Going to try A/C work. I 'think' my system is overcharged slightly. Engages rough, surging when climbing hills, etc. Bought a decent gauge and a 3oz can of 'system conditioner' (PAG oil/134a mix) Figure I will check it, bleed some off, and get some fresh oil in it.
I cleaned and detailed my interior tonight. Also took a cleaning cartridge to my MD deck so it reads discs again.
Holy shit, an Xplod that still works
Holy shit, an Xplod that still works
Barely. When I got it the AM/FM radio was dead. It's a shielded and soldered-in module inside the head unit full of magic. The Xplod head unit I had before it that was CD only used the same tuner module so I swapped it out and the radio magically came back. It also likes to overheat on really hot days and drop the audio but it's been behaved in that regard for at least a year now. when I redressed the wiring for better rear ventilation.
Holy shit, an Xplod that still works
I got an xplod in my old tercel. Works great actually, dunno about the cds but the aux jack werks.
"Man I should be responsible with my money and not buy a--" "hey kid wanna buy a mini cooper" fuck
"Man I should be responsible with my money and not buy a--" "hey kid wanna buy a mini cooper" fuck
Is it Mini or a MINI? Former is a itty bitty tiny deathtrap that's still fun if it's got the 1.3L engine. Latter is a "I can't believe it's not a FWD BMW with quirky interior"
"Man I should be responsible with my money and not buy a--" "hey kid wanna buy a mini cooper" fuck
If it's one of the newer ones its shit [editline]29th July 2017[/editline] mini cooper, more like not-so-mini cooper boom
The JC minis are pretty sweet
If it's one of the newer ones its shit [editline]29th July 2017[/editline] mini cooper, more like not-so-mini cooper boom
You say that but they're getting better each year. My mum may end up getting the new MINI Countryman because it's the closest thing to the original Merc B-Series, even moreso than the current B-Series :v:
Finally going to take a crack and replacing the burnt out front door weatherstrips on my car, on the cheap. Gonna get creative with some silicone sealant and black peelable coating. Will post results later.
I was at a DIY shop yesterday and as I reversed out of the space I was in and was just changing gear to get into first to drive away, some dozy cunt reversed into the rear right quarter of my car. Fucker didn't even look before reversing out, he just kept going until he went into me. By the state of his rear bumper, he does this quite a lot but I got really fucking lucky in that there's a tiny dent (similar to a shopping trolley dent ) and no real paint damage to speak of, a good polish should sort out anything that is there. I need to wash the car to figure where I stand though. Guy owned up to it though, gave me his name and number for getting a hold of him if I need to. It's disappointing after having tried my best to take care of my car (even though it's on finance and I'm not keeping it), and some stupid bastard doesn't pay enough attention to look in the direction he's travelling in.

Last one had the nerve to flip me off after rolling backwards completely across the traffic lane in the parking lot and bouncing off my car's bumper, parked well within my sparking space. :downs:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/jAkeWrd.jpg[/t] I am absolutely amazed by how shiny things can get with 3000 grit, without even polishing yet :v:
Found out my AC actually had a tiny leak at the schrader valve and was slightly low. The 3oz was just enough to top it off. made a schrader tool and fixed the leak.

So I got a new thing. [t]http://i.imgur.com/o70cx9r.jpg[/t] 1986 Honda Magna 700. Boy will that bastard cruise
Welp I am back around. Spent the last few hours banging my head against my chrysler. I have the oddest problem with my thermoquad it cant get enough fuel and stalls if you even look at the throttle.
So it's looking like I'll be moving to Phoenix Arizona for work. Which means I'll have to sell the MR2, and really find out whats going on with the AC in the Volvo. Hell, I think I might just sell the Volvo when I get there.

Spent a solid week out in garage until 3am, got the truck running and driving 10pm yesterday, loaded on the trailer by 12:30. It was all worth it
nice truck slutz are my favorite kind of trashy
So after some more time screwing around on the car the fuel pump is barely managing 1L per minute ,gasoline should not be brown, and I really need to put a clamp on that hose. So what should I do with 80 gallons of contaminated gasoline? (the mechanic who did work on this car for me was told not to fill the tank he is about as good at listening as he was at fixing the brakes)
CB-radio eh? What's going on on channel 15 in Canada? I know that 19 is the common trucker channel.
CB around here is basically unused with the exception of 19. All the hip families either use their phones or those two-way FRS radios from Wal-Mart. I basically own channel 15. There is a base station at the house with a 30' antenna (holy FUCK that thing pulls in The Superbowl on clear nights) on the roof and I've installed radios in my own and my parents cars so you can be anywhere in the valley and get in contact with eachother without needing the phone. Also I took the chance and redeemed a "One free month of SiriusXM radio" voucher I won somewhere before it ended up expiring. Gave me the Basic package (usually $15/month) but I still had to pay a $25 activation fee. Go figure. There is an ancient Panasonic CR-SRF100 in the car (2002, two-piece unit with a potato sized antenna) I mainly used for playing MP3's via the FM injector. I've never actually seen it working and it's 15 years old but I registered it and ten minutes later it was working. So, im trying to get a 100% positive on of the fan clutch on my diesel is bad. Its hard to hear it due to a loud exhaust, though i hear a whir at highway speeds. It rarely, if ever, fully heats up, even in 100F temps. It has a thermal clutch. I tried spinning the fan, engine cold, 70F day. Very difficult to turn, had to force it to move at all. From what i understand, a lot of sites say you should basically only feel fluid friction. This feels like the clutch is locked and i am forcing it to spin.

God, I hate that channel
I like 90s on 9 for good music, or Pop2k for music from my time in high school.
I have satellite radio at work, we listen to a lot of shit. 80s, 90s, pop2k, ozzys boneyard, octane, lithium, and whatever the tom petty stations is. I can sing along to most of the 90s and pop2k, but the 80s. God there was a lot of shit music in the 80s. Some good music sure, but a loooot of shit.
