sweet mercy, you poor child
My 40 year old minibike has a bigger engine than your car
How do you manage?
The CC in 206 CC stands for Coupé Cabriolet, not the size of it's engine.
o
Lol the CC stands for coupe cabriolet. It's not a 206cc motor, that wouldn't even be able to move the car. It's probably the 1.4L

Fucking missed the new page god dammit
Anyone here ever seen a car that broke their coolant sensor's connector off the expansion tank? Because mine did. Idfk how, but it did. So now I get to pay $150 for a new expansion tank and a new connector. I called Audi up trying to figure out how the fuck that happens, turns out they had a really bad batch of expansion tanks made at some point and a-fucking-parently that just involves the stupid fucking molded in sensor being capable of leaking which results in a really fucking dope case of breaking the connector's brittle ass old plastic.
Bright side tho: I finally got around to replacing the bad relay in my hazard/turn relays and cleaned the turn signal stalk's contacts something fierce. No more clicking and for the handy price of $5 for a relay from digikey and, $6 for a can of contact cleaner and $4 for a can of compressed air, I get to avoid the ~$125 for a turn signal stalk, and ~$45 for a new hazard/turn relay box.
Audi's are expensive.
Audis indeed.. I went to swap a tire on my truck at my friend's shop today and there was an A6 with the V6 twin turbo, whole subframe, engine, trans, etc laying on the floor.
One turbo coughed its innards out through the exhaust. Welcome to a 20 hour book time job. $$$$

I once had a audi avatar. I found the new light of reliable automobiles.
I will still go back to the ol times in a heart beat. I bought a expansion tank off rockauto with the sensor built in when mine cracked around the moulded joint on my a6 c5. Onlything I bought dealer wise was the coolant hoses, because my hoses for the oil cooler swole up and broke.
Did the front right wheel bearing in my 97 MB c280, also ordered two more 15 inch monoblocks to complete the set!
I try to source from ebay, rockauto and if I really need to, ECS or the stealership. The expansion tank I had I got from rockauto and they sent me the one for the 2002+ c5's (my a6 is an 01) and they sent me a bad one at that. I just went with the one from ECS this time because the only dealership near me is in a different state and they wanted like $200 and it was going to take a month to ship it to me. I'm just not super car savvy either so I tend to get kinda fearful about buying parts and doing the work my self. I know the basics of how they work, and I've rebuilt dirtbike engines back when I raced motorcross in my high school days but idk, cars scare me a bit.
I love the car, really all I gotta do to it is figure out my washer fluid leak, re-solder the display on my dash, figure out my generic yellow oil sensor warning and replace/fix that, and the car's basically mint other than some cosmetic shit on the interior and a barely noticeable scratch on the front bumper that was there when I bought it. It occasionally throws a p1423 error code but I only get it once every few months and only if it's been pretty cold, idk what that's about, goes away on its own though so whatever.
So basically I probably just have to replace the sensor on the oil pan, and the display is just a big project. Fuck the washer fluid though, I have no desire to mess with that, weird ass tank shape and all.
"I think I should replace my shocks"
*needs special ones for LT trim*
*needs special ones for 4WD LT trim*
*the cheapest OEM one is white*
*black ones are $10 more expensive*

Hahaha the easiest thing on that list is the washer fluid tank. I bet you its leaking on the pump seals, they just slip right in and water can bypass them really easily. Just take you some rtv and smeer it all around the shaft and stick it back in. (take your fender liner out so you can see wat your doin)
FUCK the dash. I sent mine off to module masters and was fine with paying. I also sent my ABS module to them too. The only thing I resoldered was the Cruise Control module.
Dont be afraid of the Audi. Only be afraid of the prices for parts. There are litterly more posts on audiforums with step by step everythings known to man.

15 inch monoblocks? Can I get what you're smoking?
Monoblocks are those fat 5 spoke alloys, whatever you have isn't if it's 15 inches. Real monoblocks are 17"s minimum. Anyway, post some pictures.
Also I just realized I forgot you in my list of luxury car owners on the last page.

Is 'driving range' the distance until a critical engine issue occurs? Or a fuel refill if you're careful with it
So I was daydreaming during work today, because power training is boring stuff.
TE72 Corolla with a Volvo Redblock engine in it. Still a 4 banger, but with even more reliability, easier power, and about the same weight.

Well you're gonna have to.....
since I just got new tires x^)
I'll return with actual good pictures eventually, but it's raining and dark rn. I tend to take photos of assholes vehicles that park next to me or I park next to them because if they hit my car we're going to court straight up. Can have one of those I guess.

Oh and I have a shitty washed out facebook photo reupload from the time I spent like a week building and prototyping a fucking cdc to aux adapter only to find out the next day that Enfig makes a fucking pretty in-a-box one for like $80. The feeling of spending $200 on a prototype pcb, plus the week of work that I spent developing and making the damn thing, when I could have spent $80 on one pre-made. Eventually I'll probably buy the enfig one and swap them out because it's kinda ghetto looking in there, not that you can tell when I hid the entire thing behind the ESP switch area but still.

So yeah, better pictures eventually, probably when I replace the expansion tank whenever that fucker arrives.
And yeah the dash seems like a huge thing but I've done smaller solder work with shittier tools and I've got a solid electronics engineering background so of all the projects I find it the least daunting one haha, just the most time consuming since it'll take my car out of action for at least a few hours.

This stupid biker didn't even park their bike right, like 3/4 of it is still out in the road. Goddamn bike week. I can't wait for it to end.
It's possible that he was in there with multiple other bikes ahead of him, who have all left.
So why even try to nudge 1/8 of your bike into a parking spot instead of finding a new one in the entirely empty parking lot around the back of the Denny's
Should've tipped the fucker over and left. Serves them right tbh.
Should've tipped the fucker over and left. Serves them right tbh.
I would've at least moved it up further but all the coworkers I was going out with told me not to because apparently bikers don't like it when you touch their bikes, and it made sense because the pap smear who owned that one bike was eating at a booth with a window that was looking straight at his bike.
I swear, like people who ride motorbikes on their own are either really cool or really dickish, but the bikers who have the whole pack mentality should go ride their bikes into a brick wall one after the other.
