Naw, not yet. It's too hot out to even think about doing car work. The Vic is still my cruise ship for now.
Seriously it's so hot I've got burns from my steering wheel.

You can stop giving me a boner for massive overkill suspension anytime now.
Guess who gets to spend his only day off on a 50 hour work week replacing his cv axle. Me. Fuck the dealership and their 900 dollar quote

Dude, it was so hot today airports in a few states grounded their jets because it was to dangerous to let them fly.
It was literately to hot to fly a jet. I guess even wind chill at this point won't work to cool stuff.
Iirc, it's because hot air is less dense than cold air so some planes can't get enough speed on the runway to liftoff. And the heat can damage their landing gear.
I'm sure the heat also damages the ground crew too.

its that combined with the fact that the books that have the numbers they use to calculate takeoff math only go up to a certain temp
past that temp they can't legally take off because they can't do the math, can't do the math because no one has the numbers for that temp
Large planes, 737 and bigger, have a max liftoff temp of 127f while smaller regional planes have a cutoff at like 118f. I'm not sure it's just math related.
It all boils down to engine performance. You can't compress hot air as much as cooler air and thus, less thrust which leads to less lift. In smaller GA aircraft the pressure altitude can kill you. You may be able to take off but once that ground effect is gone you're going right back down with the shit engine performance.
Theres been times in GA aircraft where we've been pitch up 10 degrees, max operating speed, and still only maybe climbing 100fpm. Or we were losing altitude at time with that pitch until we got into the cooler air aloft

Wtf do they do in the Middle East, Africa, etc. when it gets bloody hot there? There must be some work arounds to make a plane work in extreme heat like that, no?

runways are longer in the middle east and closer to sea level
phoenix is 1000 feet asl and hot af
It all comes down to air density. Both temp and altitude negatively affect density.

Theres still more to come haha! Gotta take the body lift out, mount some air bags in the front, and begin doing the rear.
Still have to finish the 1 1/4 .250 wall steering rods when my tie rods come in

You don't want planes... It'll turn into a bitch fest and dick waving contest
So i'm still itching to build the draguar, and in my mind i wanted it to have some similar areo kit to the broadspeed XJ6 that Leyland raced in the 70's. Which had the remarkable ability to take pole position at every race it ran by an order of magnitude, and then blow up a few laps into the race, every single race.

Out of boredom i googled "XJ6 body kit", and motherfucker, there's a company making the kit new

Thanks jesus.
Also, car is currently sitting dead in in the garage, with a mystery EFI issue that keeps it from running for more than 15 seconds. God save the queen.

Need some car repair advice.
My 2000 Nissan Sentra started vibrating wildly yesterday when I started it. At closer to idle speeds, the shaking is pretty severe. At higher speeds on the road, it's not really an issue. There's a good bit of power loss.
First guess: Bad spark plugs. I replaced all four today, but I'm still having the same issue.
What do you guys think it might be?

Check for vacuum leaks. Is it misfiring? How did your old plugs look?
Is it throwing any codes?
I can almost guarantee that a cylinder is not firing at all. Check the plugs even though they are new and see which plug looks like it hasnt been fired. Itll look wet or have an oilish sheen to it. Its very slight usually.
If you have one or can get your hands on one, hit with a compression tester to rule that out, I've seen cylinders go flat dead all of a sudden because of gaskets shitting out.
replaced my bad CV axle. It still creaks when turning right but at least I did take care of something that was actually bad.

There was no check engine light, would it throw a code without it?

Not sure if misfiring. Old plugs look okay
Today I took off the front bumper and air dam of the AW11. Found out the housings for the headlamps are pretty much rusted out. Just another piece to find.

flat plane crank LS powered kadett
the camera angles are shit though. make it look like it's doing 20 mph.
Fuck I love flat plane cranks. Sounds like two built I4's fighting over a glass pack.
Cop could have burnt out too
Very true, but the compression test is just an issue eliminator as long as all 4 have good compression.
The wet plug is the culprit cylinder, and where to look for why it's not Kabooming like it should.
Check the entire ignition, not just the plugs
