https://www.icloud.com/numbers/0AtiYU-yJ4Nrfyfuzp-Mi0l8A#AsBuiltData_2016_Explorer it's a big maybe on the explorer and f150 it makes sense to include in the computer because police packages flex isn't police, but iirc the flex and the explorer have the same computer too, so maybe [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline] probably not you don't have enough computer stuff to forscan most likely [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline] also i've only seen secure idle enabled on civilian models with push button start, so if she doesn't have push button start it probably won't work [editline]3rd April 2017[/editline]
Well I mean the software just needs an ELM adapter right? Unless you mean in the car, in which case youre probably right, but if nothing else Id like to turn off the daytime running lights and disable dark car mode or whatever its called so the dome lights work when the doors open. What I would consider icing on the cake is if if its got the hardware guts for traction control, its just permanently turned off. There was a couple of times that would have been handy last winter.

Though its generally better to buy high quality ones, since the cheaper knockoffs don't support MS and HS-CAN at the same time. A 2010 Vic should be new enough for the headlights to be controlled by a BCM. But you need to know what bit that is. I've already used to it to enable DRL's on my 2014 Fusion, so it is an option controlled by the BCM. Ford apparently only enables it on Canadian and fleet vehicles. I also used it to enable reverse camera, because Ford had the courtesy to put the wiring in at factory, and I just bought a used OEM one on ebay and put it in, flipped a bit and it works. :v: I also typo'd once and ignored the warning and made the exterior lights go into rave mode. Very important to backup your AS-BUILT data.
That's only for 2005 and earlier cars. 2006+ need a Ferd laptop.
pre-2005 i thought used a connector under the glovebox?
pre-2005 i thought used a connector under the glovebox?
http://www.idmsvcs.com/2vmod/lcm/darkcar.html you had this link in your post when I replied, which is what I was replying to.
yeah, i posted that and then realized he was a 2010 vic just use computers in that case
Was anyone experimenting with HHO generators?
yeah, i posted that and then realized he was a 2010 vic just use computers in that case
Found this thread on ForScan: http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2651 Both dark car and DRL's are a pre-made toggle on the LCM in Forscan (which makes sense, they are pretty common).
Was anyone experimenting with HHO generators?
I've built one before

I even disconnected the battery when I did it.
Was anyone experimenting with HHO generators?
I dont think so, but i was doing gas vapor stuff for a while.
i'm amazed at the ingenuity/"lets go flip bits and see what happens" new car owners have so apparently the 2017 f-150 and explorer (probably other 2017 fords using the same car computer too) can have secure idle added from the police interceptor utility just by flipping some bits over forscan you want mirrors that tilt down when you're reversing? forscan got you covered oh you want your explorer to have the lincoln infotainment theme? forscan also got you covered who needs physical hacking when you can just enable features willy-nilly with a bluetooth adapter
I wonder how much they're charging for all those little extras that are just one or two flipped boolean states away from being in the car. [vid]https://puu.sh/v8EHj/5954999deb.MOV[/vid] Aaaaaand sorted. Replaced the super shit cloth "seals" with cut up inner tube rubber. Now the only rattle when closing the doors comes from the garage itself so i think i can call it fixed.
I've built one before
Planning on building one to sustain my 998cc Suzuki Swift, I wonder if the power generated by the alternator is enough to produce sufficient amount of HHO.
Planning on building one to sustain my 998cc Suzuki Swift, I wonder if the power generated by the alternator is enough to produce sufficient amount of HHO.
nope, that violates a law of thermodynamics. your best bet is to run some deep cycle batteries on a seperate circuit and just plug it in at night. you don't want to pump the oxygen into the cylinder either, as that'll melt everything. it's easy enough to seperate the two anyway, just gotta not let the air mix between the anode and the cathode I just use mine for a jewelers torch, but I've toyed with the idea of running a big one in a cheapo crap box like an old accord or something [editline]4th April 2017[/editline] oh and hydrogen makes steel brittle. ideally you want a car with as many aluminum parts in the combustion chamber as possible, and anything that's not aluminum should be nitrided or chromed, whichever is more appropriate. if you can't do that it's not the end of the world but don't expect half a million miles out of that motor.
I pulled the dark mode jumper from my 05 and it's still in dark mode. I even disconnected the battery when I did it.
Are your door ajar sensors cut?
My 05's dark mode is literally the interior bulbs removed :downs:
Are your door ajar sensors cut?
They may be, although I don't see any loose wires. Probably inside the door panels.
They may be, although I don't see any loose wires. Probably inside the door panels.
" If you turn the ignition key to the "ACC" position, open the driver's door, and don't hear a warning chime then you've likely got a cut wire somewhere."
Definitely no chimes, I figured it was a pi thing but yeah it's probably cut wires.
I'm glad I have a civilian car so I don't have to deal with inept PD butchery.
I'm glad I have a civilian car so I don't have to deal with inept PD butchery.
When they stripped down my ride to install my equipment, my bud split his thumb open on a hidden rusty razor blade in the bumper assembly. :disgust:
I'm glad I have a civilian car so I don't have to deal with inept PD butchery.
Ah yes I remember my lack of glovebox, lack of rear door assembly, lack of center console, lack of interior lights and hole drilled in the roof plugged with duct tape.... still miss my Interceptor to death though.
Would a 2011 Mazda 3 s sport be a good choice? It's $8500, but it has 50k miles on it. My last car was a fiesta and I loved it for how small it was, but it also was a bit golf cart-y
Jeez mine isnt nearly as butchered, the worst ive got was the anti theft module snipped out and a mildly sub-par masking job on the last paint job.
I'm glad I have a civilian car so I don't have to deal with inept PD butchery.
They're good at putting things together, but when it comes down to stripping... all bets are off. Have to remember that the people building these things are not cops and may have the same experience as your local lube tech Source: Checked in every day at work while they built and stripped a squad car.

Just no lights or chimes when I open the doors. :v: [editline]4th April 2017[/editline]
a mildly sub-par masking job on the last paint job.
That too [editline]4th April 2017[/editline] And no seatbelts in the back
