Ive got a 30 year old 7.3 idi, its a non turbod diesel. Probably not the same experience though. Just drive it like you stole it, its a rental.

Jesuz the repair cost would probably be as much as another car at that point.
Pic dump of the coolest thing I have seen all year... so far anyway.

Fully Functional as far as real world stuff.
Then here we have a damaged piston out of a Chevy Trailblazer with the straight 6. Don't burn coolant kids.

Looks a hell of a lot like the one I've seen in my old town, Salem, NH. I haven't seen it around town for a couple years now, but I always remember seeing it parked in the same driveway each time I went down this backroad to go to work or school.

So day 1 of my move to Arizona is done. 9 cops spotted in 4 hours. Out of Ohio, tomorrow I pick up my cousin who is coming a long for the ride, and we're off through the great plains. The Volvo has been good so far. And thank God it's a station wagon, or else I'd never get all my shit down with me in a simple manner.
I've seen that HHR Ecto 1 toodling around Burbank before. It was pretty cute. Haven't seen the real Caddy version though.

Remember to gain speed before you get to the hills, and not let off the throttle no matter what.
Yes, basically drive it like you stole it.
That thing has no power or torque, expect a lot of angry down shifts and swearing

I once had the link to a blog where they regularly made 1 good car out of 2 wrecked cars with a shitload of cutting and welding + some occasional sheet metal.

Essentially the same as driving a turbodiesel without a intercooler on a very hot and dry day.
did an alignment and some small stuff.
Really tired at this point, considering going driving first, then painting it.

Found out just a bit ago my transmission mount it outright broken, hence the noise I heard yesterday and the insane "bang" I heard when shifting to reverse or drive. Likely because my front mount had been broke for almost 2 years now due to me being too broke to replace it.
Gonna have the front and trans mount by around 2 today at cost of 144~ bux.
Having a damn near one off car is rough on the wallet man.

What kind of car is this? it sounds much more expensive to own that either of the Benzes I've had.
Suzuki swift maybe? Out of those dealers you've listed I'd probably get a fiesta personally, but since you already own one I'm just going to go right ahead and assume you've considered that :v
I'm not really fond of Suzukis for the most part, they just come off as cars for old people. The new Swift looks okay and the interior looks a lot better than the older ones but I'd need to test drive one before deciding on one. The new Fiesta looks decent as well but I wouldn't be able to get one for a price that would work for me, in a decent spec anyway. Ideally I'd want to finance about £10k or something like that, and the only way to do that is to get something a little older. Your suggestion of a Polo is a good one though, a 2012 model or something like that would be very nice because it'll have all the nice modern features, with the added bonus of being a VW so spares are abundant and cheap (very important to me as I worked in auto parts for a while, I know what brands are a bastard to get a hold of).
Plus they're very smart looking cars, they come in 5 door models, tons of engines and trims, and the VW alloy fitment is really common so I could easily get a nice set of alloys for it too.

I wouldn't mind a early 90's Alto since that's essentially a Japanese Mini by size and handling (not the awful BMW MINI huge), and that it's possible to easily swap in a 5 speed gearbox and 1.3L engine that can be pepped up from a korean shitbox.

Those aren't going to be your track wheels, are they? They don't really suit the e36 imo.
What kind of car is this? it sounds much more expensive to own that either of the Benzes I've had.
Its a 1995 Honda Accord with the C27A4 V6 in it. That engine was only in the car for 3 years, so parts are a bit harder to get and no salvage yards really have them. The only 2 others I've seen are on the road.
And the transmission is completely a one off, the MPZA. The only other car to have similar engine and trans stuff is the same few years NSX, like clutch has. The C27 and C30 share block designs but not heads as mine is SOHC and the C30 is DOHC with Vtec.
Those aren't going to be your track wheels, are they? They don't really suit the e36 imo.
Yea they are....if I had any budget whatsoever then I could get other rims but I dont.
Not to mention I'd rather stick to 17inch (this is 18). But 17 inch slicks are almost impossible to get (used). And as slicks only last a single day, I can't drop 1200$ on a set of slicks every time. 18inch however is plenty. I just have to make due with what I have.
btw, what kind of rims would you guys like to see on the e36?
[editline]2nd September 2017[/editline]

Also some other awesome news.
I found someone with molds of the original E36 supertouring front fenders. These cars ran on 8j 19inch wheels!...however Supertourers were only produced as 4 door sedans. So they don't fit coupe's. And nobody has ever made them

I'll be making partial replica's of the super touring fenders, then cross-match those with my current ones. Hack em up and make a new fender with the massive wheelspace of the supertouring but fitting on a coupe.
This probably sounds pretty boring but I'm really exited to see what that will look like.

EDIT
It looks like an Aston/Bentley but it has these three chevrons in the center and is slightly different overall. I am thinking some rare or uncommon exotic care manufacturer or even a kit?
Looks like an Aston Martin emblem on the hood
Holy FUCK that is a HUGE meet, with some of my all time favorite cars! Thank you for sharing, and amazing job on the pictures, the colors and everything are great!
I have a strong feeling that R34 is a R32 with a bodykit. The only other explanation is it was smuggled in to Florida, the land of the most corrupt DMV. Can supposedly get almost anything registered there.
oops, just bought a brand new ford focus hatch
Driving through Missouri is misery, and I feel Kansas is going to be worse.

kart turned me on to these the other day, I think they'd look good, especially if you could find the 16 inchers they discontinued
but tbf if I was running a race car I'd just get some cragars. they're cheap and strong. maybe not the lightest wheels around but you aint gonna cry if you bust them. idk about you but I'm willing to lose 6 or 7 seconds off my ring time to save $1500 every time I smash up my wheels
Maybe this does not fit here but, some asshole put his caravan on fire right next to my company and private cars on the parking lott on Friday. There was a couple of small explosions from the caravan so i was very worried about anything hitting my cars but they made it undamaged.
But yesterday i heard a trucks outside so i went to my kitchen and i saw firetrucks outside again on the same fucking spot but this time it was burning in one of the garages ( You can see the garage doors in the video above). So i got very worried and somewhat panicked because my private car was in the garage this time so i went down running and it was burning inside the garage 2 doors from where my car is. I asked for permission to go to check my car if it's ok but i saw no visible damage but he told me to to start the car because since there was so much smoke it might destroy the AC and some other stuff and it's better if i call my insurance company first and ask about what i should do but he said that i would probably need to tow my car to a place where they can clean it up from the smoke.
What's more fucked up is the cops told me that both the caravan and the garage that burnt up in less than 24 hours between belongs to the same person.
To be honest it has become very risky lately to own a car here because some fucker might burn it any moment.
