So I was looking on craigslist and I think I've narrowed down what I want down to either a
1999 Toyota Camry with only 90000 miles on it for only 750 dollars

Or
A 2009 Chevy Malibu with 116K miles on it for 2000

Which should I Jump on? I was leaning more toward the Camry because I've heard those cars are stupidly reliable, but the Malibu is much newer and nicer looking, are 2009 Malibus 2000 dollars good? Will it last me a good long while?
My baby. 2012 320d

I'm 99% sure that the malibu is a scam ad, it's right in the year/price range that they're typically listed for.
Nevermind Malibu's like that blue book for 4x the ads asking price
[editline]8th March 2017[/editline]
The Camry should be reliable, but boring. At 90k miles it's probably due for service soon.

that's a 2010 malibu, and it's at a dealer in Mableton, GA for $7999
get the camry.
[editline]8th March 2017[/editline]
a camry with 90k on it will last you another 110k minimum. the first thing to go out will be the transmission, throw another one in and grab a few extra miles out of it. you won't kill the engine unless you're an idiot
[editline]8th March 2017[/editline]
I wouldn't get a 4 cylinder malibu anyway
So these tiny camera looking things have been tied to all of the lamp-posts at intersections along a road near my suburb. I'm thinking they might be the 'covert' anti-hoon cameras that the gov keeps spruiking about.

Look at the intersection next time you pull up. If there aren't loops cut into the pavement, they're the detection system for switching the lights. Unless you mean they've been strapped on recently, in which case it's time to pay someone with a nice ass to hang out your window for a couple nights.
Smaller insignia TVs at BestBuy are 12v. If they have a 'brick' for the wall plug it should be 12v output. I think up to about 30" or so.
i used a couple in limos in the past!

Sweet, I might go look at this little shit today:

Depending on if I think 19" is small enough for a truck camper.
Nice bike btw
is there a place for diecasts here? cos there's this

Yeah recently attached at signaled and non-signaled intersections, so it could maybe be some advanced traffic algorithm learning machine, but there have been lots of skid marks (from cars you sicko) left on that road in the past few months sooo idk.
Might just oil up the tyres on my BMX and try and do a skid near one
Care to enlighten us to why?
I can understand if it has a super low lockup and your just making drag but when you have a turbo car don't you want a high stall converter to make that turbo spool?
If i were drag racing yes. It has a 2200-2500 stock stall. They were a bit different. Itll do fine. But the other converter had a weird ring gear from a police car application or 1960-61 valiant, or canadian 1960-1966 car that uses a dorect drive expensive, hard to get starter. So i said f that and put the other converter on.
some cunt rear-ended my gf. Was probably texting...

Really didn't need this shit, the guy who hit them said he was still going at about 40 to 50km/h
I haven't gotten the chance to inspect the car in person, but this would seem more like 15-20km/h tops...
either way fuck

Im gonna see if i can find an lcd controller for it once i get home so i can check the model number. I knew there was a reason i kept this thing around.

You know.... I didn't even pay attention to the fact that the torque converter was your flexplate. That's rather goofy.

Biggest problem is adapter cable between LCD panel and one of those universal Chinese LCD driver boards, and maybe backlight.
But if it's old enough to have a CCFL backlit panel, then driver boards for that exists too.
Why am I not in the OP? :(
I have now taken apart this Blazer enough that I am incredibly good at remembering/guessing bolt sizes. The only thing left for me to conquer is the engine, which I hope I never have to do. What a ton of a work it was to get the power steering pump in, but good god does it feel good now.
Ultimately if I plan on keeping this vehicle I'll have to replace the steering box.. but thats a decision for another time.

U never pm'd me a photo AS PER INSTRUCTIONS OF THE OP

I will update op once I get back from the hospital. Mom just has quadruple heart bypass this morning.
Holy shit dude, good luck to her. Like all the luck.
ahhhh thanks for the wishes. She will be fine this time around, it's just how long will it last for is all Im worried about.
That is about four times the bypasses my very sturdy grandma has gone through, so she must be pretty darn tough to get through all of that!
I will wish her good health, even though I am sure she will be fine : - )
I picked up a 2002 Grand Marquis today with 80k miles on it for $900, it got hit in the front pretty good but a 4.6 with 80k miles and driven by some elderly folks, I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to pull the engine and swap it into the Vic and any other misc parts that need replacing on the Vic. Then I'll probably part the body out and sell the transmission and that should help offset the cost pretty well.
Id say keep the marquis trans as a spare if you have the space. Cant hurt to have a backup, especially an expensive thing like that.

Well my current transmission is a rebuilt TR-3650 from a Mustang. I would hope that I don't need to swap it out any time soon. But I didn't think about keeping it, which might be a good idea...
keep the brake parts too, maybe wheels and tires if you've got a place to put them.

or ball joints and tie rods if they're better than the ones you've got
