancer? just asking generally prices, if anyone knows where to get a good deal (in aus) that would be appreciated.

dang, if i can stop it from getting worse am i going to get in trouble for it? its technically an obstruction of view but its all the way on the left side.
They're called crashes and not accidents for a reason: they are preventable.
Yeah by not driving at all, lmao If an animal runs in front of your car out of the side of the road out of dense bush, is that preventable?
Yeah by not driving at all, lmao If an animal runs in front of your car out of the side of the road out of dense bush, is that preventable?
yeah the animal could have prevented it by not running on the road
dang, if i can stop it from getting worse am i going to get in trouble for it? its technically an obstruction of view but its all the way on the left side.
Check your local laws. Some only care about cracks directly in front of the driver, other do not allow cracks on the windshield at all. Also some insurance policies allow for windshield replacement, sometimes for "free". You can look into that if you have comprehensive.
Were not supposed to have any cracks here, but ive got a gigantic one going straight through my line of sight and aross 2\3 of the widshield. Ive been pulled over at least 3 times since i got it, and not one cop has mentioned it.
Sorry for the shitty quality, but is this paintjob passable? [sp]I rattlecanned it[/sp] :v:
Looks great! Now sand it all off and do bare metal LIKE I TOLD YOU TO
Hell of a lot better than my paintwork
Thanks! I didn't think it would turn out decent, since I used rattle cans after all :v: Anyway, the colour is wrong. I'll be receiving the proper colour cans tomorrow. I'll paint the entire front of the car this weekend. Hopefully get it to look half decent.
Noriyaro mentioned that he's a big fan of Roadkill in his latest video. A Noriyaro/Roadkill collab would be hilarious/awesome. And I finally managed to get the alternator out of the MR2. Had to take the exhaust off the hanger. Just waiting for the new one currently.

Ridiculous or not, if you leave the roadway or hit someone else it's your fault, not the weather's. They're called crashes and not accidents for a reason: they are preventable.
As much as I'd hate to agree with aerolope on BS tickets; I generally have to agree. But mostly because in my experience, here in VA and especially badly in NC, drivers aren't used to ice and swear that their 4x4 trucks can brake fine and it's not my fault if someone gets in my way, I can stop fine, and they're usually the ones found in the ditch or ploughing through a tractor trailer doing a reasonable speed for conditions. And also, most courts here, if you fight an 'unsafe speed for conditions' or a 'loss of control of vehicle' charges when it's a pretty obvious case of black ice and there's no physical injuries, most of the times the judges will let it go and your insurance will just suffer minutely.
oh shit guys The "new" engine is in and running! It sounds like shit for now, but it'l get there. Finally, no more oil leaks and idling at 2400. Or rod knock. This motor and transmission is from an '85 MR2 (Mine's an '86) which I bought for a hundred bucks from Prime Performance over in Stanhope, NJ. They specialize in 3SGTE swaps and they did one for a customer's AW11 and they were basically going to throw this motor out after the swap. My old transmission had the common 5th gear pop-out issues, so it also got the "new" transmission with a new clutch. Also grabbed a Toyota 4AGE master gasket set and those were put in the "new" motor as well. Plus a new water and oil pump for it. Here's a few pics of it when I bought it in Feb 2016: [t]http://i.imgur.com/UZ83UgF.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/F4vf26X.png/[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/QW0iwuF.png[/t] So, all that's left now is that we have to replace a gasket which is causing a tiny (like one drop every 5 min) coolant leak on one of the pipes and we have to chop the cat off because it's all clogged up. I've got to buy a new exhaust for it but I have no idea where to start because SV3Power stopped making the one I was going to buy.
is that a subaru baja are you a lesbian
