Ever had best damn root beer? My roommate and I both gave it a try and agreed without hesitation that only the kitchen sink would consider it palatable.

I'm not big on rootbeer, but I think its just OK at best other wise .
I like Henry's Hard sodies and Crabby's if I'm having not beer beer.
Best damn is not very good. If you want a hard root beer, Not Your Father's is as good as it gets in that category, and it's actually pretty good, but beer snobs will laugh at you anyway. I also like a Redd's now and then. :v:
But I primarily drink Revolver so you can't really diss me for indulging in soda beer once in a while.

I got a Not Your Fathers when i was remodeling a garage that the owner had. I did not cease buying them after that. Thats what i wanted regular beer to taste like when i was old enough to drink. I felt lied to when beer didnt tast anything like root beer.
I haven't found a good anything really.
I like corona , buds if that's all we got.
Here lately its been mixed drinks in a yeti with a shot of whatever and some cherry coke.
Works really well.
Had hard lemonade once while fishing... if I didn't have prior buds in my system it would be even more nasty. Red's are okay.
Whines : send me your moscato and cupcakes and I will be happy.
Yuengling is my staple cheap beer (was, anyways. Tryna loose them lovehandles so I don't drink beer much anymore), or Coors since it's what dad likes, so it is always available. Devils backbone or other local stuff if I feel like being a prissy hipster for a few moments.
If it's liquor, I usually just did straight gin. Hendricks, usually. Uncle's Radiator Brand moonshine sometimes. Mom likes rum and cognac, so I go for that as well.
Last time I drank really hard I drank a lot, A LOT of moonshine, crown royal, some mixed vodka shots, a dangerous amount of beer alongside it, and topped it all off with rasberitas (friend delivers for bud so he gets it free do not judge) became a mongoloid for a few hours, drained my pals credits in Forza buying dozens of Ram Runners (different colors for each, apparently), did V12 swaps and made them RWD and laffed while doing many donuts trying to get moving, and topped it off by throwing it all up in a waffle house bathroom. God bless this country.
Gin and ginger ale/beer is my favorite drink, gin and tonic is OK, if it's not cheap tonic. Usually only buy local beers, living in the PNW and all I got lots of options, but I've kinda cut back. Takes me forever to drink even a 6 pack anymore.

also cucumber lime gatorade does a really good job masking cheap liquor. you can mix it like 50/50 and it still not taste like alcohol. I use either gin or vodka

he's probably using turbo yeast and/or fermenting it hot. you want to ferment around 65-68 degrees with a suitable yeast (I like lalvin ec1118 for most things that aren't beer). turbo yeast is only suitable for making fuel as far as I'm concerned and hot fermenting makes it taste like rocket fuel
I actually don't mix a lot of with my gin, not so much because I don't like it, moreso because I am lazy. Usually only when I'm out, and other people give me theirs.
We were at a halloween party in the Outer Banks with my pals last October and I ordered straight gin at the bar, ordered "whatever gin you have that isn't pinnacle" the lady called me a brave motherhubber. She looked like my school bus driver from elementary school, and I had already finished my pals girlfriends drinks (she always orders really foofy mixed drinks and ends up not liking them and giving them to me, she is literally my favorite person to go out with because of this, my friend is the same way) and was very sloshed, so I started to talk to her about the good old days about going around my neighborhood on the bus and asked if she missed it. She looked at me like she was about to laugh at me hard (understandably) and my friends yanked me away to sit down with another guy, who I had a deep conversation with about the best way to remove wet carpet from a condemned building.
I WILL try this gin cuck though. sounds nice
of course if he's using well water or just shitty tap a-la flint michigan then it'll come out tasting like ass too
