So uhh..... one sensor was pissing me off purely because I didnt like the way the wires were routed, so this happened.

Took all the wires out for shit thats no longer used on my truck, right from the pin, no loose wires. Re wrapped it, and tucked everything away so its hidden, glory of the old diesel is it only needs like 3 wires to run, bar the ones for sensors and the alternator as well.
Picking up another truck on saturday (whats new lol)
It's a 2015 with a 85kWh battery, All Glass Panoramic Roof, Black Leather Seats, Tech Package w/ AP, and Rear Facing Seats.
Not exactly sure as how it got into an accident but we bought it from Insurance Auto Auction(Auto Auction obviously). It arrived without a key. Luckily, the sun roof was slightly open so I was able to remove the 4 screws and completely removed the top glass and got inside. I was able to get the address from the previous owner and found their information and emailed them to see if they had the key fob. They mailed it out to me and didn't even want to take my money for the shipping charges.
From there I had the front frame rails pulled back into original specs. Most of the body parts were easy to find. I had a difficult time getting my hands on a windshield, brackets that the bumper mounts to, fender(wheelwell) liners, and the all the frunk trim. Eventually found a guy in LA that was able to get me pretty much anything I needed. Just had to pay for the parts, his time and the shipping costs.
Both autopilot and supercharging works. Both worked from the beginning but after putting about 1,000 miles on it with, I had to remove the front bumper to install some brackets. After that, autopilot stopped working. Just needed to calibrate the front radar. After that, it's been working great. No issues at all since then.
I had to do all this without the help from the service centers or certified body shops.
"My parents want me to sell everything except the Bronco"
ARE YOU DAFT
tbh I'd sell most of them. what am I gonna do if a maserati or an alpine break down? the corvette, the ford, and the datsun are the only ones that will be easy to keep on the road. maybe the m3 and the '77 911 would be doable but the espada for example would be ruinously expensive to keep in working order
I wouldn't sell. If I could find a garage big enough for cheap enough I would find a museum to hold them for me wile on display or something. people would bend over backwards to have some of those cars just on display.
I'd drive the loving shit out of that m3 tho.
I'd definitely sell the exotics just because I really don't want to be the one paying for upkeep and maintenance when they start going to shit.
Datsun, ferd, chebby, and heck, I'd probably even take a bmw since it's free. :v:
Maybe some of you can help me.
This is a E36 316i fuel tank.
The Blue part is where the pump is, and a sender? No idea what that means. It's got 2 connectors, each with 2 wires. Has 2 connectors for a hose. One of them being the pump.
Then there's the white part, with a single connector with 2 wires. Also has a hose connection.
Now my questions are, there are 3 total hose connections. Which one is the feed, return and what the the other one for?
And lastly, I can't for the love of god find out anything about the wiring. Like, I'm trying to hook them up, but can't figure out if it's just 12v + and -. (Fused obv). And what the other connectors do, (fuel guage, and what type of connection)

Hah, fucking tensioners.
A plastic 0.13 cents tensioner once broke in my friends Audi A4 2009.
Fucked everything up, bent valves n shit. Over 4000$ in damages

the only weird one I'd keep is the alpine just because alpines are a bunch of french parts thrown together anyway. I'd make no attempt to keep it in factory original condition since the only thing it has going for it is its looks

For reverse most likely
I hope it's not the tensioner, I just did that and the belt less than a year ago and it was a $180 (seriously) part thanks to it being stupidly over complicated. It's not just a spring, it's got a fluid damper on it for some reason.
I believe you both are referring to timing belt tensioners. What he is having issues is a serpentine issue belt issue tensioner issue issue issue issue.
I WILL INSSUE
sshhhh
All this talk of tensioners is making me nervous.
It's all good so far, but we might have to do the timing chain guides in my Xterra soon. Seems like people run into issues with them, if they do, around 130k or so. Almost there, good so far, haven't heard any whining yet. But every squeak is giving me an aneurysm thinking about it.
That and the rattly heat shielding but I have completely given up on stopping that, because if I hunt down every rattle I'm going to go legitimately insane. :v:
After that though, Im good to go until like 250k allegedly, so I kind of just want to get it over with.
This is why I drive a car with a timing chain. :v

GOBS OF NITROUS!
Nah, I'm too much of a pansy to hurt my engine, i'd be wiring it to the torque converter lockup. I have to wire in another button somewhere for OD, perks of a reverse manual valvebody.
You know what i absolutely hate about eBay?
After all these years, there are still no protections in place for sellers.
Every 6 months, like clockwork, i get a buyer that tries to scam me.
Sometimes it's "My item was damaged by shipping, refund TWICE of what i paid!"
The newest is a buyer bought a season pass for a game, USED IT, then claims it was not what he wanted. (Physically unable to return, wants a return anyway, clearly a scam. Checked with Sony, the code was used just after he got it.)
Every case i have opened, they side with the buyer. No matter how much evidence i provide.

Be a real shame if you informed your bank whatever charge ebay incurs is fraud and they got charged back for it. :payne:
I get all up in arms over that nonsense. Paypal with their magical thinking 'fines,' ebay with their buyer protection incompetence, etc. If I don't authorize you, case per case and regardless of any uneforceable EULA, ToS, etc. to charge my account, you're committing fraud and I'm taking my money back. Period.
Companies that are too big to just get suddenly and unceremoniously shut down over this shit piss me off. They get awful creative in deciding what they can do with money that doesn't belong to them.
New blog entry about the racecar :v:
Didn't get to do too much lately, mostly been waiting for parts...
Did install the new BMW Motorsports oilpump. BUT as it turns out they supplied the wrong sprocket so the chain is too tight. (And it hits the oil-pan) So I gotta wait for the new sprocket to arrive.

The past 2 weeks I've been waiting to receive the correct pressure plate. At first I ordered the wrong one, then they delivered the wrong one. And now it's out of stock :suicide:
The rest of the clutching is brand spankin new
-Fresh 4.4KG flywheel (9.9lbs)
-New pressure bearing thing? (Whatever its called in english)
-Custom made 6-puck unsprung sinterplate clutch
-E30 starter to fit the flywheel

In the meanwhile tried to install the polyester dashboard but found out it doesnt fit with the original cluster. SO for now I'm going to run the OEM dashboard. And when I get a digital racing dash/screen I'll mount the lightweight polyester dashboard. But not now as these displays are like 500usd used.

And lastly, made an effort to start the whole wiring gig. Lotsa reading and figuring out shit. Made an excel sheet to keep track of everything, which connectors I need to make and what to wire.

All in all, nothing too exciting, hopefully things will pick up when I get the pressure plate and can hook up the engine.
This is why I drive a car with a timing chain. :v
So you can have chain guides go bad on you after 130k miles? Your chain should also have a tensioner, which can theoretically go bad.

Hmm. I thought you had an electric trans? I was thinking about changing my Daytona over to a RMVB but then I'd need to figure out how to lock it up. It'd be kind of stupid to hook it up to the relay. Hit it at a dead stop and stall the engine, heh.

dont have much to add other than your build looks sweet, but that the part in english is called a throwout bearing
Fuck man, when I start getting my savings back up again I think I'll try and get a hold of the dude I sold my car to. I didn't have the money or the space at the time I sold it to repair the damage. I miss my Firebird so damn much and the guy I sold it to just has it sitting in his yard full of old cars.

I've liked the newer Cadillacs for a while but never realized they were actually in my price range. I think I got a pretty good deal at 16k (~50k miles) for this one.
