I've just decided I'll be installing an entire E46 M3 suspension setup on my E36 racecar. Wish me luck :v:
[t]https://puu.sh/vi2hT.jpg[/t] :joy: I've made a to-do list which is my goal for this year: Change three of the four balljoints in the front. Maybe just change the fourth too so they're all brand new. None are bad, but they're old and the rubber seal has broken on three of them [del]Change the front lights. They are not the same type even though they look the same[/del] [del]Change windshield. The one that's currently in is starting to fail in the lower right corner. I have several good ones, I only need to buy a new rubber trim[/del] [del]Change the rubber trim on the rear side windows. They are old and cracked up as hell[/del] [del]Change the front brakes. It's been a long time since last time, and now it's not braking straight anymore.[/del] [del]Fix the throttle pedal. The old one was really fucked and "fixed" by a gorilla, so I don't really have a pedal at all, just the roller thing that usually goes behind the actual pedal[/del] [del]Fix brake lights being constantly on[/del] Fix front left wing mounts. The front of it is loose due to broken mounts Fix some oil pan threads The engine I switched to has a slightly broken and leaking one. Upgrade the speaker system. I just want to. Putting in a sub and some amps for the sub and speakers should do the trick, and cleaning up the wiring. [del]Tighten the steering box. I have several cm of play in the steering wheel[/del] Do a wheel alignment to straighten the steering wheel after tightening the steering box Weld tiny rust spot I found in the floor just in front of the left rear wheel and two tiny holes under the spare wheel in the front
Hey guys, I have a question if anyone would like to be so kind and help a guy out. My mother has a Mazda Demio (unsure which model exactly) and recently there's been some problems with the lights. The issue is that neither the headlights nor the main beams light up at all. It doesn't matter how I turn the stick that is supposed to turn off and on the lights or pull or push the main beam stick. It doesn't seem likely that all the lights are out, however we haven't checked this so I suppose there is a slight chance it might be the issue. When the stick is in neutral mode the blue light next to the fuel indicators etc. light up suggesting that the main beam is supposed to light up, even though the stick isn't in such a position that it should light up. The turning lights (blinking orange lights) work fine all of them. I've googled to check what might be the issue but haven't really found an answer. I'm really not well-versed with cars or how to repair them at all, but it feels like this isn't such a major issue and it's never too late to learn. If anyone of you know spontaneously or have any suggestions of where to look please let me know.
I weirdly like to work backwards from the problem. Stick a multimeter in your headlights contacts and see if you have any voltage there, If you do replace bulbs. If you don't, make sure you did not blow a fuse and check to see if your headlight relay is working. aka poke around with your multimeter and test shit, your switch should't be the cause if the DASH is responding to you turning on the headlights.

Imo, it's the simplest, most effective way. Remember to check grounds. A lot of people skip these, they corrode rather fast when uncoated.
Sweet, thanks!
[QUOTE=Birdman101;52095196]That poor abomination[/QUOTE] i want to buy it, and transform it back to the original :(
[QUOTE=Strontboer;52095368]i want to buy it, and transform it back to the original :([/QUOTE] That would completely ruin it though. It's a Binz model with 3 ever made in the world.
This week so far has been fun for fixin shit. Fuel pump on a 97 cougar, easy. Then some mild hack work on an older ford escape, which is aptly named. Had to pull the exahust down to hollow out the rear cat, which sadly didnt fix the lack of power issue its having so thats delayed till the owner gets me money. Before that I changed the alternator and put in a valve cover gasket for an oldish mistu truck, now the lady says its running rough. Wonderful, not my fault though, that thing has issues. Then today I did some more work on the roomie's maxima, hard starting and near constant stalling. Turned out the "rubber" hose dealio for the intake split and was leaking. Got a new one at O Reallys for 39 bux on the mark. Then a really hackey alignment after getting a new tire for it. The wheel is straight, so I hope thatll keep it from eating tires till the real issue (bad ball joint) can be fixed.
I put the Blazer up for sale Monday.
[QUOTE=Ridge;52096190]I put the Blazer up for sale Monday.[/QUOTE] Its honestly a good time to do that kind of thing. A Lot of people are getting there income tax checks and wanting to buy vehicles. I just found out one on my really good friends's mom is a title clerk in the county I live in, and he says she can get a title for title-less vehicles easy peasy. Im gonna talk to her sometime, but ooohhh boooooy if this means I can grab one of the super cheap "no title" barn find bikes off craigslist and get a title for it, I am gonna be one happy bastard. Maybe I could even title the minibike or dune buggy.
[QUOTE=Morgen;52093512]Model S is independently verified as doing 60 in 2.28 seconds even though Tesla only claims 2.4. I'd be a hyprocrite to say it's not cool to really dig alternate power sources, but you don't do it at the expense of other shit. I don't go "oh well, it makes 700ft pounds. The doble made 2000 in 1924 i don't know what the fuss is about." In other doings, I had a jolly good english day out on sunday. I'll only accept him if he posts a video of his leaf doing a burnout until a tyre pops (or the batteries)

That is the uncoolest thing I have ever witnessed.
The whirring of the tires got me.
rain leads to points being deducted
[QUOTE=Ldesu;52094345] Change the front lights. [QUOTE=Morgen;52097937][video]https://youtu.be/KGkCFXxUerg[/video][/QUOTE] With rain like that I could pull a burnout with my 60hp (when it was new 40 years ago) Kadett.
It's okay guys Tesla will bring electric burnouts to the middle class.
Turns out 20 lug nuts are heavier than you think. It's like Christmas every week with small parts being ordered
