Kind of how I am. I'm not a heavy drinker after growing up with an alcoholic step-mother to-be at one point in time and seeing basically every grandparent I've ever had battle some form of alcoholism. Though mostly minor ones. But, I have drank since I was 16 and first visited Europe, and the taste stuck. I'm the weird one that enjoys the taste of alcohol, not the effects.
Anyways, this thread is starting to feel a bit too much like that other A organization. Any idea how difficult it would be to add power steering to my truck? I'm getting tired of the upper body workout to try to back out of my drive way each morning.
I've had a 4 gallon batch of mead going for almost 3 months. gonna bottle it at the end of the month
On topic of booze, I've never drank in my life, not a drop, split between personal/family reasons and not wanting to rely on alcohol to have a good time or converse confidently. (21 by the way)
Ironically I teethed on beer cans while I rolled around in a fisher price car when I was a wee gaffer.
Never done any sort of drugs or smoked insurprisingly, I have taken some gnarly pre-workout combinations that should be illegal though :v:
Mom is an alcoholic, it has made me steer away from it as a regular thing for sure, but I will have a nice beer with dinner if me and some pals go out. I drink fairly rarely now, usually when I'm on a little vacation with friends or something like that. I get drunk a few times a year when we all meet up, it's not very often. Like I said earlier, trying to get in shape, so it'd be counter productive.
110% will not touch any drugs, though, nor smoke. I more or less completely avoid anyone who does, aside from like, one of my gradeschool friends who developed a habit for it, but he's not really the stereotypical stoner who's in your face about it so I give it a pass. Maybe I'm biased because my uncles literally rotted their brains out on god knows what, but I can't stand 98% of users I've met.

Uh. From the way my father put it to me when we were installing everything required on the Dart and I asked a similar question, the way he put it was: It's really not that bad if it's a vehicle that could come with it as an option, but if you're by chance working on something old enough as to where it would be more of, I guess an "aftermarket" thing due to it not or wasn't an option, it can be a pain in the ass. I'd imagine most trucks would be simple enough?
What kind of trugh?
I have a beer every other day or so, sometimes a shot of whiskey or rum. I've never been drunk. Lost my favorite uncle to liver failure from alcoholism, never want to get that way ever.
I drink a beer once every two months maybe and then only if the social setting is having them. Its not due to any kind of disposition, i just dont really feel a need to have one all that often. I used to live with 4 other people in a huge 5 bedroom house on the water on 5acres with a private driveway and we had parties a lot. And i spent some time getting drunk and partying and then got over it. I only ever got super wasted once. To the point where i passed out. I remember my roommate asked me for a ride to work in the morning because the only car that was going to be around was the Ranger and it was a manual. He couldnt drive stick. I woke up in the morning, climbed in the truck, looked at him and said theres no way i could drive. I was still trashed. I dont remember how he got to work, but i passed back out in the truck, and then i just didnt like how i felt then so i decided to just keep it moderate from then on.
I don't tend to drink much these days. Got all my heavy "get rekt" drinking out of my system years ago.
My dad is/was a heavy alcoholic, and his liver is basically shot. Hes at the point if he drinks even a little it'll kill him. He is the reason I don't drink regularly, and why I won't ever.
But when I do drink it's usually honey whiskey, rum or bushmills.
I figure if my friends chain smoking alcoholic dad is still doing alright at 50, and i drink half as much as gim and ill live till 100. I dont actively do any drugs, but i rarely turn down a puff or two of the party pipe. Ive got a friend or two that doesnt drink because theyve had mild problems with in the past, and good for them, but most days i have either a beer or mixed drink or two, and i get reasonably drunk every other week or so. It works for me.
o shit

Find out what exact part is broken and fix/replace?
It's either one of the connectors to the defroster "strip" on the rear window, or the relay (or if really old or simple car, then the switch)

No, that comes later if I don't pay the fine I got for my accident :downs:
I fixed my boost leak! Car does 40mph rolling burnouts now!
I also made a video of making the boost leak tester,

all the "strips" on the window are worn out
Basically like like in this video:

but across the whole window and all of the strips
Pretty good idea on the tester, your a bit quiet though. That or the mic on your camera isn't that sensitive.
That setup would also work with a smoke maching for testing for other leaks, you can use some threaded pipe and a cigarette for the smoke if you're careful, so as not to shoot the cig into the intake. Theres a vid on youtube this dude made doing just that. I think he used a water bottle or something similar.
I'll find and post it.

Hope they don't expect you to just poop out 1,200$. Here they will allow you to use a payment plan.

My new camera comes in tomorrow. This is off of my phone. It seems okay to me audio wise. My ears are really sensitive to noise so I talk quiet and have my volume really low all the time.
People yelling at their camera annoys me too. Haha.

It is repairable, but it's gonna be PITA to find all the cracks in the strips without a powerful lightsource and crawling around in the back of your car.
Something reserved for a summer day.

I'm fighting for my license pretty much. The money sucks but isn't really a problem, the losing of the license is unecessary and a huge issue.
I sent a long letter with a rejection of the punishment so another judge will look at it and judge me again.
I got around to testing the minibike with the larger rear wheel on it.
lil fucker does 47.3 now. I bet if I took the governor off it would do 55-60, and thats a cautious estimate.
When I bought my car it had tint on all but the windshield, when I removed it from the rear window I tore it off not realizing the strips would come off. Its all but totally gone. So now I need to find a place that sells the repair stuff kit. I belive it's like painted on copper. O'Reillys has it for 15 bux but I wonder if copper headgasket stuff would work, unless it chemicals in it would outgas or it would have poor continuity.
Looks like I'll have to get some and test it. I've also seen that new "draw your own circuit" pen but that seems to be silver or aluminum and I don't think would last or work well.

I know for DUIs the ticket is supposed to be 1,5 times your monthly salary, with a minimum of 10k NOK (though they are supposed to account for the convicted's ability to pay) Don't know if that applies to the law Ldesu broke, but he can apply for a payment plan or an extension.

I know there existed kits for really old cars that didn't have rear defrosters from the factory, but it might be better to swap out rear window from another car (or new one)

Have you looked into having the suspension shortened? I imagine with you working on cars it would be rather hard to do your job without a license.

do you know if there are any larger scale repair kits? I wouldn't really mind doing all the strips anyway
