So, radio is still whining.
Had to actually drive the car and rev it to get it to whine.
So, what is my best bet; i have heard to ground the radio chassis to my car chassis, radio chassis to battery neg, radio ground to battery neg
Never mind the battery is also dead lol
A week before i was getting it serviced it decides to die and leave me stranded 2 hours from home

My situation is dire
I keep a bucket in the bed of my truck for this very reason
you know in the off chance you're not parked close enough to some woods to shit there
Check out this garbage that's supposed to be hidden behind a timing cover, totally blew off half the cover. :v:

Ripped everything out, just gotta pop the axles, shift linkage and a couple things like the speedo cable and a ground. I'll probably pull the head then I need to borrow a hoist and this junk comes out. Hacked up a heater hose a little, gotta get a male/male fitting since that hose will never come off again without destroying the heater core. Monday I'll get the new engine and fresh maintenance parts on order.
A buddy of mine broke my axle nuts loose with a tiny little Dewalt XR 1/4" Impact Driver, it actually broke part of the axle off since he didn't pry out one side. Fucking astounding little impact, definitely gonna get one at some point.
Didn't do too much. Got some new engine supports and installed a few things. If the pics are too big let me know and I'll resize or thumbnail them.

Also modified the steering collumn. Removed the entire cilinder lock housing and everything else that seemed like it could go.

Theres a chance that the ground from the antenna is causing the niose as well. Try unplugging the antenna and drive it around again, you may also need a noise filter there as well. I went through 3 replacment cables and 2 mounts before I got the noise down enough I don't hear it anymore. Again, it could just be the radio itself isnt shielded enough from ambient em fields.
Just buy a new radio that isn't dual, Pyle, boss, xo vision, power akoustik, etc. this is like trying a million different methods to save a trans that's slipping. Replace. There's a good chance that simply the internal bits that are supposed to filter that noise died. A Dual is a throwaway radio anywho.
Oh yeah I saw road signs saying the 1 was closed. If you're detouring through Paso Robles hit me up and we can grab lunch!
i'm pretty sure the wait staff at the denny's in paso robles knows me by face now just from how many times i've eaten there going up or down california
Well, after a week of aggravation and waiting: it sits in my drive way.
And I can no longer use the false excuse that I can't drive a stick when the inventory truck comes down every week.

fuck YES
I scored an ORIGINAL DTC ´99 E46 motorsport oilpump for 200 euro.
A what you say? So the engine I'm building into the car has a problem where the oil pump fucks up and the engine goes kaput. So BMW made a special motorsport racing oil pump that fixes it. It's priceless. (like, 3000 euro+ new)
Got the truck back from the detailer today! They said I could pick it up Thursday, which was nice because it was snowing. But it wouldn't start in the -1 temps, so I had to drive the MX-5 yesterday.

The Abarth has a great exhaust note. They do it by not having a muffler on the car, and bending the plumbing around to get that sound.

maybe she meant the barbardone which is made by one of fiat owned companies for competition use

but they don't advise to put them on road cars (people do anyway)
Most exhausts are "offroad use only", not like people care anyways.

I remember the Element from SSX 3, billboards everywhere and you even grind a rail right through its doors on one slope.
Maybe one of you can shed some light on my situation. Been thinking about this problem for a few days now.
The M54B30 engine uses drive-by-wire. There's no physical throttle cable. I would idealy put individual throttle body's on it from an S50 engine. These however, use a throttle cable.
I can convert everything mechanicaly. The problem is : how will this go with the ECU.
Because I'm losing the e-pedal signal, and the original tps sensor.
For example : is the S50 tps sensor the same? The connector isn't. but I can't find out if the signals itself are different.
And, can the ecu run with only 1 tps sensor. etc.

Am picking the Rb25DET up next Friday and should be getting thrown into my Foxbody. It's probably going to be a massive pain in the ass, but should be a fun and a really unique swap. Hopefully Mustange meets people won't absolutely hate me :v:
I was down in Toronto for some work training and had nothing to do one night, then a coworker that left a few months back randomly sent me a text to pick my brain about something. I mentioned I was in Toronto and he pointed out that the auto show was on, which I somehow missed. I had always wanted to go, but Toronto is a far drive.
I ended up having a blast! I was drooling all over the damn place, I very rarely see any nice cars around my city, let alone get to sit in any.
Of all the cars I sat in, I have to say Toyota has some pretty shit interiors at the moment. The Corolla I sat in was full of cheap-looking glossy black plastic.

Don't you have a racing computer?
Sitting in luxury cars at auto shows ruined cheap cars for me
Don't you have a racing computer?
Motec is probably worth like his whole car lol, they're definitely not cheap.
Just got a call back from the TE72 seller saying he fixed the brakes.
It'll be fun to have a project, ND it times nicely now that the slow season for work is starting to pass.

Any car is a luxury car if it suits what you want out of it.

I sat in a couple infinity's, namely a q70 sedan and their big ass tank of an SUV(qx80?), then a Hyundai Genesis...er genesis g80 and then sitting in a brand new Honda Civic.

Even the weight of the doors felt cheap. :v:
