I dunno, I don't get the point, beyond the "huh, how about that" factor, which I can sort of understand. If I'm going through the trouble of a swap, I'd wanna stuff the fattest, beefiest motor in it I can. Speaking of swapu, I've wanted to put a 440 in the Dart for a while now, but I cannot convince padre to do it. :v:
I found a 440 out of a motor home also on CL, which spurred my thought of buying the Roadrunner roller to stick it into. But Satan, man.
I just don't like the idea of car payments.
I learned a valuable lesson about auto loans with no credit score buying the Subaru, as I would've paid $14k for a car listed at $7k, $2k down payment, severely high interest rate, and fuck-all for a warranty because it was 9 years old at the time of purchase. Even though I loved that car, I jumped for joy when it got totaled and the loan was finished off in one fell swoop from an insurance settlement. The financial hell is over.
Everything is so right about this. The martini livery on a truck doing fucking sikk skidz makes me rockHARD.

It's hilarious because gated complexes offer no extra protection and in some cases offer even less, speaking from experience
We have a rent a cop who circles the parking lot once a night, kicking people out of the hot tub
Sounds like what I used to do We wound up busting a dude for living behind a dumpster enclosure and urinating on people's cars and the condo complex told us off for it

I bought a 2010 Kia Forte. It has some of the cutest little tires. Here's the only photo I have of it, was a friends and he got tried of the small issues it had and he was annoyed at the tiny backseat with 2 kids. [t]http://i.imgur.com/zOfTmV4.jpg[/t]
the thing about kia in the UK is that the cars themselves are nice enough, they've got good equipment in them and shit, but we just get the most boring fucking engines in them. like the Optima, a legit good looking car that I would be more than happy to drive, only gets a 1.7 litre diesel in the UK. the fuck is that? load that shit up with a 2.0 turbo petrol or something, maybe a V6 and you've got yourself a pretty quick, good looking saloon that could fight the lower end BMWs. picantos only get a 1.1 or 1.2, which are pathetically low power engines. why not stick in the 1.0 turbo from the Ceed GT with 120 or something horsepower and get a nice little hot hatch on the go? that said, the Kia 1.0 turbo engines aren't exactly amazing, especially compared to the likes of Ford Ecoboost engines which can extract way more power from the same size of lump. admittedly mine is remapped but 160 horsepower for a 999cc engine is pretty dank. Kia seem to be far too grown up and sensible in the UK, the US at least seems to get some nice engine choices that actually make the cars competitive in comparison to other brands.
I got tired of 10ish MPG in a truck with no ac. I ain't looking for anything fast at all. It can do 90mph which is scary enough on those tiny tires. My only complaint is this has the MPG's but is not a suburban and cant carry 4 adults comfortably or haul kayaks comfortably..... maybe with a trailer or something.
you say tiny, but what tyre size is that thing rolling on?
195/65 r15"s. Defently not the manliest number I have spit out today.
Oh yeah, my pic for the OP. Psssssst Hey kids, wanna buy some live axles?
I remember that photo....and caption.... But does it qualify as one vehicle or two....

The fuck do you do when your door locks have one key, and ignition has another key, and you lose both keys and have no spares?
The fuck do you do when your door locks have one key, and ignition has another key, and you lose both keys and have no spares?
Buy a Yugo, you only need 1 screwdriver for everything
195/65 r15"s. Defently not the manliest number I have spit out today.
my winter steels are 195/55/15 but my summer alloys are 205/40/17. little bit of an odd size on the summer ones, at least here in the UK. car came on Nankang NS-2 tyres when I bought it, I swapped them to Nexen N8000s, and now I have Three A P606s on the wheels, waiting to be put on the car. I just bought the cheapest tyres I could get ahold of from my supplier before I got laid off from my job in auto parts, I didn't want to have to buy tyres for a while because I'll likely never get them at cost price again (those Three A ones came in at about £120 for the set I think)
The fuck do you do when your door locks have one key, and ignition has another key, and you lose both keys and have no spares?
Simple. Just admit your fucked. Either you can buy a entire lock kit for your car or you can have the dealership cut you keys per your VIN.
