You can see just how deep the car was sunken by where the mud is on the side skirts.
Looking at those pictures reminds me of something:
My very, very wealthy uncles, very, VERY wealthy friend bought some variety of McLaren, and they were showing off the pictures to me, acting like it was the coolest shit ever, and I thought it was just alright. I mean, I can appreciate super cars on a technical level, but they don't really do anything for me, honestly. I've never been drawn to care about them. I dunno, they're 12000% unattainable for me, maybe that's why I can't hold interest in them. I don't even know how to explain it, really, but it's just so hard to get into something like them. Like, of course something that expensive will be fast. There's no limits to work with, which I guess can be appealing to people. It sounds dumb, but idk. I should get excited about them, but I can't. They're just excessive to the point of soullessness for me.
The exception being the 6x6 G63, if I ever become famous it will be my DD. Literally the only likable mercedes product.

Lets all hold a moment of silence for this poor lad that will forever become one with the wrench.
So who the fuck remembers xmods? I used to have a lot of them when I was little but they fucking disappeared. So I bought another. Hard to believe this little guy is 12 years old now.

I had an nsx xmod. My brother had a skyline iirc. It sucked because they were like different generations or something and none of the parts were interchangeable.

I wonder what happened to mine? 🤔

nsx and skyline xmods are both first gen introduced but I think they did the skyline on the evolution chassis too
xmods are lame because no chevy trucks
I never had a xmod, only zip zaps. Which my dumbass would find a random ass walwart, plug it into the car and wait. My mom always wondered why my cars would never last and the bottom of the car would swell up and make contact with the floor.

I tend not to appreciate street supercars, at least not as much as I used to. I find too many brands stuffing their cars full of luxury, luxuries that weigh the car down and numb the experience. I don't hate on electronics and luxuries exclusively, I just find too many supercars don't blend the lines between road and race car well enough.
One of my favorite Ferraris is the Ferrari Enzo. Perhaps it shouldn't be since I'm an old school manual-no-abs/TC type of guy, but the Enzo is actually quite a stripped down car. Lots of bare carbon everywhere, only AC as an amenity, there is no auto mode despite the paddle shifters (so you always have to shift on your own), and has manual seats and windows. Not quite an F40, but I just can't get over the F1 styling cues. The F50 was supposed to be a racecar for the road, even using a detuned F1 engine. But it was slower than the F40, and just wasn't styled or built like it should have been; the Enzo is what the F50 should have been all along.
I also love cars like the Pagani Huayra, Koenigsegg CCXR, Agera R, One:1, etc. I would probably come close to fainting if I saw any of those cars in real life. But I always have a hard time deciding what one I'd spend my hypothetical wealth on.
More realistically, maybe one day I could afford an M2/M3, or a Corvette. But I still would rather buy a trackday car like an Ariel Atom, or a Caterham. Or even a Global MX-5 Cup car.

I've never liked them either, to me they're almost like those outlandish concept car designs we always see, but real.
I like cars in modesty/simplicity. Smooth clean lines, not 10 different inwards juts and holes, they look good in just being themselves and being simple.
I guess as an example, a mercury marauder or buick gnx. Clean, basic cars, that're set up -just right- and look oh so rad.
a perfect balance of business and power

a bunch of holes and jutty angles that dont flow well (unless its from a side profile)

An example of a clean supercar is the pantera. Maybe im just an old fart, I like clean styling

(Granted that one is modded)

She cleans up real nice.
4th picture from the bottom, thats a Panoz Esperante yes? Fucking love Panoz, one of the less talked about super car brands I dig the hell out of. Like Mosler and TVR, or DOME even despite DOME being mainly experimental shit. Vector is one I really miss seeing.

What are these? I've never seen either before. The best guesses i have for the black one is a noble or some mad hennessy, i'm completely lost on the red one. Almost feels like a body kit for an XK8
Also that GT is so gorgeous. That and the XJ220 are the only supercars on my bucket list. Although the 220 trumps the GT because it's a genuinely serious car and not ford's gift to itself for how great they think they are.
The first time I saw a XJ220 in person I was blown away just at how awesome it is (was like 2 weeks ago as well). Why though wasn't it used as a bond car? it's like, the most 'bond' a car can get (after a DB5 ofcourse)
The rear of it is just too damn sexy
Red one is a panoz esperante

My friend sent me a snap of his dad driving their Super Duty on the high way, while steering with his knees, because he was dipping his tendies in hot sauce. He then panned over to the spedometer and it was reading like 98, fuckin' only way to get around, imo[/QUOTE]

Super Duties, at least modern ones, have really really touchy steering. When I dailied both the 2015 F-250 and 06 Impreza it'd throw me off how much power steering the truck has, my Subaru felt like a tractor in comparison. Like you can turn 180deg in the thing with your pinky finger

I hate that kind of powersteering.
Removes the steering wheel feedback.
But my first car had neither ABS or powersteering, and barely even had EFI, so...

My bad haha! I googled pantera because I remember it kinda looking like that and that one was the cleanest looking

Nah you got a Pantera, he was talking about Ridge's pictures
My favorite Pantera has to be the GT-S model with the wing. Fills in some of the empty space around the tail.

My favorite Pantera doesn't have anything to do with cars... :saddowns:

Drain power steering fluid, replace with 100% Lucas power steering stop leak.
I blame chevy for the reason I do this.

I'm pretty sure my dad's Chevy's power steering is 100% Lucas stop leak at this point too. But hey, it stopped leaking. :v:

since when was Pantera dad metal
Priest and Maiden, sure I can see how that would be dad metal, not Pantera though
my tunes vary, it's mostly rock and metal with a smattering of other stuff, the lightest being No Doubt, a Klingande tune and a couple of tracks from the Frozen soundtrack
