First picture of the Demon. 1023 hp. 9 second quarter mile. Comes with a stocked toolchest to swap in race parts. From the road to the track Fuck dude. I NEED TO BE RICH.
Is this another quarter mile car that has the fuel mileage of an oil tanker, and has to be taken everywhere on a flatbed truck because the steering wheel was removed for weight even though the frame is made of cast iron steel?

I imagine it isn't street legal in the drag configuration.

And who expects a drag car to get good mpgeez? :v: :v:

There was a Time Attack at PPIR yesterday I missed, but I plan to go to the one on May 7th.

Yes, I know it was made to go fast in a straight line and nothing else, but haven't we seen this a thousand times already?

What else would you want out of a drag car? The fact that it can be readily converted to 100% street readiness is a pretty serious innovation by itself for a factory race car. Mopar isn't in the business of redefining drag racing, they're in the business of going fast and looking cool while doing it. What would make you happy? "Dodge announces world's slowest drag car, but its 90 degree angle wheels allow it to drive sideways while it serves you parfaits from the head unit"???

I'm sure the demon won't be too far off in street mode. Finally got around to that body work on the Trueno. Leaves me flat broke for the week, but I like the way it turned out. Unfortunately I don't have any before pictures, but there was a pretty ugly rust spot on the rear quarters right where the bumper meets the wheel well. And I got my mudflaps installed! Ready for show season. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ox8vxO6.jpg[/thumb]
Can it go round a 1° bend though?
Sideways, like a true 'Murican cars should.
Jesus fucking Christ. 1000 horsepower in a fucking street car. Chevy and Ford need to fucking up their game. No one buys their track cars, they need a fucking drag car like this. I mean its still a Chrysler and will at most get 70k miles, but 1000 horsepower

You buy the hellcat of you wanna burn tires all day, you get the gt350 if you want to win races
I think people are coming up on the "I want to see something new and exciting" mentality. I can understand, I want to see a car go fast but at more then just up a strip. I'm not knocking it, not at all I fucking love drag races, watching cars pushed to their limits going speeds you'd never think it could. But there is something to be desired about a fast car going fast in corners, but thats what purpose built cars are for. You're not going to get that in a Kia thats for damn sure. Aside from car philosophy, I finally got my hands on a bluetooth OBD reader and it works perfectly with torque. I can now efficantly distract myself while driving looking at shit I don't need to. [sp]I'm kidding, too ADHD for that shit.[/sp]
Fast and agile... like a sn ek? Like, uh, some sort of.... hmmm.... Viper?

The Ford performance vehicles (GT350/R, RS, and GT) are selling so well they're almost impossible to buy without paying astronomical markups, which people pay anyway [editline]11th April 2017[/editline]
Fast and agile... like a sn ek? I wish chevy would sell a performance vehicle that's not a fucking camaro or corvette. the SS was a good start but it's objectively worse than a hellcat. I'd suck many many dicks for a crew cab short bed z71 with a blown 427 in it making say 800/780 at the crank [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] maybe bring back the nova or monte carlo for such a purpose [editline]11th April 2017[/editline] in fact bringing back the nova might actually be a good idea for chevy. they could sell it as a basic small car version as they did or a proper performance version like the old yenkos. it works for ford with the mustang, where the basic V6 model is rental car tier and the cobras are proper hoon machines
The Nova fucking NEEDS to make a come back, in one form or another. Preferred both/many.

Nobody who buys a raptor uses it for truck stuff though. :v: Well nobody with any sense. I've actually seen a raptor with a ladder rack in the bed
So the scanner I ordered arrived but I have issues getting it to connect to the ECU. The port provides power and I am able to connect it to my phone over Bluetooth, but Torque is unable to connect to the ECU. Any things I should check with the car itself before concluding this scanner itself doesn't support the ECUs protocol? I turned the ignition on and even tried it with the engine running but no dice. Alright, got a question. Should I be concerned about this noise? 9k Miles, fresh oil, on my 2004 Savage. It's not super loud and as far as I can tell it's not from the cam chain, as the sound would originate lower, near the shoddy stock tensioner.
Porsche update: I took the door handle off and took it to a locksmith and they were able to get the code off of it so that I could actually lock my car from my grubby neighbors. hooked it up to my car's battery and most of the electricals work! Headlights go up, headlights go down. Windshield wipers wipe, trunk unlatches, all lights are good, gauge lights are good, none of the interior lights are good, tape deck is hella good, but as soon as I touch the A/C at all the entire car shuts off despite still being connected. If I turn it off wait a few seconds then turn it back on stuff comes back. I'm guessing the AC fan is full of squirrels or something and causing too much current at stall.

Anybody here know much about old Toyota Land Cruisers? I'm starting to consider what I'd like to get when my current vehicle gets [DEL]taken away[/DEL] passed down to my brother, and I really like the look of the 80's FJ60s and 62s. Problem is most of the nicer ones seem to live on the west coast, and I imagine anything I find here in the midwest will be full of rust and other fun things. I'd love to grab a cheap one as a project car, but I know almost nothing about refurbishing vehicles so odds are I'd be spending more than a clean one would be anyway. They just look so nice...
Aircooled engines like this make a lot of noise. Approach it the Harley way and get louder pipez
Just natural engine noise then? I've been told that, given the fact it's a thumper, that the engine noise of it is a fair bit louder than most others. Not the exhaust noise, necessarily, but the engine itself.

Also try another car, any other car and see what you get.
