I like how those slicks are like actually slicks, not just silly plastic toy tires! 1.I always hear consistently how TEIN and Raceland (nicknamed Riceland) are the worst Springs/shocks/etc for a Miata. They are too soft for the drop, and just have poorly balanced spring rates to begin with. I guess they have QC issues too. But, if they work great for you, that's all that matters. Cheers! 2. I totally thought that was a Fiero, took a good 20s to see it is a Fiat!
I'll try to record a video of this missile once I get the new tires on it. Right now those old cracked tires just make it handle like shit.

I looked at reviews for the brand, but not specifically for my car. I will avoid raceland like the plauge though, my friend suggested them and I laughed.
195/65 r15"s. Defently not the manliest number I have spit out today.
My 190E 2.6 has 185/65 r15s, feels solid on the NJ turnpike doing super illegal speeds. One time I passed a Porsche 911 on a trip back to Philadelphia, and the guy in the Porsche looked over at my car as I was passing and didn't look happy.
Don't drive like an ass saves a lot in maintenance costs
Upside. Cheaper not to drive like a fool. Downside. Not as fun not driving like a fool. (So long as you're safe, and people around you are safe, mind you.)

Went to Formula D long beach yesterday and shot some photos! Thought you guys might like them. Had to make the best out of shooting through two fences and being a short guy (hence why some of the white blockade is covering the bottom of the cars in some shots) :v: edit: reedited and added a new photo

I forget, is it just IndyCar and IMSA for the big headers, or am I missing another big series? Long Beach has always been an oddity of a circuit to me, never has made my MUST WATCH list for races. I know it's quite a huge weekend though.

Also, I live only a couple miles away, yet I've never bothered to check out Long Beach's Formula D event. I've driven on the road on the off season a couple times though. It's a bit surreal driving in ordinary traffic on a racetrack.
It's Aasbø's new car, a RWD 2JZ Corolla hatch.
Fuck me, help me out here. I just got a REAL GOOD FUCKING offer, I can buy a BMW N55 engine for a really good price. Everything is included. Engine is a 3litre with turbo's 340ish bhp and 450 nm. If I buy it, I'll have a really sweet fucking engine for the Green E36. However, I'll have to kind of postpone some work on the new e36 racecar...as I don't really have the finance for both at the same time... I'm torn up about it :v: Agree for buy Disagree for let it slide.
You can never have enough race car parts.
Well after doing some research, it doesn't turn out to be as good as it seems. 1. There's NO option to remove the anti-theft. Which means I would have to transfer EVERY single part of electronics. Which is not possible if you don't own the rest of the car. 2. Standalone ECU is too expensive, 1500 for the base ECU. That is without any tunes whatsoever. So all in all, the engine would come more closer to double of what it's offered for...
There's a madman who's actually done the swap though. But holy shit the wiring is a fucking mess. It would never work in a racecar :v: [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline] What the fuck, he swapped EVERYTHING Notice the zip-tied steeringwheel that the airbag ripped

So got the notorious intake manifold coolant leak on my 96 Mustang, got me the upgraded PI intake, Doesn't look too hard, especially after seeing the BMW swap above lol. Jesus fucking Christ the fuel pump still isn't in and Christ I work all week. fuckfuckfuckfuck. I'm getting a discount.
Made an instrument panel out of aluminium and wrapped it with black vinyl. Braided fuel lines and a new spot for the battery. Which is in a sealed container strapped down. The wiring is now complete, All that's left is cleaning up the wiring. I see a spaghetti monster in the making
i'm amazed at the ingenuity/"lets go flip bits and see what happens" new car owners have so apparently the 2017 f-150 and explorer (probably other 2017 fords using the same car computer too) can have secure idle added from the police interceptor utility just by flipping some bits over forscan you want mirrors that tilt down when you're reversing? forscan got you covered oh you want your explorer to have the lincoln infotainment theme? forscan also got you covered who needs physical hacking when you can just enable features willy-nilly with a bluetooth adapter

That's literally part of their appeal, and that the older cars were almost like LEGO when it came to interchangeable parts.

But I do see what you mean that the side series seem more interesting. Not sure about how close you can interact with drivers in other events, but getting to just talk to some of the FD drivers is pretty cool after Top 32 round. Even got a signed drift tire from Cameron Moore over the weekend. Friend is a big fan of Robbie Nishida and Dai Yoshihara and just talked to them about cars for a minute.

What in the h*ck is secure idle, exactly?
What in the h*ck is secure idle, exactly?
basically if the key isn't in the car it locks the trans into park
I wonder if I can enable secure idle in my mom's 2016 flex
https://www.icloud.com/numbers/0AtiYU-yJ4Nrfyfuzp-Mi0l8A#AsBuiltData_2016_Explorer it's a big maybe on the explorer and f150 it makes sense to include in the computer because police packages flex isn't police, but iirc the flex and the explorer have the same computer too, so maybe [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline]
Do you mean to tell me i can actually change software settings in my 2010 vic with this? it does have a push button start I'll have to look into it further
