Well god damn it, it finally happened to me. Someone broke into my car last night. All they stole were my floor mats and phone charger though? [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] Not the amp in my back seat or tools in my glove box
crackheads are weird man. someone slashed the top on my aunts z4 a few years back and stole the cup of change while ignoring the brand new macbook pro sitting on the passenger seat
I'm glad the only thing they tried to steal when my Firebird was broken into was the car itself.
I have never had my car broken into but a friend of mine had some prick break all his windows just to take his $10 seat covers. He accessed the seat covers through each window rather than unlocking the vehicle after breaking the first one. The car was still locked when he came out to it. We can only assume the seat covers were stolen by a caveman or something.
New to cars, gonna be installing a subwoofer (not like a dual 18 inch kicker shitbox that breaks neighbors windows, just a hideaway) in my car, and I really don't want to spend money on someone to install it for me, so I'm just seeing if anyone here can check if how I'm going to wire it is correct. Sub is a Rockford Fosgate P300-10, so it has an inbuilt amp. This is the gist I'm getting of how to wire it up. Power Cable: Battery (Live) -> Inline fuse -> Sub Amp (Live) Turn-on Cable: Fuse thats only active when car is on/in accessory mode -> Subwoofer (Turn-on Switch) Ground Cable: Sanded area of metal -> Sub Amp (Ground) RCA: Stereo -> Subwoofer (Will a Line-out converter be necessary if the stereo is already aftermarket? (Pioneer DEH-X4800BT)) Does that wiring seem good enough to not have my car set on fire? Am I missing anything?

You can hit the car and it does nothing.
I was once comparing tire sizes for my Subaru in a store parking lot and set one in front of an installed wheel and the alarm went off. Thought I'd accidentally bumped the car next to me but nope, that was the day I realized the Impreza has theft protection on wheels that could be activated by just punching them or something
Hmmm that reminds me Whats everyone's unpopular opinion, AA edition? I think the New Darts with a manual trans and the turbo motors are preddy gud small cars. Cousin's wife has one and I honestly enjoyed driving it quite a bit. I think if I was in the market for a small car I'd nab one. I also think hatches are fuckin lame
They're ok looking small cars, back seat isn't too comfortable. Still a fiat tho. I think the r35 is overrated.

Dark gray plastic contrasting colored paint looks neat too IMO, [url=http://i.imgur.com/fklT3Ul.jpg]this for instance[/url]. Also Japanese hatchbacks are overrated and pickups are underrated.

My sister has one and I got roughly 14hrs of seat time in it, I liked how responsive it was the milage and how fast I could get it just cruising. BUT THERE WAS NO WERE TO PUT MY ARMS. I'm a couch driver. I like my arms supported while driving like everything else I drive is. That fucking car literally has nothing for your elbows to hold on to to make the experience more comfortable. I like priuses for their purpose of eco car.
I'm not huge on arm rests. No vehicle I've ever really driven for a while has had them, so maybe it's just cause I don't know how good they actually are. Can imagine it'd be helpful for long drives though. When I sit in the driver seat of a comfy conversion fan it feels like I'm ready to drive for years :v: Can anyone even argue that priuses are bad for what they're made to do?
a buddy of mine's mom has one of the new darts. it's a miserable piece of shit and she regrets ever buying it. my unpopular opinion is that I like 4 door muscle a lot better than 2 door muscle. works out fine for me, 4 door cars are dirt cheap [editline]9th April 2017[/editline] [QUOTE=evilweazel;52077821]I'm not huge on arm rests. When you drive stick and roll your window down, what the hell good is an arm rest?
[QUOTE=Xanadu;52077933]When you drive stick and roll your window down, what the hell good is an arm rest?[/QUOTE] Well todays model cars you cant really reach the window break over with your arm and be comfortable. [editline]9th April 2017[/editline] [t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/s1Ft5yGSn_g/maxresdefault.jpg[/t] I mean LOOK, the window is SHOULDER level with you. [editline]9th April 2017[/editline] [t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/KqGXnOuVPic/maxresdefault.jpg[/t] Same goes for the darty (Which I think he is using literally the ONLY way you can be comfortable in that fucking car with the arm rest in the door)
maybe if you dont have a big girthy torso fuckin manlets haha
[QUOTE=Xanadu;52077933]When you drive stick and roll your window down, what the hell good is an arm rest?[/QUOTE] one hand on the stick, the other out the window. steer with your clutch leg
Foot out the window, foot on the brake, hand smoking a cigar and a hand on the phone. NYC driving. 0mph. But real talk I've been that "steering with kneecaps and lighting a cigar" fuckwit before
I've got a cigarette hanging out my mouth 24/7 so I spend a lot of time steering with my knees
[QUOTE=Xanadu;52078039]Foot out the window, foot on the brake, hand smoking a cigar and a hand on the phone. People who smoke in their cars disgust me My parents 300c is gorgeous and was immaculate inside when we got it, and my mom has trashed it with ash and now it smells like ciggie butts all the time. fuck u smokers, signed, me [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] [QUOTE=DPKiller;52078056]Foot out the window, foot on the floor, left hand on the wheel, right hand on a schlotzsky's sandwich while going 80mph while fighting the wrapper from coming up and spilling your chips because its too hot to roll up the windows.[/QUOTE] My friend sent me a snap of his dad driving their Super Duty on the high way, while steering with his knees, because he was dipping his tendies in hot sauce. He then panned over to the spedometer and it was reading like 98, fuckin' only way to get around, imo
both feet out the window, cruise control set to 100 mph, sandwich in each hand. ignore the steering wheel and the brakes [editline]9th April 2017[/editline] your mom's got the wrong idea, you're supposed to flick the butts out the window. bonus points if you hit a cyclist

So glad I never got pulled over in that car cause I'd be fucked six ways from Sunday for that and a laundry list of other things
Every now and then when I turn my fans on I get a faint whiff of weed [editline]8th April 2017[/editline] But it's also legal here

RCAs go to the rear or sub out in your head unit, no line out converter needed. You got it though! Take your time to hide the wires and be proud when it looks nice!
It's Saturday, so Cars N Coffee! It was huge today, a constant rotating stock of cars, probably close to 200 attendees.
