Even for being slightly gnarly I think they do look better. You can probably make them more presentable, I don't think anyone expects race car wheels to be scuff free :v:
Made the finishing touches to my dashboard. Labeled all the stuff.

Never...ever ever touch the tart
in the UK there would be 2 possible outcomes of pushing the tart button, either you get a delicious pastry or a scantily clad woman

The offset is actually better then the other rims, the rear can go a bit lower now.
Also took a once in a lifetime chance to clean the workspace :v:

Don't forget to check the elbow grease levels now and then.
if i posted pictures of every project I had going it'd eat up all my bandwidth
probably the reason I never get anything done tbh, I have 10 projects going right now and I've only made any real progress on 2 of them lately
then I get to procrastinating or working on other things and forget where that bolt goes or forget where I put that part
All this talk about progress made me decide to post some pictures myself

My neighbor has been a great help as he used to patch up cars for a living, couldn't have done it without him.
Hoping to get it resprayed in the next two weeks
talking about progress, i tried to clean out the garage to get some space around my e30 to work on it.
yeah no way man, so much fucking shit in the garage that i'm not allowed to just dump outside because it'll be ruined(meanwhile i have two engines sitting outside in the rain on trailers because hey, fuck me right)
gg never get anywhere e30.
picture of aforementioned MY17 Focus hatchback i picked up

While you guys are all doing cool shit, I'm trying to sell my attic full of 80s Mercedes S-Class parts to fund my big brake swap on my 90s Mercedes C-Class.

That looks much, much better man. Congrats!
I am going to try body work in the coming months, they actually sell patch panels for my car, something that I havnt had befor.Looking at videos and reading articles it seems within my capabilities.
Wish me luck.
Ever have one of those days where EVERYTHING (no exceptions) goes wrong?
First of all I'm working beneath the car at night, so I'm wearing this light on my head so I can see something. For some fucking reason they decided that it would be useful for this specific light to emmit a SOS signal in morse code by flashing the light. Okay...sure. But then here's the kicker. Every time I hit my head, the god damn thing goes into EMERGENCY mode and starts flashing it's god damn overly bright lights in this tiny cramped space.
So into the trash it went.
Moving on, I somehow manage to ultrafuck some washer from a bolt that's between the rear subframe (axle) and the body. Great, now I have to remove THE ENTIRE FUCKING SUBFRAME. Which in retrospect will fuck up my alignment again.
Okay, might as well get started then....
THEN FOR SOME REASON MY TORQUE WRENCH DECIDES TO EUTHANISE ITSELF. At this moment you gotta wonder, is it time to stop?
So at last, I give in. Lets go home right?
NOPE, in the emotional death of my torque wrench my floor jack has decides to give up on living.
That's when I just turned off the lights, left the crime scene and pretended all of it never happened.

Oh lord. I hate when random tool breakage ends a day of work.I need another torque wrench last one is gone due to toll theft.
I had to fill 4 month old near brand new engine mounts with window weld because they were so shit that they allowed the entire engine and trans to hit the passenger side frame rail and pop out the drivers side axle whenever I turned left at more than half lock. I replaced each axle twice because of this. These are the same exact mounts that Autozone, Orilley's and Advance all carry for 4x the price what I paid...
One of these mounts was made so poorly that it completely ruined a mount bolt that I had to buy from the dealer for $14 because a previous mechanic stripped the shit out of the head. I then had to use that old mount bolt, cut the welded nut out of the engine mount with a Dremel which still wasn't small enough and use a shock fork nut instead.
Oh, my Civic runs finally but now the world is on fire around here so I don't feel like driving the non-AC car. I've been beating the hell out of it and as far as I can tell have got around 35-36mpg with like half highway and half city on premium gas. Really excited if I did since that means it should easily break 40mpg highway and make like "30hp" more. The stock P08 JDM D15B fuel/ign maps copied over a dyno tune for a stock D16Z6 seems to work amazingly. The vtec crossover is nearly unnoticeable too which is kinda funny but most desirable since that means it's right where the cam profiles overlap in torque. The stock OEM D15B P08 tune is apparently corrupt/incompatible and would cut ignition if the speedo registered over 0 as well as misfiring like crazy.

great car, not a fan of the review
its not a sendoff to panthers, they made panthers over 8 years after it
says great things about marauder, wont say great things about vic
makes fun of all vic owners for being cop wannabe spergs, the marauder owner had a state police license place cover
So there's several huge wildfires burning around the PNW right now. It's been Smokey as hell all summer, like a really shitty smog. Right now it looks like it's snowing from all the ash falling from the sky. I made the mistake of turning my vent on and got an eye full of ashes.

Is that what made the sky all hazy yesterday??
It was so dark outside during the day you could literally stare at the sun for a few seconds without blinding yourself. It reminded me when Canada was on fire... Welp. Guess I was right, unfortunately.
Jeez 5 mpg city? The big ass Ford Excursion gets better mpg [sp]Now I don't feel bad for wanting one still :)[/sp]
Granted, this one is not stock. I would expect the stock ones to make the mid-10s. :v:
Jeez 5 mpg city? The big ass Ford Excursion gets better mpg [sp]Now I don't feel bad for wanting one still :)[/sp]
That figure is total horseshit. Even on a race tuned supercharged 4.6 4v you'll get at least 10.
[editline]5th September 2017[/editline]
It really bothers me when RCR talks facts about non-stock versions of stock cars without any sort of disclaimer.
It's as stupid as Jeremy Clarkson's 4mpg Ford GT.
Yeah, I had trouble believing that 5mpg claim. I have 3.55 gears and the worst I've ever gotten all city was 13.5 mpg
[editline]5th September 2017[/editline]
With old shitty tires
marauders get around 17 MPG city stock 5 MPG is ridiculous unless it's running a full out drag package hell my 414CI F150 gets 12MPG and thats on 38's
