The older g35's and 350z's had major trans issues, do your research. But they are great cars, the g35 "s" is a absolute blast to drive. Ya don't need any mods for them cars, they are pretty well rounded. Maybe wheels and good coilovers.
yeah 240s are selling for way more than they're worth since drift kiddies started buying them. same deal as ae86 corollas, they found a market and now people buy the shit out of them. z cars are kinda like corvettes for people having their mid life crisis at 28 but g35s are pretty solid rides that don't need much in the way of modification. a little more power couldn't hurt but other than that they're pretty damn good.
I've only ridden in two of em one a g35s and a 350 with cam and stuff. Butt dyno said not worth the money for all that expensive shit. The stock vq goes plenty fast enough to burn tires and hall ads down the interstate to play with anything you want.
Reminds me, I put tires on a 2014 Q60 a while ago. Put aside my biases towards 350/G35/etc. drivers for a little and took it out after we were done. Drove it around a little behind the building, nothing crazy since it's not mine ofc, but wow. It's the thing that sold me on Infiniti maybe not being shit after all. I dunno much about them, but if I didn't want my one car that I have to DD to be a SUV/Truck, and I had the money of course, I would love to have one. :v: Probably the nicest thing that some dickhead with MUCH more money than sense has brought in, just behind the 2016 S6. These people. :downs:
My buddy has a g37, it's pretty nice. One bad winter and now he wants to sell it and buy a tundra. :v: [editline]10th March 2017[/editline] Who would have thought summer tires on a rwd sports coupe would be shit in the snow

So i've decided to do a 3d replica of Stubby Bob, and while doing research, i came across this thing. Pro: new power steering pump is baller Con: it highlights that other things are worn and leaking
This entire page is cursed. PT cruiser, SSR... Please no. I'd rather try to forget that that period of car styling ever existed
i don't get the hate for SSR/HHR's. They're dogshit underneath, but i always thought they looked pretty cool
I generally dislike a lot of GM's decisions but I do appreciate the outlandish and risky designs with the HHR, SSR and new Thunderbird. First and foremost you design and build a car to sell as well as it can, and those were pretty niche. Same thing goes for hideous cars like the Nissan Juke... I'd never buy one, but I love seeing weird and wacky shit actually on the road and past prototype phase.

Or maybe Im mistaken but there is one that looks just like it there. [editline]11th March 2017[/editline] The Vics suspension is falling apart. I carwled under it last night and its completely missing a front sway bar link, and there must be something else going on too because I get occasional random clunks while driving, not even while hitting bumps, and about a quarter of the time I turn I hear and feel CLUNKCLUNKCLUNKCLUNKCLUNKCLUNK, the speed of which is depending on the speed of the wheels/drivetrain.
Check your balljoints

Turns out passenger side swaybar link had snapped off at the bottom and was hitting the rim in left turns :v: But yeah, sounds like a balljoint.
And if they have torn boots, replace them immediately.
if they have torn boots, replace the entire joint. if the boot is torn, shit's gotten into the joint itself and it's going to wear quicker. might as well just do the job properly from the start. it's worth doing both sides in one go too, if one side is gone then the other isn't going to be too far behind if it hasn't gone already
I had a clunk in corners that was dependent on the speed. It was dark and cold when i saw that the link was missing, it could be flopping around like a pool noodle under there.
So the rewiring is finished, a couple of times I asked myself why the fuck I ever started splicing the wires, but getting rid of the intake wire monstrosity was worth it.
I finally bought my first brand new car. Went through a couple choices and ended on the RS. Old: [t]http://i.imgur.com/179xPTY.jpg[/t] New: [T]http://i.imgur.com/G7bfJ8R.jpg[/T]
Did a head gasket over the last few days, woulda took one but I had to help my dad and fix another car issue next day. Went about as smooth as one would expect on a Neon. Pic dump: [t]http://i.imgur.com/L04deiH.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/8HakCzV.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/46tojQc.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/kTdpPNa.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/BIBI9dT.jpg[/t] Back together today and runs nicely. That cam lobe is wiped out and I can do nothing about it and the sparkplug tube just needed some love from my rubber mallet. And all that rust staining is a result of a bad "rad" cap. Now if I had an impact I could tighten the bolt for the harmonic balancer, so when it goes to the shop where it'll sit till it's sold, the guy that owns the place can hit it real quick.

After we're done with the bits of drywall and such in the interior, finishing the basement into a room, and putting on a new roof it'll be worth a good bit it sounds like. Super excited. The title search came back OK too.. closing might happen before the scheduled 31st of this month it seems.
dang my rear window defroster is busted, not a big problem now the winter is basically over. rear windshield swap, probably, unless someone knows some hoodoo magic to rewire and relaminate a rear windshield.
Clutch. You should buy this. To be clear, the body on this car does need some work, the rear quarter panel has a dent, and there are some rust spots around the wheel well. There is no major rot on the car, but it certainly needs a full restoration. For the full history of the car you can see my build log. It is a full running and driving car using a 2.4L caravan block, SRT-4 internals. 420A head, Stratus intake manifold, SRT turbofold all run by MS3 with an unused MS3x card. The transmission is a MA5 with a Jeep Liberty Bellhousing and dual mass flywheel with a Chevy 2.2L clutch and pressure plate. Essentially this is a fully running turbo dodge RWD swap....in a 77 Celica body you can choose to keep or scrap. Included with the motor are these planned upgrades: Holset HY-35 Turbo and SS SRT-4 turbo manifold, Fidanza 2.2/2.5l Aluminum flywheel(the plan being to replace the ring gear on this flywheel with the Liberty ring gear to enable starter engagement, Also included is a Dakota 2.2/2.5 bellhousing as an alternative way to get the flywheel working). Also incuded is a Custom box intake manifold based off a 2.0 DOHC neon base and a 60mm Jeep TB. The only reason I am selling is to fund one final project I want to build."

Went and test rode my SMC today and holy shit it was scary. I almost binned it right out of the barn, then again after 10 metres, and when I finally got to the asphalt I locked up the front wheel. And then there's the power. Hooolyyy shit. I rode the YBR125 earlier and thought it was rather nice and quick. This was just from a different world. I only managed to open the throttle a tiny bit and even then it felt like it was going to wheelie if I opened it any more. I felt all of the weight being put on the rear wheel and it really freaked me out. I turned around and accelerated for what felt like a couple seconds and suddenly I was doing 60! It was quite like when I drove the C4 'Vette a couple years ago. I don't know how much power it has or how it reacts, I just know it has the potential to turn around and dropkick me in the face which makes me underdrive/underride making it sorta difficult to drive in its own way. One thing I know is I won't ride it again until I'm fully legal, with a license and the right amount (about 1/2 of what it is now) of horsepower

I don't think I've ridden a KTM that didn't feel like it was trying to kill you the entire time, but it's pretty satisfying to master one and damned if it doesn't put a massive terrified grin on your face. 125s are good to learn on but I don't think I could go back to one now
