Any good sites on where to put on a full album of pictures? I've been really busy stripping my corrado, and building the new engine for the car.. Also i bought a Golf mk3 GTI 16v which was an absolute horror because of all the rot, and bad mending of the rust, so i've spent the last month repairing the whole goddamn car, and giving it some love. Cheers..
I missed you. Imgur. Don't ask me how to do it tho, because I have no fuckign idea. [editline]28th March 2017[/editline]
this hurts to read
It's a baby LS, Ain't gotta worry about it. This ain't no ford.
my Silverado has almost 300k on the plugs and I'm afraid to take them out because they'd surely just break at the thread. haven't swapped them since 75000 miles
Probably look something like the plugs from my moms truck [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/27FDA693-9BBE-48C3-9E1E-39851A275D34_zps3hebwiee.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/9F8FCDE9-EA9C-474B-8803-FF92460D6077_zpsirlnlclu.jpg[/thumb]

Are we posting super worn plugs now? [t]http://i.imgur.com/sPP0R3K.jpg[/t]
there's a difference between worn and destroyed by a lean condition [editline]28th March 2017[/editline]
Probably look something like the plugs from my moms truck [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/27FDA693-9BBE-48C3-9E1E-39851A275D34_zps3hebwiee.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/9F8FCDE9-EA9C-474B-8803-FF92460D6077_zpsirlnlclu.jpg[/thumb]
like I said, they're iridium and all 8 are firing. You guys donnot wanna see the plugs ibpulled out of the vic two years ago. Blown almost all of the tip. Ran like a blubbery missing bastard.

Nah, Ive beer "hold my beer" mechanich'ing that thing since Ive got it, and its worked fine. Bicepts is the only torque measuring devices I need. And Ive got a nasty history of underestimating tightness and stripping things.
and stripping things.
Nothing vice grips can't handle, this was out of a brake proportioning valve I pulled at a yard Sunday [t]http://i.imgur.com/X0MI4Vl.jpg?1[/t]
Saw a Toyota Supra today here. Wasn't unmolested but damn it was still sexy.
My Skylark looks even better when I have a pizza sign on it yes/no Like even though it's a Buick, I still feel like it fits the status quo for a pizza delivery vehicle given how old it is.
Nothing vice grips can't handle, this was out of a brake proportioning valve I pulled at a yard Sunday [t]http://i.imgur.com/X0MI4Vl.jpg?1[/t]
my O2 sensors were so boogered and crossthreaded that in order to install the spacers for them, I had to take a bench vice to the threads and ghetto self-tap it in.
I changed the plugs on my Vic almost a year ago with just a socket and ratchet. They were pretty fuckin bad.
For the record, my seditious plug went rogue six months later. The company car's waited... 8 before it activated? It was tapping lightly for a couple weeks before it got the NASA grant It's pretty openly talked about over on CVN
Yeah Ill agree mod motors are straight notorious for launching plugs, but moreso on the 5.4 than the 4.6. I know a guy with an expedition that shot off 3 within a two week span.
I closed on my house today. So.. I'm in debt!
Dude, that place looks awesome! Congratulations!
Maybe a stupid question, But I need some info. This is a random pic showing a starter engine on a BMW. Now there's the big wire-nut where the B+ cable goes. (Not attached on the pic) Then there's the 2 smaller wires, pointed out by the green arrows. Which are those? I'm thinking the thick black cable is ground? But shouldn't the starter have ground from being attached to the engine? Asking this because I need to manually wire a start button, and I'd like to keep myself from electrocuting myself or frying my shit
Black is usually ground yes, and as you say a starter is usually grounded on the engine. I guess it could be ground for the solenoid. Grab your multimeter, set it to resistance and measure between the two connections, if the reading starts out high and then goes down, you're dealing with the coil of the solenoid. You can also grab your 12V bench supply, apply 12V to the upper nut, and ground to where the starter mounts to the engine. If you hear a click the solenoid is also grounded to the engine. Otherwise move the ground over to the lower nut.
Woke up to a completely flat tyre. Jack car up and take wheel off. It appears the coil spring has fallen apart and a piece of it has pierced the tyre. I drove 200 miles yesterday, so I feel like I've been lucky in that I didn't have a catastrophic failure while driving at 80mph [editline]29th March 2017[/editline] I've called a chap out to change it for £40, the part costs about £20 so that's not too bad. [editline]29th March 2017[/editline] I can probably get a new tyre for about £40 as well
and I'd like to keep myself from electrocuting myself or frying my shit
I can re-assure you that you will not electrocute yourself. but basically do what Gulen said also remember to use a relay when wiring the solenoid
Maybe a stupid question, But I need some info. This is a random pic showing a starter engine on a BMW. Now there's the big wire-nut where the B+ cable goes. If you fuck this up and use the wrong wire out of the two you'll just have a starter button that doesn't do anything so don't worry about that.
I had a weird dream last night. My dad bought a racing steering wheel for my explorer it had like 20 buttons on it and everytime I pointed at one asking what it was he just said "I don't know but you NEED it" it also had a giant Honda badge in the middle of it. and it ended with him steeling a kids dog and making me outrun the cops while he told me to use the steering wheel flailing it around in my face and me explaining to him he never hooked it up.
Well, I had a dealership owner drooling at my Toyota today, apparently. Our mechanic next door does all of his work and inspects all of the vehicles he takes in, so when he was picking up a car today Larry brought him over to show him and pick his brain on power steering parts. He says I stole the truck and he'd offer over 4k for it. Kinda neat.

In fact, I had to run an extra ground on the e30 just to get the starter to work effectively. The fact that the solenoid has a ground in addition to the starter itself is a good thing - the second wire (black/yellow) is just signal.
I did a thing... [T]http://i.imgur.com/Ip4Vof4.jpg[/T] First car I've owned from this century... Also, them brakes.
[t]https://i.imgur.com/4nNXizk.jpg[/t] Fuck these plastic things holding plug wires. Made this 20 minute ordeal last an hour-plus. I would agree, but the mustang in black is always an acceptable color, too. And I do honestly like most sports cars in graphite, too.
Deep Impact Blue Metallic is also beautiful.
I've seen a newer mustang in this dark green color that looked amazing, wish I remembered the name.
